Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

LOL I had to ask. I met a girl on the WDW DIS trip and she liked to eat that. We'd never heard of it and when we found out what it was, we were a little ummmmm, grossed out. No offense! :flower3:

 It's good!!!

ummm...what the heck is that??

Poutine is French fries with gravy and cheese curds on it - yum!

Now I need to know what that is.

It's cheesy, potato-y, gravy-y goodness :thumbsup2

Hey to all the new people! It's taken me all day to catch up!! We had our first confirmed case of the flu here in AZ, actually in the NW valley part of Phoenix, which is where we live. But it's not really close to us. I keep telling my kids and DH to wash their hands!! We just went to Walmart, definitely need to wash our hands after that. I don't usually do Walmart, I'm a Target girl, but I would still wash my hands even after going in Target!
Ugh, that sucks. Did you see my post about our first confirmed case in NV? I don't want to freak out but I want this stuff gone!

I wasn't really worried about it until yesterday when I got the call to officially schedule our arrival time and I had to go over his complete medical history for the anestheia. I guess it hadn't really dawned on me completely that he was going to be put under for the surgery as it is just a pretty minor outpatient surgery. But, as someone who has never had a general anesthesia outside of whatever happy drugs they gave me during my c-section, the idea of them taking my baby away from me and putting him under is a freaking me out a little bit. I know in my heart that he is going to be just fine and that getting tubes should improve his quality of life, but having a few extra reminders to whatever deity you believe in can't hurt!:lovestruc
Awww Jane.  I know 100% what you are feeling right now!!! I just went through this with Adam in February. I was a nervous wreck when I found out he had to be put under. But he did fine, and I know Ty will too.

I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. Call me if you need to talk.

Welcome to all the new Divas!

My name is Jane and I haven't been around much lately because I work on a college campus and it's the end of the semester, so I'm super busy with all of the normal end of the school year wrap up plus I'm dealing with a couple of other things right now that are causing major drama in my work world.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say that I miss everyone and ask that if you have a moment to say a quick prayer I would really appreciate it as Ty is having his surgery to put tubes in his ears early Friday morning. Jane, I'll keep Ty in my thoughts and prayers.

He'll be in my prayers & so will you . It's so hard to put our kids in others hands. I know when my son had surgery, I wanted to be in the room with him and protect him.

Good luck and hope the little guy gets better soon.

That's why they call me ChaCha! You could be a ChaCha, too!! Oh yeah, you already are! :thumbsup2
I'm a wannabe ChaCha. :rotfl: Are you getting lots of flu questions now?

That doesn't sound good to me.
Me either. I hope she doesn't try to make it to feed to us in June. :scared1:

C'mon, don't be a wuss!!! You like fries?? Cheese?? Gravy?? Yummy (a bit messy, but yummy!)
Fries, yes.
Cheese, yes.
Cheese curds? No.
Gravy, yes, but only on mashed potatoes.
And certainly not all mixed together. :rotfl:

Sorry Theresa - I'll have to pass.
I really don't do fries at all, but with gravy and cheese?:scared: I am one of those weird people who don't like cheese much. I only like pizza with lots of sauce and very little cheese. No cheese on my burgers, thank you or in my salads either. But I am all for everyone liking different things, I mean you guys are very tolerant of my cabbage obsession!

Jane, my prayers are with you and Ty :flower3: It is so scary when your child needs an operation - it's something that is out of your control and that's hard to deal with. You know, it's going to be way harder on you than on him. Just make sure he doesn't eat too much too soon after, no matter how hungry he is. You'll be there to spoil him and love him when it's finished and his ears will be so much better!
