Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

Just to bring you all back to reality here (since I can't go and indulge in the drinks and food in Disneyland I'm going to be a party pooper )
http://www.socalmom.net/high_maintenance/2009/02/the-disneyland-diet.html
Thanks for posting that, however I respectfully refuse to even click on the link. I just don't wanna know. :sad2:
Okay, I'm skeered to find out how bad some of my favorite Disney foods are for me, so I will blissfully keep my head buried in the sand. ;)

Probably lots of uglies, smellies, and hairies around there.
Probably. But you might be surprised to see who goes to those places.

Today is Gamer and White out! Hopefully they are good. Honestly I LOVE Gerard Butler so I could watch it just for him even if the movie itself sucked LOL and I am not sure about White out but we shall see.

I can't WAIT for Time Traveler's wife to come out in a week!
I started to watch Gamer and couldn't handle it. Too much shooting right off the bat. I do want to see White Out too. And I also cannot wait for Time Travelers Wife. That's one I wanted to see in the theaters and never did.

Do you guys have Red Box in CA? That's where we get all our movies. All rentals are a dollar, even new releases. I love it. We haven't rented from a Blockbuster or Hollywood Video since we moved here and discovered Red Box.

Morning Divas. I am finally starting to feel better. Still not good, but better at least. And I have a million errands to run today. UGH! Hope everyone has a great Saturday!
I'm glad you are on the mend. Don't overdo it.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone!:flower3: We had fun last night at DL and even had a few surprises!
Sounds nice!! :)

Hello ladies,

I just wanted to tell you that our beloved dog Daisy of 11 years was killed yesterday by one of our trucks.:sad1:
Oh Mel. I am so sorry to hear this. :(

Hurry I am making a breakfast burrito's, chorizo, potatoes, cheese & eggs.
YUM!!!!!! I love making those.
Have you ever tried the Soy chorizo? (called Soyrizo) It's just as tasty, but better for you. I buy it from Walmart, but our Walmart has a full grocery store in there so I'm not sure if it's sold at all of them. Ruben's mom first told me about it and I really think it tastes the same.

Heidi before plastic surgery! After :scared1:
She is horrible. And have you seen Heidi Montag lately??? She's had so much work done and the sad thing is she didn't need anything done at all!! She was young and already pretty, if a bit annoying. lol
She's well on her way to turning out like those ladies who keep having more and more done until they look horrendous. :sad2:

Well Katie and I are off to do some more sweet sixteen shopping, today is 2weeks until the day.
Fun!!! Sounds like plans are really coming together! I cannot wait to see pics of it all.
OH! Speaking of pics, did you see my post the other day about your photo. I'm sorry I somehow missed you all this time. :confused3 I can add your photo now though so we'll all be able to recognize you on the trip. LOL Just post whichever one you'd like me to add. Or you can email it to me. That's what Daisy did and it's not a problem. :)

Have a good day ladies!!!

I have no clue what I'm doing today, but I know I don't want to sit around at home so I'm gonna go shower and get moving.

TTYL! :hippie:

I am glad to hear someone I actually know endorse Soyrizo. I always wanted to try it (I like using veggie/soy products when I can), but wanted to make sure it tasted good. Glad to hear you like it and its tastey. I will have to pick up some. On another recommendation I bought the morningstar tomato and basil pizza burgers.....yummy! They were sooooo good.

Still haven't jumped in the shower yet, but need to get myself moving.

Hey from WDW! I haven't read back on the thread but wanted to check in! We are having a great time! We had booked a Garden View (standard) room at the Poly and was upgraded at check-in to a beautiful waterside Magic Kingdom view room! Our friends that met us here are 2 doors down!
We spent 12 hours at Epcot yesterday. Today we are DHS and will be going to DTD tonight. Tomorrow is AK and MK!
Hope everone is doing well. Mel, saw the post about your dog. So sorry! :(
ok, the IJ Stunt show is about to start. I'll check in tomorrow!

I saw Heidi in People mag last wk, holy cow. 10 surgeries in 1 one. WTH was that doctor thinking?

Oh Mel, I am so very sorry about Daisy.:sad1:
We were just talking about your dogs last weekend.

And yes Beth, we do have the Red Box here. There is one at the SuperWalMart by my house and everytime I go there is a line for the Red Box. With the convenience of Pay-per-view, Net Flex and $1 for Red Box, I don't know how Blockbusters stay in business.

Your party sounds nice, Patty.
No scary movies for me, Kelly. I am such a wimp.

Anyway, we are off to run errands, too.
Glad you are feeling better Stacerita.:)

It's pretty tasty. Especially for burritos cause you are mixing it in with eggs, potatoes and such. My MIL is old school when she cooks, you know what I mean. And she liked it, so I figured I'd give it a go. It's not exactly the same of course, but close enough that you don't notice much difference and I feel better about eating it. There are different brands of it though, I'll check and see which one I buy.

I use the Morningstar products too! I love those pizza burgers. I'm not a vegetarian, but some of their products are just really good, so why not.

As you can see.......... I haven't made any moves toward the shower yet either...... :rolleyes1

:yay: Sounds awesome Becci!!! I'm so happy you were upgraded. How cool. Enjoy your day.

:sad2: It's just a shame she felt the need to start in with that already.

In my Walmart they sell it in the refrigerated section near the cheeses with the other Mexican food products. You might have to ask for it.

Me either!
Here they are all over. Inside Walmarts, 7-11s, grocery stores, etc. It's very handy and cheap. :thumbsup2

OKay, now I should really get going. I am feeling so lazy today. :teeth:

Oh, I love the sun dried tomato veggie burgers. Yum!

Also, one of my guilty pleasures is watching Celebrity rehab with Dr. Drew. It's always good for making me feel better about myself. Heidi is on it, and never looks good.

Patty, your party does sound nice! What a lucky girl you have!

I made breakfast burritos this morning also!

I'm still being lazy here, too.

Sounds like a fantastic trip so far, Becci! You totally deserve it!!!

I watch it too :thumbsup2 I was shocked when I saw her - and not in a good way :scared:

I love sundried tomatoes, but I don't like regular tomatoes.

I did my taxes last night, I'm so excited. I did this when I saw my refund. :scared1:

I got my braces adjusted on Thursday and I've been in so much pain since. It's miserable. I can't even chew! :sad1:

My grandparents and some uncles are coming over for dinner at 2. I don't feel like company at all. I'm going to go lay down until I have to start getting ready.

Yay for a good refund :woohoo: Boo for pain from your braces pirate: I hope you feel a bit better after lying down. Next time try taking Advil before going in for the adjustment as a preventative measure (about 20 mins before) and then every 4-6 hours after to try and help with the pain issues. Once the pain starts, it's way harder to get it to go away!

That looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO sinfully good! Unfortunately it's just not in the budget. My big splurge for this trip is Ariels. I may have to work a day at Beth's Brothel Ranch to afford it. ;)

I may need to come join you after eating at NR.

That's probably what did it! And sorry, I've never seen the info, but I'd guess either City Hall or at each restaurant.

Just to bring you all back to reality here (since I can't go and indulge in the drinks and food in Disneyland I'm going to be a party pooper )

Here's some ideas on what you should be eating in the parks. Some awfully tasty ideas like carrot sticks. Yum! Unfortunately they don't sell those in Switzerland, so I'll be sticking to my all chocolate diet for now.

http://www.socalmom.net/high_maintenance/2009/02/the-disneyland-diet.html

Thanks for all the suggestions & thanks for the link! It was pretty interesting to find out that some of my fav things are on her list of good options. (Just would have to cut back on the sauces & dressings, but am unlikely to do too much cutting back.)

Jen I hate to say it but I serioulsy doubt anyone is going to be eating carrot sticks or anything else "good for you" LOL. Maybe some random fruit here and there but that's bout it. ;)

I know I don't try to go nuts but I certainly am not going to be on a "diet" when I go and esp with THIS trip and all the fancy places we are going. I am DEF going to need to diet after THIS trip!

Woah! I too am definately not on a diet while on the trip, ;) but was more curious than anything. I've noticed that some of the things that I think are "healthy" in comparison to others on menus totally aren't!

Morning Divas. I am finally starting to feel better. Still not good, but better at least. And I have a million errands to run today. UGH! Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Hope you are back to 100% soon and that the errands are quick.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone!:flower3: We had fun last night at DL and even had a few surprises! We got seated immediately at CC and I had the very same soup that Beth posted! It was SOOO good! Then we saw the Lincoln show, AWESOME! Went over to DCA and saw Scott McIntyre from AI, a lot of people were saying hi; Allyson thought that was cool! We rode Screamin twice then went over to TOT and there were 2 FP just laying on top of the FP machine from earlier in the day SCORE!! After that we went back over to DL and rode Space and Buzz. We were able to get out of the park just when the fireworks were starting so we beat the rush to the trams and made it back to Cheryl's just a little after 10. Now I'm waiting for Allyson to get up so we can go on Indy and TSMM! Have a great day everyone!!!

I kept checking Mouse Wait on my phone and thinking how nice it would be to be at the parks. Glad you are having fun there.

Hello ladies,

I just wanted to tell you that our beloved dog Daisy of 11 years was killed yesterday by one of our trucks.:sad1: She was getting on in years, and was somewhat deaf, and laying in the sun right in front of one of the trailer wheels. She didn't even hear the truck start up I guess. :sad2:

Our other dog that we just got last month whose name is Bella, is so sad. She was going crazy looking all over for Daisy. She howled last night for her.
They're both beautiful Weimaraners. My oldest son also has one. Her name is Kate. When they were all here together we called them the Three Caballerros, or sometimes the Three Stooges.

Dave and I have been together for over 33 years, and Daisy was our best dog we've ever had. I am sad. :sad1:

I am so sorry. :( We just got our dog (my first non-reptilian pet) a year ago and are already so attached, I cannot imagine after 11 years. Weimaraners are beautiful dogs.

Congrats on the upgrade! Glad you're having fun. (btw - I'm jealous. We don't go back to FL until 2011.)

I saw Heidi in People mag last wk, holy cow. 10 surgeries in 1 one. WTH was that doctor thinking?

I saw an interview with her:
Reporter: Why do you think you're addicted?
Heidi: I'm not addicted. If I were addicted, I'd have had like 10 surgeries -
Reporter: You DID have 10 surgeries.

WTH????!!!! When she first started on the MTV reality shows, she was a pretty girl. My DH saw her in passing on TV and said she looked like a way older woman trying to pass for younger. Just sad because she was already pretty ( a little on the crazy side, but pretty).

I did my taxes last night, I'm so excited. I did this when I saw my refund. :scared1:

I got my braces adjusted on Thursday and I've been in so much pain since. It's miserable. I can't even chew! :sad1:

YAY! Extra DL spending money ;). Braces adjustments are the worst. I could never tell if they were going to be painful or not. It's like they lul you into a false sense of security with little adjustments then really go for it one week. :confused3

We are cleaning house this weekend (you're welcome ladies coming over next week to do t-shirts). It's not bad, but just need to do general pick up and clear off the dinner table. Also, I was looking at my calendar and realized I will be back @ DL for the weekend after our trip. My friend in WA is bringing her daughter down for her 10th birthday, so we are meeting up with them for he birthday breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen.

Have a good rest of your weekend everyone. It's almost Feb!

Soooooooooo jealous of you! Not only do you get to stay at the Poly (the resort I dream about staying at someday....ahhhhhhh), but you get the most awesome upgrade. How fantastic! :yay:

Hope you're having a terrific day at DHS. Our boys loved the IJ show. :thumbsup2

Sorry about your poor teeth though. OUCH! I hope you feel better soon.

I'm putting off doing my school work. Of course I have to do it today, so I guess I better get started. Just not feeling motivated. I even worked on my farm today on FB, which I haven't done in a long time. That's how unmotivated I am today to do school work. BLAH.

And poor Luke....he had a fever on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and a sore throat on Weds....then he was better on Thurs and Fri and was finally able to go to school....and now he has a fever again, this time it's above 102. I'm stumped. :confused3

LIveNation is trying to charge me an additional $12.50 PER TICKET for our HOuse of Blues tickets! This is crazy! I am calling HOB!

SarahMay

Ok, here is the deal...I can't buy through the box office...only someone who is there at HOB in Disneyland can do it...otherwise we have to pay an additional $12.50 per ticket which I am not willing to do...is there anyone who will be in Disneyland in the near future who would buy these tickets if I sent them a check for the amount?

Thanks,
SarahMay

Good afternoon everyone!

Stacerita glad you are feeling better. Sorry you have so much running around to do but maybe you will have SOMETHING fun eh? Sometimes I like errands if they get me out of the house. I almost regret making this a movie weekend because we FINALLY have sun after WEEKS of rain and it would have been a good day to get out in the sunshine and do something but alas not to be. Hope you have some fun plans for tonight or tomorrow at least ;)

Stacielee sounds like you guys are having fun! LOVE that soup and can't WAIT to have some! Hope you keep having fun and enjoy!

Tina sorry you aren't feeling well. I haven't felt well in AWHILE and I don't know if it's just this crappy weather or what but here's to hoping you are on the mend soon!

Mel I am so sorry about your precious pup. I know our pets are like our babies and it is so hard to lose them ((hugs))

We finished watching gamer and white out and I enjoyed both. Gamer was a little "rough" but ok and white out was interesting. Then we went to the basketball game and returned the movies we had and got a few more. We got the invention of lying, District 9 and 500 days of summer. There is a TON of movies that I want to see. There were some more too but I couldn't get TONS but def needed to catch up that's for sure.

I hadn't really heard of red box. I shop at winco and I don't think they have one there or if they do I haven't seen it. I was telling my friend at B-ball though about it and she said that is what they use so I may have to try it. I like the cheaper price. Can you rent more than one at a time? That is my thing we usually only rent movies once every few months and then get a lot like now to catch up and then don't rent any for awhile. So I like to be able to get a bunch or as many as are out that I want to see. I was looking at the coming soon and there are several that are coming in the next few weeks that I want to see.

Like I said I didn't want to do Net Flix cuz the way I understood it you could only rent one at a time and I like to rent a bunch and also I didn't like having to wait a few days to get my next set of movies. Plus I didn't want to have to pay a monthly fee since we don't always watch movies all the time. But this red box thing sounds cool and I will have to find which stores near me have one and try it out! :)

Anyway just took a break to check in here and will be back to my movie marathon. Have a good day everyone!

Kelly, if you go to www.redbox.com you can search for locations near you. Then you can view the titles available at each red box. Different boxes have different titles, and you can rent as many as you want and you can return them to any red box you want. It's cheap and easy! Something a lot of us relate to. :)

Sarah, what a pain in toosh! Hopefully someone is able to help you out.
