My DH and I have 2 days off together which NEVER happens so we're heading into Vancouver to see some Olympic sights! I'm making a list of things we can do for free

I have to quickly pack up because I'm taking the train to Union Station in LA where my dad will be picking me up. I already emailed my two professors letting them know I'm really sick and it'd be best for me not to get everyone else sick, too.

Apparently Lynn is ALREADY moving back up here. I KNEW it wouldn't last with her mom. Apparently her mom got a DUI and has been buying booze with her paychecks instead of food and not giving her any money to wash her clothes (they live in an apt) and on and on. She is figuring out that living with us wasn't as bad as she thought!!

That just sounds horrible. I cannot imagine being a teen and seeing that as my role model. I hope she does come around and realize how she needs to live her life.

No big plans here.
I just finished baking some pumpkin-oatmeal-walnut-raisin bars for my inlaws. They came out really good! Too bad they have raisins in there.

My mom and I are putting that sign on our door but I printed it out and cut out the letters and pictures and I think my mom glued them on purple card stock.

I still need to figure out our big door sign. I know we are using the pirate shirt picture (the larger one) and I don't know what else. I bought a BRIGHT pink poster board to put everything on.

You and your mom are so crafty. I'm planning to print it out, and paste it on a poster board. Voila! Done.

I am making a door sign for our room and so far have collected all sorts of materials....scrapbook paper that looks like an old map...pirate themed fabric, alphabet stickers, lime green poster board...and, well...nothing. All the grandiose planning in the world...and I got nothing.

We might end up with a piece of notebook paper with our names scrawled on it with a sharpie. I am thinking, that sounds super festive, right????

I just love this shot. How awesome would it be to be there in the stillness of the early morning with the fog rolling in. Creepy and way cool. IMO at least.

I can't remember, do any of you do pin trading? I just bought a mystery lot on eBay and am hoping it gets here in time. It's someone I have bought pins from before and I'm pretty sure they ship very fast. I have some traders at home but figure I needed a few more.

I am hoping to bring some traders.

I'm also sad that Rivers of America will be closed when we are there. Since it's Shirley's first time, I really wanted her to see that, and ride the Mark Twain. And of course see Fantasmic. What a bummer.

I have a couple lanyards full of pins, but I don't trade. Just collect.

I always buy 1 or 2 when I'm at Disneyland but I get all my traders on eBay. Usually for just a few dollars a pin. My board is so full it's time for a new one. I always look for Tink and DBF like pirate pins.

Jill(4fosterkids) and Chris(Califgirl) both are pin traders. If there is a CM with a lanyard they are there. They always find good ones too.

Some days I will trades tons and some days I can't find any good ones or else I can't find any CM's with lanyards.
