Steph- I agree with others that you look great without make-up & I would just got with basic mascara and a light lipstick IF you want to wear anything at all. Dawn gave you some great clothing tips .

I took an unscheduled trip to Disneyland yesterday, because I just really needed to get away & that was the cheapest option . I'm really tired now (spent 12 hours at the parks), but it was SO worth it. I didn't think of all the stress and problems of my life AT ALL!!!

Me too!!! I LOVE that dark smokey eye look and have watched several how to videos on it, but whenever I try it, I feel like a raccoon.

Nothing like that to put some spice in your married life!!! Believe me it works!!!

It's Monday morning so normally I would be in a grumpy mood (heck, any morning ) but seeing as I only have three classes left for today, one class where I'm taking an exam on Friday, and I have my coffee it's a pretty good morning. It's furlough week so the campus is closed Tuesday through Thursday. I'm going to have a LOT of time to do homework and study.

I get to see my family this Friday, next Monday, Tuesday and then I go home again Fri - Sunday for Halloween weekend. I don't know how it will be though, going home to a house without a puppy

I think I'll need to go to the pet store for a puppy fix.

Steph - My mom has always told me that I didn't need make up and I've never been one to think I did so I'm pretty clueless with that. The only thing I know is eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss. As for dressing nice, I can sort of relate. I have always dressed casual: jeans, t-shirts and sneakers. Now that I'm in college I want to dress more "grown up" but it's wierd for me since I'm totally not used to it. What my mom does to get ideas for outfits is look online.

It's been so long since I've been on here. I'm still planning on going next weekend! Life has been crazy. I was homeless for a stretch. It's a long story but now I'm settled into a little beach apartment on the water in Carpinteria and I love it. Derek is great. He will be with me next weekend. (Cheryl I got your PM, that's fine we'll manage) I hope everyone is doing well. I miss everyone so badly! I'm going to read a little bit and post again later.

I hope you are all doing well. I went to the park yesterday afternoon (man was it packed!). I just walked around and took some pics of the pumpkins around the park and also decided to do some shopping with the birthday fun card (gift card) I had received a few months ago.

I was shopping in DL and browsing and later spotted this shoulder bag in World of Disney in DTD:

I thought it was kinda cute and I rarely see Alice items.

So do any of you ladies have an e-reader? Either a Kindle or a Sony? I'm looking into the Sony ones. I go through books like crazy lately and I think it would be worth it and neat to have. And cheaper than buy buying books, even though I love going to the book store.

Please pray for my grandpa!
He's heading into surgery at 6pm. They are putting in the pacemaker after all.
The doctor said the surgery isn't as severe as the last one because they will be attaching the pacemaker adjacent to the heart but not actually in it. But surgery is surgery so we're all still a bit worried. I have faith that everything will go successfully but extra prayers never hurt!

My grandpa just came out of surgery and the doctor says he's doing great. They didn't put him fully under but did a "Twilight" so he comes in and out of consciousness. They say he should be fully coherent in 15-20 minutes. I'm so relieved and ever so blessed. I want to visit him soon but I just don't know when would be a good time.

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday Divas!

Praise God Cristabel that your grandfather is well! And continued prayers that he has continued healing!!

Not much on the plate for me today except some laundry and chores round here. I do have my uro apt today although I didn't get a confirmation call so I am a bit concerned.

When I called to make the apt I told the gal on the phone that I wasn't sure if that time would work cuz I would have to get a babysitter so to make it and I would call back IF that time DIDN'T WORK but it ended up being ok so I never called back. But I hope she didn't misunderstand me and think cuz I didn't call back that it DIDN'T work and she never made it! I REALLY need this apt not only cuz I haven't had a follow up since Aug but my meds run out this month and my regular doc won't refill them.

Anyway hopefully it is not a problem and I can get it all resolved. Also I got an e-mail from desert inn saying they were looking forward to seeing us on Thurs and I was like WHAT! I cancelled that reservation a month ago when I changed it to DLH. So I called THEM and they said it was an automated thing. Luckily I kept my cancellation number. SHEESH!

My mom has to go to Truckee tomorrow and wanted me to go with her but Shane has to go help my uncle with his garbage disposal and the girls have church tomorrow night so I don't know if that is going to work. Everything has to get nuts right before we leave LOL.

Is it thursday yet?
