Mmmm, Italian food. We need more of a food report than that! Maybe tomorrow, after you're all fresh and rested, you can give us the details of food, drink and conversation.

I brought my camera and didn't take any pics. Told y'all I do that. Anyway, I found this pic online of where we ate; Brio Tuscan Grille. It's a small picture, but it gives you some idea. It's a nice place, all fancy like with real white tablecloths any everything. LOL
We ate outside since once the sun went down it was really lovely out. (I just copied and pasted the pic, so hopefully it works)

Jane and I ordered the same dish.
PASTA ALLA PESTO
Wood-grilled chicken, fresh Mozzarella,
sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts.
Really good!


Amy ordered the salmon.
WOOD-GRILLED SALMON
With Romano crusted tomatoes, citrus pesto,
asparagus and crispy shoestring potatoes.
(She's so good and healthy when she goes out to eat!!)

We all shared the warm bread, and Jane ordered a drink. It was a:
BOCCE BALL
This traditional Italian cocktail blends DiSaronno Amaretto and freshly
squeezed orange juice.

We chatted about this trip, about Vegas in June, about jobs, and marriage and ways to keep it spicy. It was a nice evening.

Actually there is a glimmer of hope.

We love glimmers of hope!! I knew you'd fine a way to make it there.

I slit it up the back, and duct taped it. Yes he wore it for a few minutes in the park, but that was it.

Sometimes the redneck in me comes out.

No fair! Who will be a bitter babe with me???

No one. So you'd better just come and be a delightful Diva instead of a bitter babe.

I'm working on getting the kiddos ready for school, just wanted to stop in and say hello. Vicki, I got your PM with the pic and will add it in a sec.
I also really need to change the thread title. It's confusing everyone because they are trying to figure out how to add their pic, which is after all what it says. FYI, no one can edit someone else's post, unless you are a mod, which is why no one can add a pic, BUT if you post it or PM it to me, I will add it. Hint, hint, new ladies.

94?? It's supposed to be 104 here today, and 102 tomorrow!! I had to turn on the AC this weekend, first time this year. I know Callie turned hers on a few weeks ago, then we got that cold spell through here. Such weird weather, 65 one week and 104 the next!!

I can't believe the weather either. Oh, and I've had my AC on for a few weeks now also. I can't stand to be hot. Have I mentioned that before? I'm miserable when I'm hot. Don't look at me. Don't touch me.

We need someone to look into the breakdown of the Grand Californian Villa rental.
1. Is it avaliable for anyone to rent or is a DVC membership required?
2. It sleeps 12, How many actual beds?
3. What's the breakdown cost per bed/room?
4. Can we rent some points on the disboard DVC thread?
5. Is this really even doable.

Is there anyway to Pay for a tour of the Lillybelle, *without* going on the VIP tour?

Thanks Beth - I thought it was just me being computer image challenged!

It's supposed to be 97 here again today but it's cooling down for the weekend! I am glad because I plan on spending the weekend at the Festival of Books at UCLA. Yep I'm a book nerd! Can't wait!

I think what Jen so graciously did was to find out info on if we could get a group rate at the Grand California for like a block of rooms reserved for us. And also if they had a meeting place. The information revealed a meeting had to feature food from the GC and *I think* it was a general agreement it was simply better to use the HoJo's room.
