Cheryl, I feel your pain. Not long after my Dh and I adopted our first dog we stupidly gave him left over broccoli casserole. What a night that was

Oh I am so worried to hear about Dawn! I am gonna be saying some extra prayers for her! I just got her a get well card today to mail to her, but if she's in the hospital, she won't get to see it until she gets home. Can I mail her a card to her hospital room?

I was going to send Dawn a card, and it looks like the address emailed to me is not correct. If anyone wants more info, pm me. The address given was to a teen resource center, and the medical center was located at an address starting with 1625, can anyone confirm what I'm seeing?

I was looking because some hospitals allow you to send messages through their website to patients and even gifts from the gift shop sometimes.

Oh, and Trudie, we're not going to send her anything until she feels well enough for it. Cookies are not a good choice right now, you are correct.

Poor Dawn!! Wow - she is really sick.
If we decide to do a group gift I am definitely interested!

As far as the t-shirts. I am fine with purple or black. However, I'm with Beth on the NO crew neck. I did end up getting one for last year's shirt but it drove me crazy all day - my dd now wears it as a sleepshirt!

I think we should all find the t-shirt that fits us the best. Who cares if they are not all the same shade of purple, right??

Still haven't bought my ticket yet - need to do that soon.
Callie - have you bought yours yet??? Anyone else getting into SNA on Thursday about 1pm?
Also - is anyone leaving from SNA on Sunday evening?

Hi Divas:

I received another email from Bob, Dawn's husband. He indicated today was not a good day--she fell getting out of bed and they have moved her to ICU to keep more of an eye on her. On the other hand, he says the doctors indicate her life is not in danger at this time. They are both quarantined--he is only allowed to be at the hospital or at home and cannot have contact with anyone. He also has to "gown up" to go in her hospital room. They are also watching him for swine flu symptoms and he is not allowed to go to his office or anywhere other than hospital/home until next week. He also indicated she might be in the hospital for up to a month.

He did say that he was able to read emails and messages to her and that she is enjoying them.

He is also adamant that anyone who has not gotten the regular flu shot should get one. I tried to get one tonight but Walgreens is not giving them anymore. He said the doctors told him that people who regularly get the flu shot have a better chance of withstanding these flu's because it is mutating and they have some immunity from the past shots. I am calling my doctor tomorrow!

I'll let you all know as soon as I know anything new. Hoping for better news tomorrow.

Thanks for the update Cheryl. That will help me sleep better. My hormones have me all upset.

I'm going to call around again tomorrow for flu shots. Our hospital has been out for weeks...even for patients. My OB is out, my ped is out, and our drugstores aren't giving them anymore either. I might just be out of luck without going out of town.

I probably misunderstood. I just kept thinking that any kind of food was bound to make a person feel worse. LOL
