Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

I was a travel agent for 5 years too but I had a baby so I wasn't able to travel every month but I did get away as much as possible!

Kids - They DO grow up and you WILL live through it even though it's hard to imagine right now! And when they leave to go to college you'll cry and your house will be so quiet and you'll be waiting for them to call you and you'll wonder where did the years go...really you will! Hmmm...wondering when my college age daughter is going to call?? ;)

Or I could just pretend to cry wait to see the car go around the corner and then grab my pre packed bag and make for the airport to do another Divas trip! Caribbean anyone?

Oh man - now I WANT tacos and burritos and chips and guacamole :upsidedow

Lord - it's been a day! Frank was driving and one of the back tires exploded  He changed to the spare and we had to go to Costco and ended up getting four new tires, plus Jesse's $100 worth of prescriptions (yucky nose and eczema), plus groceries because we were there - bye bye $1000 so fast my head is spinning!!! I had a $1.99 hot dog and a soft drink for lunch (tried to cheap out from the smoking debit card!!!).

...... but now I feel like running to the store and getting the stuff for tacos - or going to the Mexican restaurant :rolleyes1

Costco, I love that place, but man, it sure can add up fast!

Good afternoon everyone! :goodvibes

MouseAdventure was so much fun! Lil Churro was an awesome mascot. :cheer2:

Cheryl - I agree with everyone, you are one awesome hostess with the mostest! I can't remember the last time I was spoiled like that...oh wait, yea I do! it was in January! ;) Thank you for welcoming us into your home and taking such great care of us!

Dawn - I had such a blast staying up late and waking up early with you. :rotfl2: It was so much monkey fun to spend the weekend with you! :yay: Thank you for taking such great care of me and keeping a smile on my face all weekend.

Michelle - It was nice getting to know you better. I'm really glad you were able to help me with that Main Street quest before I ripped up the map and set Main Street on fire. :rotfl2:

Linda - Biggest of hugs ever! You were cracking me up Friday night. I'm so happy we got to spend some time together, even though I feel like I barely got to see you at all. You're husband is a great man, and funny too, you got a good one. :thumbsup2 You have an awesome daughter too. She is so much fun and so pretty. I love your family.

Mary Jo - It was super fun seeing you! I'm glad you stayed until 1:30 am so I could spend time with you. It was fun sharing stories and drinking. :woohoo: I loved your teams outfits, you all have true diva style. :thumbsup2

Stacie - You crack me up. You are full of many fun stories and good times. Thank you for always making me feel included in everything. :flower3: I can't wait to party it up in Vegas with you!

Amy - You crack me up too! You are so full of life and happiness. :goodvibes Although, thanks to you, I had that Hannah Montana song stuck in my head all weekend. :rotfl: Thank you so much for my monkey notepad! :flower3:

Katie - It was nice seeing you again and getting to talk to you, I never got the chance to talk to you last October. Your baby sure is a cutie. :cutie: Her little outfit was so adorable. I'm glad you were able to join us for a few hours. :goodvibes

Melody - Auntie Mel! I wish we had more time to spend together! I'm happy that we got to talk briefly on Saturday and meet your daughter and that I got to see you on Sunday too. Your little grandsons are adorable!

Jane - I'm happy I got to see you at Lilo and Stitch! Of course I didn't really get to talk to you much, but it was nice seeing you. You're little one is adorable and so full of energy. It was adorable when he started washing the windows! I hope you and your family had a great time!

I hope everyone that wasn't in Disneyland had a great weekend! :goodvibes

That sounds like a plan!! :thumbsup2
Anywhere tropical would be fine with me!

Costco can certainly add up. Everything can...I should not be allowed out of the house!

Oh man. That sucks. I hate it when stuff like that happens all at once. :sad2:

I say you go treat yourself not only to some Mexican food, but the margarita to go along with it. ;)

:goodvibes I bet that's so true. I know when the kids were home all day just for Spring Break and then went back to school, the house was so quiet and it just felt weird.

Debra, my sister, sorry I never text you back on Dawn's phone on Saturday. I can't type on a key pad, I need my qwerty keyboard! I was half way through sending you a new text and I was like, nuh uh no more I give up. :rotfl2:

So I've been wanting to ask about this..and with all this kid talk maybe now is a good time. Do any of you have a hard time leaving your kids? I have never been away from Ayden for more than just a night at a time. I went to San Francisco once overnight with some friends and he stayed with my sister. When he used to do overnights with his dad, they were never consecutive overnights. I'm just already feeling sick to my stomach about it.
I doubt he'll be staying overnight with his dad while I'm gone, he doesn't even have a place for him to sleep, and who knows the guy could be homeless again by then. More than likely he'd have some sleepovers with my parents and then stay here with Chris for the weekdays for school. I'm just nervous.....and I have sooooooooooo long to prepare for it lol

:lmao: I'm ready for that now sometimes especially now having DBF kids here. Just tell me when and I'll have my bags packed! I really thought I was through with that but the GOOD thing is that they are his kids and I just let him handle all of the not so fun stuff and I am like a nice Aunt! It's the taxi service when I am trying to work that gets to me.

Let me know and I'll have my bag packed and you can swing by and pick me up!

I was wondering what happened to you!

I am not ever gone for long than a few nights. I have never had a real problem, they know how to use the phone, lets just say sometimes I just let it go to voice mail. Jordan can all a billion times in one day. But then when I am home, he has nothing really to say to me. kids....

From the time my guys were very little, we've gone away for weekends without them. They've stayed with grandparents or friends, but we've worked hard to spend time alone together. Partly for me, as I just NEED to get away sometimes, and partly because I've thought it will do them good to know that they can rely on others and themselves (ie., each other) and be comfortable even if mommy and daddy aren't there. Other than one time with Miss Zoe, they are typically mad that we're back so early. :lmao:
I'm sure your guy will be just fine, and will enjoy the time alone with whomever he's staying with. It will probably be much harder on you than your DS.

Oh how I neeeeeed that time, I just don't get it. Honestly....I just don't trust anyone. Ayden has never had a babysitter, besides my mom or my sister. My sister lives in Washington now so that doesn't work. Chris and I need some alone time but it just never happens either. Ayden is with his dad 3 days a week from 12-7pm. I get off of work at 4, and Chris gets home at 7 so my time alone is getting dinner done.

Hi! I'm active duty USAF and have had to go away often (and will have to go away in the future as well). I'm used to it (not saying I like leaving them for work) and they are desensitized to me leaving :sad2:. I talk to them daily even when I'm on this Disney trip.

I hope you all had a good day. I'm exhausted. I've been up since 2 am. I have yet another cold but with pink eye (thanks to all of my kids who had it this past week).

I probably won't be on later tonight, hoping that I'll be asleep. I hope you all have a nice evening. Talk to you all later.

I absolutely admire you for being able to do that. I am always a nervous wreck when he's with his dad until he comes home. I guess if you guys knew his dad you'd know why. LOL Absolutely not the man I married.

I know this isn't Disneyland related, but I had mentioned my photography before and my stress about an upcoming photo shoot Sunday night. Well I have the results and thought I'd post a sample. No bugs flew up my nose like I had feared. I overdosed on bug spray!

I had to photoshop some of the neighbor's lights out but I'm overjoyed with how they turned out. Bless my friend Monica for helping me out! We'll see how they print!
