It's going to be a weird week here. The kids go to school for two days, then off on Wed, then go for two more days, then the weekend. I just know it's going to mess me up on my days.

Mon/Tues is early release for PTC, so Kaeleb is out at 12 and Jordan at 11:20
Off Wed for Veterns Day.
Thurs/Fri are reg school days.

I did not realize you had H1N1 - how long did it last and what were your symptoms? Did you get tamiflu for it? I am wondering if this neck pain (and back) is not just a localized thing. Otherwise, though, I feel fine.

Capri sorry you got sick. We played the stupid Wii for hours on Saturday and I ended up with a stupid migraine from all the repetitive motion with my one arm !

Oh, Kelly, we Wii owners did wrong by you! I'm sorry we didn't warn you about this. I had also had Wii-itus when I first got it. Mostly it was from the tennis. Ice!

Donna, I think I know what you mean. My neck always feels wrong, and sometimes I think I strained too hard at the gym one or two times. Who knows? I seem to take alot of IBs to help it out. Especially at night when I go to bed. Of course when I am at DL, I love me some rides, and I have to be really careful. Phooey!!

Thanks, Mel. I feel better hearing that, that maybe it isn't the precursor to some flu. The way I saw you go with your daughter at TOT, you were fearless on the rides!!!! I was quite impressed.

The holidays can be rough. I have such a love/hate relationship with Christmas. I alternate from wanting to go to bed and wake up again in January, and then over the weekend I was tempted to start putting up my decorations and trees!! It's a roller coaster, I tell ya. I love Christmas and what it's supposed to stand for, I just hate the $$$$, stress, and other crap that comes along with it.
But Christmas cards I can handle.

All 4 of my kids have Wednesday off. At least it is all of them so we don't have to get out of the house early in the morning for just one.
Also, my older two kids get out at 11:30am on M/T/TH/F because of Parent Teacher Conferences. But better the older two than the younger two!

Jesse has a two day school week this week He goes to school Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday is Remembrance Day (same as Veteran's Day for you), Thursday the school is closed, and Friday is a Pro-D day...... Crap, this is probably MY busiest work week of the year too

Wow, looks like it's a mixed up or shortened week for a lot of us here. Adam is thrilled this week because Modern Warfare 2 comes out and that's all he's been talking about. And Noelle is still counting down to New Moon next week. lol


Jen, I wish I could make things less expensive. The older kids get, the harder shopping is. Everything they ask for is so pricey. I hate it. I want the old days back when I could do all their shopping at Toys'R'Us because all they wanted were baby dolls and Hot Wheels. I miss that.


Cheryl, welcome back!! You were missed. I'm sorry your trip wasn't a good one.

Thank you everyone for the get well wishes.

Last night my fever broke, but when I woke up this morning it was back at 100. Right now it's 100 again and I haven't taken any medicine. My chest is very congested and I'm coughing. My nose is running. I should have called the doctor this morning, but I was too busy sleeping. I think I'm going to call my doctor right now and ask if they even want to see me. I was reading online some doctors don't even want to see their patients because they just get more people sick in the waiting room. You have to specific symptoms.

Tracey, I'm glad you're feeling better. Were your symptoms the same as mine? Did you go to the doctor?

ETA: I called the doctor right now and gave her my symptoms and the medical assistant said "yes, sounds like the flu, we need to see you today." My appointment is at 3:15. I'll update you girls when I get home.

So he'll get the game tomorrow, but he can't play it until Thursday (yes, I am that mean ).

Our doctor doesn't even have magazines or toys for the kids right now to try and help prevent spread of the flu as it is so prevalent right now..... Scary stuff. The good thing is it's not any worse than a normal flu in most cases, just lots of people getting it.

That sounds like Adam. He's only watched the trailer for it on youtube like a 100 times. And we pre-ordered it weeks ago. He wanted to go to the midnight release party at Game Stop but it's on a school night so I put my foot down and said no way.

So how nuts do you think Jesse will make you begging to play the game???

Hey are Jesse and Jordan related??? Except you are way nicer than I am. He is grounded from all game systems and anything that is remotely fun until his grades improve. If it doesn't get any better I am holding him back in 8th grade. Sadly I can't let him start high school with crap grades.

Ugh..the flu stinks!! I am tired of being sick. My body aches are gone. I just had sinus pressure and this cough. I hope you feel better soon.


Christmas....its a love hate relationship for me. With DBF...its a hassle because I swear he likes to show up his brother & sister in the present department. He makes tons more than they do and its so annoying shopping with him. Its sad...I am like its Christmas not a contest on who can spend the most money.
For the boys Kaeleb is easy. He is getting a skateboard, Band Hero for his DS, and I am upgrading his DS for a DSI. and a game or two for the Wii.
Jordan he is getting the trip to DC that is if he survives until April...

For Kaelebs stocking it will be easy. He wants pistachios (sp), movie gc, a wallet, tech decks, and easy stuff.

I love Christmas. I usually buy everyone a gift and that runs me around $500. This year I can't do that since I don't have a seasonal job. I try to get meaningful gifts and avoid gift cards. It's harder with my cousins though because all the really do want is money lol.

Well i'm back from the doctor again. we went in at 9:15 and they took me right in, we didn't get out til 2:45. I had two breathing treatments.. an antibiotic shot that starts with r.. and a steriod shot and they took chest x rays.. then gave me 4 prescriptions.. one zpack of antibiotics..a prescription for liquid codeine for the pain.. another for cough syrup and one for a decongestant. Luckily Bob was able to stay with me.

((hugs)) and get well vibes to all who are sick and I hope EVERYONE is better soon! This is a terrible time of year to be sick with all the holidays coming up!

Cheryl I am so sorry you were sick and things didn't go well on your trip. That just stinks!

For all of us that have kids off school on wed hopefully you have something fun planned. As I mentioned before mom and I are going to take the girls shopping and out to lunch so I am looking forward to that! I am hoping to find some things for my stocking and possibly more christmas stuff.

Hope all the sick ones manage to have a good rest of the day and same to everyone else! I am off to pick the girls up from school here in a minute and then just relax at home. Looking forward to that!
