I have never done the Monster's ride.

I've done the Monsters Ride just never seen the movie.
That ride is a pain in the butt to climb out of. Or maybe it's just my fat gut that makes it a challenge. lol

The only thing I thought of, and Cheryl and I talked about it when I was there a couple of weeks ago, was Captain EO. It's not on the DL schedule yet, is it?

Not that I've seen. We'll have to keep an eye and ear out for that. It might be a spur of the moment thing.

Today has been a long day.
We got our new washer & dryer today. We got the Kenmore Elites. They are pretty quiet, but holy cow, they take for ever for a load of laundry.

OH, I forgot to tell you all that we got ALTCS! (Arizona long term care) It's the eval we had the other day that we didn't get in August. (I was so upset then, that I cried on my birthday in the GCH and Napa Rose lounge with poor Donna left to deal with me. (Thanks D for being there!) Anyway, now we can have therapies in our home again, and I can finally get ABA (behavioral therapy)! I'm so happy that I'll have more help for Nathan. Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers everyone!

Very chatty today. Goal tomorrow is to catch up (completely) on the past few days of posts.

I hope you are all doing well. Today has been very busy and doesn't look like tomorrow will be much slower.

My to do list is long for the trip. Just glad I took the day off before the trip starts to finish anything that may still need to be done.

I will be printing the itinerary cards together tomorrow night so we're still good for any changes. I'll pull the itinerary around 8 pm PST.

Josh and I just finished counting 2087 box tops, a lot of soup labels, tyson's project A+ labels, etc. Now time to start sorting Girl Scout Cookies.

Hey girls--It was a 12 hour workday today and I am utterly exhausted, but before I head off to clean up the house I wanted to send huge congrats to Heather and Deb!!!

I can't wait to see everyone next week. And, just think, by this time you will all know the "secrets" that everyone shared with me for the icebreaker Get excited and break out the since there are some great stories that are soon to be shared!

Oh, and wish me luck 'cause I am doing a presentation at 4 pm tomorrow that I literally haven't even begun to put together yet. I have a meeting at 8 am tomorrow where I will be planning the session with my co-presenter. We have just been so busy with all the other details of planning our leadership conference (that we have 400+ students registered for!) that this has been our last priority. Luckily it's for freshmen who are brand new members of fraternities and sororities, so I feel like it doesn't have to be perfect, but I am hoping that it won't completely suck

Afternoon gals!

Cristabel I hope you feel better! Shane had a cold as did Shelby and they are feeling better and so far (majorly knocking on wood here) I have managed not to get it!!! I REALLY don't want to be sick during the trip!!!

I saw that forecast too. BOOOOO! I hope that it changes again before next week. I can live with chilly but rain, yucko!!

So we aren't staying at the Hojo but we WILL be sharing a cab with Capri and Callie so should I give them mom and I's candy to take in with them when we drop them off? That way they will have it to set up with? Otherwise we won't be bringing it till right before. And unfortunately Barb won't be bringing her's till we get there at 6:30 cuz we are meeting her later in the day. Is that ok?

I just hope I can get my pillowcase through security. I already have it in my bag all decorated because my suitcase and carry on are small and won't fit anything else. I hope they don't make me take it all apart. I am hoping I can just put it through the x-ray!!

Shane got an interesting call today. Apparently Lynn is ALREADY moving back up here. I KNEW it wouldn't last with her mom. Apparently her mom got a DUI and has been buying booze with her paychecks instead of food and not giving her any money to wash her clothes (they live in an apt) and on and on. She is figuring out that living with us wasn't as bad as she thought!! She is realizing she had it pretty darn good here with food in the fridge at all times and dad and grandma giving her money all the time and dad paid her cell phone bill etc but down there she had NONE of that. Unfortunately she has burned all her bridges here but somehow she convinced Shane's mom to take her back. Don't ask me how cuz they told us they wouldn't take her back and honestly I don't think it will last but we shall see. I told Shane she REALLY needs to stop thinking about today and start thinking past tomorrow! She keeps flitting from one place to the next but she needs to figure out what she is going to do with her life. She is 18 now and out of school and she needs to think about some kind of job and what she is going to do to live. She has no drivers license or car and no job or even a real job history because the 2 jobs she has had she has only worked at a few months each and basically got fired from both of them for just up and leaving with NO notice. NOT a good history there. It is SO hard to find jobs in this day and age and she can't even use what little experience she has. The military was really her only option at this point but she doesn't want to do that so I don't know WHAT she is going to do. We shall see I guess.

Anyway the girls and I have just been cleaning around here all day and shane is going to be at school again tonight so that's pretty much it for us. I have to check their rooms here in a bit and I told them if they did a good enough job we may go to the movie tomorrow after work so we shall see. It depends on how crazy it is tomorrow.

SOOO excited to almost be going on the trip although I will admit the weather and the crowd forecasts is a bit scary! Hope that it all turns out good!!
