Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

Just so you all know, I didn't even try to spy at Cheryl's house for any hints! Sorry Sarah and Carol!!

And just in case . . . . I left everything to do with the hunt at my office! I'm not STUPID!!!!!!!

Hi girls! I'm totally behind in this thread too ...

Mel, I am sooo sorry about your dog. It cuts deep to lose a canine member of the family. Big hugs to you!

Steph, good luck on your test!!

Cheryl, are those questions you're almost done with for the scavenger hunt? Let me know if you would like me (an outsider) to 'test run' your game. I won't be able to be there on Saturday since I teach that day, and that has always been a favorite activity of mine. I promise not to give any hints,, subtle or otherwise to the Divas, but I'll let you know of any trouble spots or missing clues/answers.

I'm another that can't believe the weekend is nearly over! Hope everyone has a wonderful, healthy week ahead!:goodvibes

Melody: I am so sorry about Daisy--I had NO IDEA this had happened when I talked to you yesterday--I would have mentioned it.

Chris: I did get your PM and of course we can go to the meet and greet together. And yes, we may take you up on your superior testing ability!

Steph: Good luck on the test!

For those Divas who are under the weather--hope you feel better soon. It's supposed to rain some this week and next--so I'm hoping it's getting "out of the way" so it doesn't rain during the Diva trip!

I spent my weekend (well, at least Sunday) doing continuing legal education--since the deadline was, well, today. (Didn't know I was a procrastinator, did you?) I learned SO many useful things--like how to set up a pet trust (thank you California legislature), how to bill clients with credit cards, how to keep from becoming an alcohol or drug addict, and whether I can have sex with clients (I can't).

Oh and forgot to mention my major crisis this morning.

Bella got in the back seat of the car and I saw her go after something in the seat. That seemed to move. Oh well, I thought--maybe a spider or something. Uh, no--it was a BABY LIZARD!!!!! Which by the time I got her out of the car I think was already dead. (Or playing dead?)

I put her back in the house, then backed the car out--keeping an eye on the lizard in the back seat to make sure it didn't attack me. Then took a broom and pushed it out onto the driveway--except the tail came first--yuck! I'm not sure if the little thing was still alive or not--I left it in the driveway figuring it it was just stunned then maybe sometime during the day it will scurry away.

Not how I wanted to start my day . . . . .

What?! You can't have sex with the clients?!! What is the world coming to?!!! :confused3

Well, at least it wasn't something worse.....like a snake. :scared1:

Looks like Bella is a good little watch dog. What if she hadn't been in the car to find the little critter. Then you would have been driving around all over town with an unknown hitchhiker until......BAM.....it jumps on you.

Good girl Bella. That's a good girl......that's a good girl! :dogdance:

Teens = slobs!! :mad:
At least in this household. Ugh.

I hear ya.

Here's my equation: Boys = pigsty!!!

I shudder to think what they'll be like as teenagers. They're already nasty enough now!

A quick birthday update....Nolan was NOT too sick to eat his smores that we made for his birthday breakfast. I think he'll make it! :thumbsup2

Awwwwww, that's good to hear! Hope he has a great birthday today! :bday:party:

:lmao:

Happy Birthday, Nolan!:dance3:

!

Steph: Good luck on the test!
, and whether I can have sex with clients (I can't).

I also wanted to wish Steph good luck! Sooo glad the state is wasting your time teaching you not to have sex with clients. :sad2:

Been there, done that - with my cat, in the house. My cat was so proud when we came home one day, talking up a storm. Then I saw he and the tail. Swept both out of the house. (the next day found more tail!)

Lizards live w/o tails, they will regrow I think, so he could make it.

Vicki, get anything good at the mall?

I hope Tina and Heather get over their coughs... and if anyone else is sick - take care!

Good morning all!

Teens = slobs!! :mad:
At least in this household. Ugh.

I think that is everywhere! At least in my house, I'm down to only one teenager left, but she is the WORST!!! Guess that's my paybacks!!

OK, ladies...hypothetical question for y'all.

If you had a DH who loved to apply for jobs on the Internet and if this certain DH was invited to go to WDW with his family as part of the interview process for a WDW hotel/park maintanence managerial job (which is no doubt the inside track for DL imagineering:lmao:) for two days in February, would you go? Expenses would only be paid from a location in the US, as potential employer assumes that this particular DH and family lives in the US. And at this point you have no desire to actually live in Orlando. And job is like 35 percent pay cut on current job. And, and, and...

Without going into any specifics and with complete discretion (ie, no facebooking your opinions where my family can read, please ;)), curious to hear your thoughts. Sounds a little insane, right? Even for the adventurous, spontaneous type...

Now back to your regularly scheduled program on DL planning.:happytv:

If this job would be a dream come true and there fore worth the money and hassel I would say do it. If I had an interview like that I would totally do it because it is a dream of mine to work for Disney...and let's face it....if I was given any chance to go I would snatch it up, but that is just me.

Yes, yes, YES--I would go. To me it's an opportunity that I couldn't pass up!

Just had to show off my new ticker! And is that a new one for you too miss Jane?

Cheryl, Jingles is our exterminator. We have crickets in our house because we used to have a frog and a few crickets escaped and now there are many! She loves to play with them but wonders why after a few hits with her paw they don't move any more :lmao:

Off to class, see you all later!

I say be adventurous while you can! The only thing that would keep from doing it is that little teeny-tiny minor detail of the 35% pay cut - LOL. :goodvibes
(But maybe the cost of living is 35% less in the States. I really have no idea what the cost of living is in Switzerland, but I would crunch the numbers to get a comparison.)

I need to see a copy of your hubby's resume as an example of how to do my hubby's resume. Maybe it would help in the job search.

Just had to show off my new ticker! And is that a new one for you too miss Jane?

Congrats!!! :cheer2:

I would think it was the Universe's way of telling me that I NEEDED to go to WDW.

Maybe the cost of living isn't 35% less in the States, but it is in FLORIDA?

Oh, and if I happened to be a DVC member I would probably try and turn the two-day adventure into more days.

Jenn, do you mean should you go with him for the interview?
Or do you mean should he go, period?
If you mean you, of course you should go. If it's just him and he's serious about the job, I would say no. I'll tell you why. My DD worked for Disney for two years in many different capacities and while she wouldn't trade that time for anything, it was difficult. They are hard to work for. It's their way or the highway and there is a TON of office politics going on all the time. That factored in with the pay cut and having to live in FL (the humidity alone would do me in), I'd have to take a pass. Unless of course, you really, really want to get the hell out of Dodge (Switzerland) and start life anew (again). But, I am sure you know in your heart what is best for your family. Good luck deciding.
