Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

Are you a night shower person or a morning shower person? I'm a morning shower person...otherwise my hair is just scary! :scared1: How about Daisy? Are we all going to be fighting for the shower in the morning? pirate: It takes you a while to wake up? Or does that Diet Pepsi cause those eyes to pop open with energy?

Congrats on finishing your class! I am sure you did great!

Thanks for the congrats.

I'm a morning shower person. Otherwise I feel icky all day. It doesn't really take me too long to wake up.....as long as I have some kind caffeine to toss back. Diet Pepsi is my preference, but in desperate times, I've been known to drink coffee, which is sometimes great because it has LOTS of caffeine in it compared to Diet Pepsi. :hyper:

Well I spent the day at the doctors with Matt my youngest. He has been having low right sided pain since yesterday on and off. They did a CT scan and he has fluid around his appendix and they can't say if it is early stage appendicitis. We go back to the surgeon tomorrow and see what the plan is. He is on a high dose of ibuprofen to see if that helps decrease the fluid. I have been a wreck and my whole family says I am going to disneyland but my gut is not sure what to do. I guess I will wait until tomorrows dr appt. Always some type of exctement in our household!

Oh no Patty! I hope it's nothing serious and the doctors can resolve it without surgery. Keeping Matt in my prayers.

I don't have morning sickness I have afternoon sickness. Well it's more like
an upset tummy.

Oh dear, I hope the afternoon sickness isn't too bad.

You constantly amaze me by getting straight As while still running a household!

Awwww, thanks Christabel.

I am totally freaking out because my check engine light came on while I was driving home tonight. I am not a car person and just expect it to run the way it's supposed to, so I totally feel over my head when anything goes wrong. Dave isn't much better with cars than I am, but he at least pretends. He wanted to wait and take it to the dealer tomorrow, but since I was practically in tears he agreed to take it back to Pep Boys where he got the oil changed yesterday morning. Please keep your fingers crossed that it's an easy fix in terms of time in the shop and that I'm not looking at too big of a repair bill!:eek::eek:

I hope it turns out to be nothing and all they have to do is reset the light. That's happened to us before several times. Try not to worry.

Capri, Way to go girl!:thumbsup2
Thank you Melody.

I have got to find out what that means......I'm sure there is an interesting story.

Oh boy, we could tell you a story alright! It'll have to wait until later though.....maybe at the meet and greet. :rolleyes1

Good to know! Yeah, the meet and greet...and wasn't that just "fun" in certain ways last year:scared1:.

Dave took my car back in and they ran diagnostics that indicated there was more air in the fuel cylinders than there should be. But, they didn't seem at all concerned and just reset the light. Basically if the light comes back on then we have a problem, but hopefully there is just some extra air in the fuel line that needs to work its way out tomorrow.

Well that's not bad...hopefully it all takes care of itself and you will be good to go!

Just a quick hello to everyone. Can't wait to be able to spend time with eveyrone and not just make it a quick hi.

Don't be nervous, since you've met a few already. I was that way the first year, and last year it was all good!!

And yes, like Cheryl says, LOTS of stories!!

Carol: I am really looking forward to meeting you too--Linda told me you were an extremely nice lady and fit right in!

And yes, we have stories . . . . .that will curl your hair. But don't worry--there are no last minute additions this trip!

After we've all had a little to drink, right??

Hello ladies.

Patty, I'm sorry about your son. I hope things are okay.

Jane, eek!! Hopefully we don't end up stranded in the desert.

I have no clue what else I was going to say. I'm tired. How old am I that I'm ready for bed before 9????

It's not really a matter of age, it's a matter of what you do during the day. Any mother of any age should be ready for bed by 9pm after dealing with kids, housework, dinner, homework, etc.

I'm ready for bed and there's no good reason. I woke up at 10:30am, skipped the gym, sat in class, sat in a chair to get my eyebrows done, sat during my weight watchers meeting and now I'm sitting (again!) about to get down to the nitty gritty of homework and studying for exams.

That's why you are tired...your body needs more activity to help wake it up! Hard to get somedays though.

Good night ladies! I had an early morning (thanks to a certain son) and now I'm barely keeping my eyes open!
Got lots of laundry to do tomorrow so I can pack!:thumbsup2

Hi ladies! Pre-trip anxiety kicked in at some point today just as I predicted. I'm having a hard time wrapping up my packing, and doing stuff like purchasing the dang parkhopper (5 day? still undecided), and booking my shuttle to the airport. I know I need to do it by tomorrow, for sure. I had to make up a daily calendar for my dh today so he knows what to do with the kids each day. I told him he could just chuck the schedule and let them watch movies and play wii for 4 days. . . He's too responsible for that.

Patty, I already posted on FB, but I'm praying for Matty and hope you get a quick and easily treated diagnosis in the morning.

Jane, good news on the van! I hate those stupid check-engine lights!

So, what are the evening temperatures looking like? Will I need a fleece coat and gloves?

I remember last year it was nice during the days but it was pretty darn chilly in the evenings. I plan on bringing my winter coat even though it is about 3 sizes too big and then AmySue is bringing my pirate hoodie. I should probably consider bringing my gloves...I think I have room in my purse next to the poncho and umbrella! I would much rather be warm than cold!

Good luck with the anxiety.
