Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

So, in true blonde wannabe/pregnant brain mode, I showed up for a doctor's appointment today when it's scheduled for next Monday! :rotfl: I was worried about my weight after my weekend, but now I have a whole week to get back to normal before stepping on the scale. :thumbsup2

I'm soo tired, and my hip is killing me. DH last night denied my moaning while sleeping, but then told me this morning that I did it bad last night. I was also in a lot of pain last night, so I'm standing by my story that that is what the moaning is about. :thumbsup2 Don't let my roomies tell you all anything different.

I love all the pics. The pic I'm waiting to see is one that Beth has. Katie and I were having a moment with the Snow White that smiles like she's constipated. You'll just have to see it! :rolleyes1

One of my best memories from the trip is the hysterical laughter coming from the secret bathroom while my SH team and I were getting ready. We could have fun anywhere, and that's all I'm saying about that! :rotfl:

Thanks so much to the SH designers. It wonderful, and I think that next year, we should all contribute to it. I'm sure the cost of the planning, materials, and prizes adds up. It was a wonderful hunt, and very fun!

The M&G was a blast also! I loved Jane's ice breaker game, and found out even more things about my friends. Luckily, even though we are a shady group, Cheryl did not have to help a single one of us out of jail the whole weekend...that I know of! ;)

I am at work today and haven't cried yet, how is that for maturity?

My outfit isn't disney themed either, which is a bummer.

I just got a text from Cristobel, a photo of Baloo's butt!!! It's like I am still there!!

Okay...I know some of you will get why I find this so perfect and hysterically funny....Steph, Cheryl, Steph...Jane....Cristabel and Deb....

I just went into our surgery room for a moment for something...surgery is over, but the radio is still on. The music playing is the Spin Doctors.

Little miss, little miss, can't be wrong!!!!!! I was roaring!!!

Of course, I am afraid of Mr Lincoln and had a near limb losing accident on the carousel in FantasyLand!!!

Oh, one final thing. The bruises. Is it Stacielee who always comes home with mystery bruises? I have an interesting one on my left wrist, but the best one is the one on my Left buttock so perfectly shaped like Iowa that I was tempted to put a red star with a sharpie for the capital!!!!

I hope anyone else who is home already is okay...and not totally bummed, and I hope anyone still there is having enough fun for the rest of us.

Amynotasweepyasbeforeokrasue

I am SO tired! And my knees really hurt!! I've caught up on reading but will post more tomorrow. Yes Amy, I usually go home with a bruise, I think this time it's on my thigh above my right knee, thanks to the turnstile going into CA. Someone took a picture of Ryan's hiney today, did you get that one yet??

Heather does moan! We are still wondering what she was dreaming about... hopefully it wasn't Billy!! But she is run to watch TV with!!

I am so sad to be home and miss all of you! And I'm sad I didn't get to spend a lot of time with everyone!! Next year, let's just make it a month long trip, okay? Although I think we'd all weigh over 500 pounds if we ate like we did this time!

My shuttle was scheduled to pick me up at 1:20 today; at 1:10, I was in the Aladdin show!! I ran as well as an old lady with sore knees can run, and made it by 1:25. The shuttle driver called me right at 1:20 and I was almost at the corner of Harbor and Manchester!! I'm glad he waited, I tipped him some extra just for that!!

See you all tomorrow! I'm going to bed!!

Speaking of Lincoln and crying, while you were afraid of it, we watched it and my Mom cried! :rotfl2: We all cry a lot, don't we?

Not everyone cries. While in Lincoln, Cristabel got the giggles, AmySue got startled, and all I could think about was the back row and cupcakes.

I brought the Bacon Maple lollypops. I got mine at Das foods...on line. They were in honor of Dawn who sent Bacon/Maple suckers to people at many gift giving occassions. I think she got hers from Lollyphile--but I was too frugal or miserly as Stacie puts it to pay $2.00 per lollypop, so got the Das Food ones.

Das Foods had an alarming variety of Bacon themed items!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!

Amyweepyokrahsue!!!

I mean it in the best way possible.

Love it!

Happy Monday ladies!

I hope everyone is having a marvelous day, whether you're having fun in the parks with my mom (sooo jealous) or busy at work like me! I just wanted to say that I had a fabulous time this year and I can't believe that it went by so fast!! A special thanks to the ladies who organized everything; the meet and greet, the baby shower, the scavenger hunt, the dining adventures and, of course, the group photos amongst other things were outstanding. You all did a fantastic job!!!

I loved getting to know a lot of you better this year! I thought Tina's shirt from the meet and greet was hilarious and I am in awe of the wonderful job Felicia did on the pillow case! I can't believe she made it herself...I absolutely adore it. Thank you!! Kelly, I am so glad you liked your pillowcase! I had so much fun creating it and I hope you liked the wine! I would also like to thank Chris for letting us come up to her villa last night! I enjoyed laughing with the girls and hearing Stacie's stories; not to mention those cookies...yum, they were scrumptious! Oh, and the almond champagne was tasty too, Cheryl! Wendy, Daisy, and Tammi, I loved Saturday afternoon with you and hope you all had a blast...we'll have to study our tags better for the scavenger hunt next year! :) Capri, you had me in giggles all weekend and Steph was so sweet too! Jill, you were so much fun this weekend! Thank you, Trudi, for making my pirate princess shirt and jacket for me! I LOVE THEM! :thumbsup2 Everyone was just so wonderful, I could go on and on about how much I appreciated everyone being there but I know I'm already getting pretty long on here...

Have a great rest of the week and for those of you yet to come home, safe travels!
:grouphug:

Glad you enjoyed the stories. I can't wait to see your's on the blog.

The Carousel of Death.

Then you really need to come look at my a**!!!!!

Sweet....meet me in the back row of Mr. Lincoln

Can the one in the tie dye move a bit???

Awesome!

We're home! Well, we've been home for a couple hours and I agree with everyone the time flew by way too fast.

We (Mom and I) had a complete BLAST and I want to thank ALL of you for making us feel so welcome and cozy and like we've known each other for years. You are such wonderful women and I am honored to be a part of all of this.

It was so great to finally meet you, and I can't say enough about your mom.

Courtney---I forgot I cried on you too!!! How could I have? We were set up...

I was the weepiest one most of the trip, started Saturday and hasn't stopped. I bawled in my car while driving down the highway when I discovered I'd closed my fabric from Dawn that I'd hooked to my belt loop in the car door. (boy that was a run-on sentence--sorry Mr. Walker, my H.S. composition teacher!!).

I hope Steph gets her Magicale tonight!!!!

Please someone let us know about the fun in the Villa tonight....how nice of Chris to invite everyone. Working tomorrow. Ick.

I know....work is so bad they have to pay you to do it....just keep swimming just keep swimming.......

Miss you girl! And please sign all of your posts with this name.

Okra - Calcutta misses you!!!

Calcutta this year, Bangaladesh next.

So there was just way too many people at the park yesterday, I didnt see any divas yesterday.

It was super busy yesterday and I hardly saw any Divas either. And with all the tie dye, you couldn't have missed us.

I am back home from a four fun filled Disney Diva Days!! When you read Stacie's trip report which will be filled with hysteria and reports of my almost fatal accident on Fantasy Land's carousel due to my slippery pants, and my being scared of Mr Lincoln, and sleeping in Calcutta, crying on... well, Melody, Cheryl, Stacie, Steph, Jane, Callie, ...did I leave anyone out?...it might seem that I didn't have fun...but I had a hoot, a blast and dang it...a bit of a WHIZ BANG!!!!

So, I want to thank anyone and everyone . Thanks Beth for keeping up on the whole overseeing the organization and starting the idea in the first place, thank you for the M&G team (how fun was that?----and why did everyone think that I would beat up a girl scout?), the Scavy team...my gosh you worked hard (though I curse you a teeny, Cheryl my friend for making me feel a wee stupid...but love you dearly anyway), thanks for all who organize reservations and think of photo ops and showers and of er grocery deliveries or hand holding or whatever is needed. And...for those who show up...thanks for that as well.

A special thanks to my roommates this years. Seriously ladies. I could, and am getting teary right here at my computer...it was wonderful. How could it work as well as it did? You are great...thank you for sharing your lives for the four days and your space with me!! Oh, and HAPPY b-day Deb!!!!!!!

So...seriously, next year...c'mon Jane..you were already our honorary roommate this year, and Cheryl, Wendy, Katie? Roommate wannabes? I am sure we could become a more crowded and poorer city, leave Calcutta behind? Bangladesh perhaps?

Anyway...love and light and joy to you all!!

Ride Winnie the Pooh for me tomorrow...Do it for Okra!!!
AmyWeepyOkraSue

Oh. and thanks all for keeping our thread on the first page in our absence you guys are the bomb!!!!!!!

Awww girl, you are gonna make me weepy too. And that's not me. So glad we met and roomed together that first year. I can't wait to write my trip report and get all of our fun times out. Miss you.

Just wanted to say I had another great time with the Diavs.

Calcutta was great! Couldn't have had better roomies. They all bathed so it was all good. lol. Calcutta rocks, but next year we head to Bangaladesh.

Amy Sue- you're my girl. Can't believe the great times we have together. Even when you almost were killed on that horse. Who would have thought that would be funny.

Steph - you are my hero. And you better never leave Josh because he will be lost without you. Seriously.

Deb - take care of the sea monkey.

Cristabel - Take it easy in Mr Lincoln. I know he can arouse a crowd with a good speech, but really?

Beth - thank you for keeping us on track. We wouldn't be friends without you.

Jane - welcome to the dark side, and yes, we have cookies. Pack your bags for Bangaladesh.

Courtney and Felicia - I totally adore you guys. Your mom is great. Tell her yes, my eyes are real, and they are fabulous.

Tina and Donna - yeah, I know your mom wants me. lol

Chris - thank you so much for opening up your villa. You can adopt me if you want.

Cheryl and Linda - wish I had more time with you. but time goes by so fast. But you two are a couple of my fave Divas. Oh, and you guys can adopt me too.

Wendy- get ready for Vegas girl!!!

I am bummed that I never have enough time to spend with everyone.

Ok, so I plan to do the trip report. But I won't be starting it for a few days. So everyone who has pics, please post them to the shutterfly account. That way I can use some of your's as well.

So, any plans for next year's trip?

Ok, I am chilling in my studio villa, completely exhausted from the last four days, but very happy.

Beth, Cristabel, Jane, Daisy, Sarah May, Steph, and my very special friend Shirely , I had such a good time with you divas today. After all the hustle, bustle and busy scheduled events, it was so nice to do the parks at our pace and enjoy each other's company.:goodvibes

I can't wait for more pics and the trip report, but more importantly, I can't wait to start planning for next years extravaganza!!!!!

And for the record, I did witness the Ryan bootie photo - I actually spotted him first. :thumbsup2

Will post more later, but for now, wow; what an awesome trip with a group of truly wonderful women.

:rotfl:

Speaking of Lincoln and crying, while you were afraid of it, we watched it and my Mom cried! :rotfl2: We all cry a lot, don't we?!

I was a mess much of the trip. I have gotten quite teary quite a few times since coming back reading this thread. It is a sad state of affairs, my emotions!!!
The Carousel of Death.

Much like the "Baggalini on death" I believe!!!

Sweet....meet me in the back row of Mr. Lincoln

You betcha, I will bring the cupcakes!!!!

Can the one in the tie dye move a bit???

Um....okay...how about the one with the sunglasses?

!

You don't find Amyweepychickenbonecalcuttaokrasue to be a bit cumbersome? I was considering using Amychickenbonecastratewitha bluntinstrumentplayerclosethedealcalcuttaokrasue instead. oh it is so hard to decide!!

Thank you....and Ditto. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that after you took some candid photos of me lying on the ground, you would be the first to rush to my assistance should I ever meet with a near fatal accident on an attraction at Disneyland.

Linda---I am bummed that I didn't get enough time with you again this year...maybe we can catch another MA sometime......but I can't wait for the Ryan bottom!!

I am at home with my four kitties...know you look forward for you reunion with Spike! (can anyone else here "Reunited" playing in the background?).

Talk to you all later gators.

Amy Sue, I had a wonderful time in Calcutta with you!
It was really weird not having you around yesterday evening and today. I hope your chicken bone boss doesn't do anything stupid.

Thank you Cristabel. It was kind of stinky not being there yesterday.

I hope my chickenbone boss doesn't do anything either, but I was the stupid one open my chickenbone-less mouth and saying anything about the fact he over scheduled himself making me do his appointments to 6:30 when I should have gotten off at 5:30..and I wasn't happy...and the clients were not happy and the whole thing was, well, not the happiest place on earth.

Lincoln was NOT giving an arousing speech.

I was not counting bullet holes in a sign.

There was not a Tigger tail in sight.

I was not in Calcutta.

It was one chicken bone thing after another.

Somehow Toto, I don't think I am in Kansas anymore.

One flying monkey after another.

Well, you get the picture.

Two more days until Thursday!!!

I'm back :sad2: Although I have gotten my Disney fill for the moment, I still want to spend time with my divas!

To all my fellow Calcuttians - Thank you for being awesome roomies and never leaving me behind. I loved our late night giggle fests and our early morning chats. It was so weird waking up alone this morning. (wait, that doesn't sound right :lmao:). We had some great times and I can't wait until next year.

Stacie - I hope you didn't get sick of me because I know I tend to be clingy to one or a few persons when I'm in a group. I told you, I'm a follower! Thanks for keeping things hot :rotfl:

Amy Sue - Thank you for your wit and for making my pirate shirt and cap. They are wonderful!

Steph - Thank you SO much for being our fast pass runner during the trip.

Deb - I'm so glad I was able to room with you this year and get to know you better. Take care of your peanut

Chris - Thank you so much for opening up your villa and being such an awesome hostess. I had a great time and I loved your fancy meats and cheeses.

Courtney - I'm bummed I didn't get to hang out with you :sad2: Next year you must stay in Bangladesh, yes? :thumbsup2

Sarah May - Thank you for letting us crash your New Orleans dinner  and I loved watching Captain EO with you.

Stacielee, Daisy, Kelly & Rosemarie - Thank you for joining me at Goofy's kitchen this morning.

I had so much fun during this trip and sadly I didn't take many pictures because my camera wasn't working but I'm sure stacerita took enough photos for everyone. Just wait for her trip report, oh and make sure you aren't drinking anything because it's sure to come out of your nose.

I have to go put my clothes in the dryer and get ready for school tomorrow.
I hope everyone still at the Land has a safe trip home.

Yes, fun times in Calcutta.

As far as keeping things hot....I try.

I do plan to make drinks shoot out people's noses, so be prepared.

I love all of the photos! I can see from the look on all of your faces that you all just having the time of your lives. I'm so sorry for my lack of communication and really wish that my mom and I were there with you all. It just makes me so happy to know that you all had (and are having) such a wonderful time. :goodvibes

Thanks Boo----a fine time was had by all.

The rain on Saturday tried to put a "damper" on the festivities, and a wee bit of infighting and emotions brought on by our loss of Dawn resulted in some tears, but other than that it was pretty much without a "bimp"!

And in the end it was ALL GOOD!!!!!

Nice of you to check in, glad to hear your life is going a direction that is good for you.

NIghty nighty sleepy tighty!!

AmyOkraSLeepySue

I'm home, unpacked and have my clothes in the washing machine. I'm super tired and missing my roomies. I had a super great weekend and after some sleep I'll be back to post more about it and upload my photos to shutterfly. Love ya girls! Nighty, night! :grouphug:

Well, it's back to the real world today, as I leave for work. Yuck!

I hope everyone has a good day traveling and settling back in.

Good morning ladies!:goodvibes

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like they've been through the ringer. :faint: Walk and walk, eat and eat, ride and ride, eat and eat, laugh and cry, eat and eat, talk and talk, eat and eat........and it starts over again the next day!

What a great time we had. :cool1:

I loved seeing all of our oldies again, and it was so nice to meet our newbies! I hope our newbies felt a big welcome!! :grouphug:

Cheryl and Wendy, thanks for being the best roomies!

Meet and Greeters, thankyou! Shower planners, thankyou! And all dinner arrangers, thankyou! :grouphug:

Now it is back to reality. Boo hoo!

Love,
Mel:hug:

Good Morning!

I had a great time on my first Diva trip and can't wait to join you all again! The Meet and Greet, Scavenger Hunt and Heather's shower were all fun, thanks to everyone involved in planning them.
