Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian Divas and their families!

disney+

I love that picture ! Wouldn't it make a great Thanksgiving card?

Yes it would Trudi.:thumbsup2
Angie and Theresa - did you make a big feast?

Jane, sorry about your day! But loved the way it ended.

Beth and Dawn, are you two feeling back to normal? Don't overdo (as my mom used to say) :)

Congrats on the award Stacie. No matter what, it's yours.

Tracey, if you had crowds, I'm sure it's only going to get worse. Glad you had fun though.

WendyLouWho, I must witness this Monkey Bride you speak of. Go with me on the ride and show me!

I also know how to find the Monkey Bride and I would be happy to show you and everyone else who hasn't experienced the joy of meeting her for the first time yet.

Thanks to everyone for the hugs and warm thoughts. Tomorrow has to be better than today, but if you can keep one of my employees in your thoughts that would be great. Her dad (who she lives with) is having open heart surgery tomorrow. She is taking the day off to be with him and her stepmom at the hospital and I know it's going to be a long, rough day for everyone.

I've been thinking about all of you that have been feeling sick lately, hope you get well soon.
A 20ish girl died here this morning from some kind of flu, She had a 1 yr old daughter. I never met her but she was friends with my brother and a few of my co-workers. Definitely too close to home:sad2:

But on a happier note we got the last piece of Dave's Halloween costume in the mail today and it was so much fun to see the look of excitement on Ty's face when he realized that daddy was dressed up like Pete the cat. He immediately ran into his room to get his Mickey Mouse costume and danced around the living room singing the Hot Dog song (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for all of you who don't live, breathe, eat and sleep Playhouse Disney like I do). That 5 minutes almost made up for the rest of today and it's suckiness :lovestruc :wizard:

Awwww---I hope today is better!

Kelly, love the pic of your girls in the pumpkin patch.

I rode with Wendy last year and still didn't see the MB. I'm with Stacerita in my "doubting" stance.

Prayers to her family.

And to Stacerita--WAY TO GO girlfriend!!!!!!:wizard:

Even with us telling you to put your clothes on, you keep it up huh?
She does! Remember her trip report picture. She had nothing on!!! :rolleyes1

;)

I was honored today at work with a service award. Yeah for me. But still not sure whats around the corner you know.
Congratulations on your award. And I know what you mean, but really none of us ever know what's around the corner. All we can do is trust it will all work out. :)

I really want to just crawl into bed and pretend today didn't happen.:headache::headache::headache:

Sorry about your bad day Jane. Sounds like it ended on a real high note though. Kids. They can sometimes be the cause of our bad day, and then sometimes be the only thing that can make it better.

Sending good thoughts to your employee for her dad's surgery. :wizard:

Beth and Dawn, are you two feeling back to normal? Don't overdo (as my mom used to say) :)
I'm feeling pretty good, thanks. I don't know what it was. It was just those two days where I felt like I had no energy at all. Just wiped out. Maybe just over tired, who knows.

My Mom cooked a huge dinner for us, which was delicious!

We leave in 5 days, I'll be looking for LGMH:woohoo:
Aww, gotta love a big dinner cooked by mom. :goodvibes And YAY for leaving in 5 days. :yay:

A 20ish girl died here this morning from some kind of flu, She had a 1 yr old daughter.
That is scary. 20-something years old?? You'd think she'd be healthy enough to fight it off. I mean, I thought it was only kids and the elderly who were at high risk. I am so sick of this flu stuff. It's scary.

Morning my diva friends!

Jane I am so sorry you had such a crummy day yesterday! I am glad that it ended well though! That sounds so cute! Can't wait to see the costumes! And you of course! ;)

Congrats Stacerita on the award and I am sure God has a plan for you and you obviously are a very valued employee and I am positive it will all turn out good in the end!!

Beth glad you are feeling better and you have been a baking fool. Those pics on FB well all I can say is DROOL! YUM! ;)

Wendy I DO believe in the Monkey Bride! I have yet to see her but there is a guy on the trip report board that has a pic!! You guys should check it out! Actual photo evidence! :)

Thank you Linda for the compliment on the girls photo! They had so much fun!

We had a wild morning this morning. The big storm hit and I decided to change all the sheets, both ours and the girls, to flannel and when I do I wash the pillows and everything and of course wouldn't you know RIGHT in the middle of all that the power went out. So then I took the girls to school and Lynn to work and had to run to target to get Shane a new pillow also because while I was washing his it blew up literally. Stuffing everywhere! I think it got snagged on a piece of metal on the porch. It was like a monsoon out there. I got soaked. The only good news is when I got home the power was back on so I could finish the laundry!! :) I also had to get both girls new rain boots because Shelby's were too small and Katy's had big splits in them. I was really bummed too cuz mom bought them for her last year from Lands End and they weren't cheap. Supposed to be good quality but they got big splits on the side and so they were worthless cuz the water could just go right in. So I couldn't even find boots in their size cuz all they have is little kids sizes or adult sizes so I got them some zip up winter type boots. They are kind of like for snow but not too bulky. They are made of nylon and rubber so I think they will work better than the pure rubber boots. I have found if they wear their tennis shoes or whatever they RUIN them!

Katy wore a pair of suede vans to Disney world and they were completely ruined and we had to buy her a pair of disney crocs because that was the only pair of shoes we had brought. So I learned THAT lesson LOL!

Anyway so now I am home trying to get through all my laundry and hoping the power doesn't go out again! It is NASTY outside but I kind of like this weather as long as I don't have to go out in it! ;)

Hope everyone has a better day today and we are getting closer! :)

Good morning..er, afternoon.
It's a cloudy, windy day here in Fullerton. I was hoping for more rain but it stopped early this morning.

I'm in a mood to bake now.

So my roommates friend brought her tv to our apt and now we don't know what to do with it :rotfl:He also brought her dvd player but it doesn't really work. I'm hoping that we still have our extra dvd player at my house and my parents can bring it over next week. Cable is pricey so I don't think we'll be getting it unless they have special pricing for students.

I better get started on homework.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

P.S. - The monkey bride is real, deal with it. :p

I's GoT NuThIn' BuT LoVe FoR ThE MoNkeY BrIde!
:lovestrucMaD Odd GiRL LoVe!:rotfl:

Dark clouds and wind all day here in Palmdale. No rain but I'm hopeful. There's nothing like a good rainstorm with lots of thunder and lightning.
It puts me in a baking mood too.
Kelsey, I will definitely be making a cake in the skull pan as my next baking project !

Not sure if any of you have been watching the new Disney Parks blog, but wanted to point something out to the ladies who were on the VIP tour last year. The conductor who rode the Lilly Belle with us is in the Disneyland Tips video here: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2009/10/tips-for-your-next-disneyland-resort-trip/

He's about 3:50 into the video. His tip is about the coffee on main street. He was awesome & seeing him in the video totally made my day!!!
I wasn't on the tour, but that's very neat. And I wanted to say, good to see you here!!

There's nothing like a good rainstorm with lots of thunder and lightning.
Amen! ::yes::

Cristabel, I saw that trailer on Callie's FB page. I showed it to the kids and we cannot wait to see it.

Sarah, hi, good to see you!

Kelly, I hope you're not getting washed away there. Glad your power wasn't out long.

Seriously, today was a disaster. Beyond the whole Ty separation anxiety thing this morning my best friend at work told me today that she took another job and is leaving, someone stole my lunch (Olive Garden half eaten leftovers--seriously whomever took them must have been pretty hard up to risk the germ factor), I inadverently & unknowingly pissed off a colleague late last week and my apology today seemed to only make her madder, and the people I supervise all were in bad moods today too. I really want to just crawl into bed and pretend today didn't happen.:headache::headache::headache:

Sorry you had such a cruddy day. In reading that, the thing that bothered me the most was that someone ate your leftovers. That would have sent me over the edge postal style. Just saying.

Glad the costumes are coming together. Can't wait to see you guys.

WendyLouWho, I must witness this Monkey Bride you speak of. Go with me on the ride and show me!

Linda.....the so called Monkey bride is a scam I tell you.

She only shows herself to the cool kids, so we'll have to see how that goes for you :rotfl: Congrats on the award, BTW :thumbsup2

Thanks. But we all know who the cool kids are. Not the ones seeing things.

I rode with Wendy last year and still didn't see the MB. I'm with Stacerita in my "doubting" stance.

See, another Diva who has not seen the so called Monkey Bride.

Thanks!

She does! Remember her trip report picture. She had nothing on!!! :rolleyes1

;)

We all know Wendall. ;)

And the great monkey debate continues....... popcorn::

What debate....doesn't exist. popcorn::

P.S. - The monkey bride is real, deal with it. :p

Ummmmm, no!

Here's the newest Toy Story 3 Trailer
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/video/video.php?v=710736181881&ref=nf

it looks hilarious!

I can't wait to see it.

Yeah, it's kinda like snipe hunting, right?

And Kelly--that picture was probably Photoshopped.
