Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

Kerry thank you SO much for the kind offer. And normally I would take you up on it but honestly my mom wasn't that wild about the design to begin with and when I told her not to worry about it she was actually relieved LOL. She said she would get more wear out of her shirt without the design on it. I personally like it but I don't want you to have to go through any trouble. I just don't have access to a decent printer and don't know why I am having such a dang hard time finding someone who does but I just didn't want to mess with it anymore and honestly it is really not that big of a deal to me. I REALLY appreciate the offer though and think it is super sweet of you to think of everyone!! We are fine though but perhaps someone else may need some help but thank you for thinking of us anyway!! :)

Hi all!

Had a busy day with my DD Becky in her classroom. Still doing the Pioneer stuff. So fun!

Courtney, that is the best news about your Mom. I hope everything comes out perfect........right down to getting the time off for our trip!!! :cool1:

I love the instant coffee Via things from Starbucks. I was thinking of bringing some with me from Costco. How about that Wendy?

Kelly. I think I'm going to make some pins to wear out of the little transfer pattern. That way it is removable! I'm experimenting with that right now as a matter of fact. Seeing if it looks lame. I'm still going to bling it up though. :rolleyes1

Wendy/Pooh, don't we have some nice ladies here? You will have a wonderful time with us! :grouphug:

Kerry, you are so sweet to offer your assistance!

Can you all believe that our trip is in just 3 weeks from now! Woo hoo!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Busy night here, doing lots of homework before bible study at 9pm. I'm off to DLR tomorrow so I can buy the tickets for HOB. Sarah, the $ arrived just in time!:thumbsup2

Hi all, we are all sick, and I'm just about miserable.

I also hate it when FB puts Dawn's picture up and tells me to reconnect with her. If only I could. :sad1:

Mel, I bet you had a great day in the class!

OK, I'm off to relax.

Oh, and just what I don't need my son who loves repeating movie clips to hear: "Go ahead and act like a *******."-Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio. Said not once, but twice! I guess I hadn't watched that movie in a while. I mean, I'm not a prude or anything, but no one wants to hear a 3 year old walking around saying that! :sad2:

Heather, I forgot to tell you that I told Becky about your Mom's "Mystery Readers." She absolutely loved the idea. She is going to talk to her principle and other 3rd grade teachers, and see if they want to do it with her. That way the Mystery Reader can be shared. :cloud9:

Where IS everyone?! It's Thursday night NOT Friday night
I'm here, kinda doing homework. I keep checking here to see if anyone has updated and NOPE.

I'm here!
Not much happening on my end.

But I did want to tell Heather that I hope all the sickies gets out of your house soon.

Hellllllllo Miss Cristabelita, My neighbor!
I always think of Dawn when I call you that because that is what she called you. At least behind your back in a loving way she did! And I call you neighbor because we are right next to each other on the birthday calendar (even though I am older than your mom, but that's ok:rolleyes1) and we only live about an hour away from each other. DH is watching taped Nascar stuff. I am reading the Dis with my little Spikey. He is so cute, I love him so much.:cloud9: When are you seeing Jingles again? Oh, and love the pic!

For those ladies who are having time/crafty issues with the pirate shirts, I would be happy to print off the iron on for you and bring to the M&G (I have left overs from my wedding and can get 10 pages @ Michael's for ~$7 with my coupons). I think Tina offered to do ironing too (they should have a board & iron @ the HoJo). Just let me know via PM if you want me to print. No stress or pressure. Just don't want anyone to miss out on this year's shirt. Esp if you have a collection of the past 2 too.

Very nice to offer...and I am bringing my supplies to help anyone who needs help getting the iron on--on.

It's their instant coffee. :thumbsup2 It comes in little packets like Crystal Light does. It's pretty yummy too and is great for when you're traveling. :thumbsup2

I have never heard of this. I think I need some, really. I just try to stay away from Starbucks...as it is a expense I do not need to get in the habit of.

That was most definitely not me. I'm pretty sure the last time I ironed was to make last year's shirt!
I do believe it was my friend Okra, I mean AmySue, who made that fabulous offer.

Yep it was me!! Okra...I know, can you believe it. It almost seems that I must have made it up. I didn't though!!

Oh, and as for you people who never iron. I am the crazy one who irons almost everything I wear...t shirts, polos, the works. I only iron my kid's school uniforms and my husbands button shirts...but iron a lot. I grew up with a mom who ironed pillow cases!!!

Hi all, we are all sick, and I'm just about miserable.

I am sorry you are all sick. It has been going around my house...think we are done now.

And I know what you mean about Dawn on facebook. It shocks me each time...but I kind of like it...Keeps her in my mind more. She is already in my heart, but like the rememberance.

Got to go do a bit of packing. My DD and I are DL bound tomorrow and coming back first thing Saturday morning for her swimming.

I will give DL all your regards!!

Oh, I'll be sure to tell her. She'll like that she helped give someone with a new idea. :goodvibes

I don't think we'll be much better anytime soon. Doc says it can take 2 weeks to go away. Yuck. That means I'll eventually have to work feeling like this.

Hi neighbor!
I won't be seeing Jingles until NEXT weekend :sad2: I don't know how we survive without each other. Well, at least she has three other humans who will feed, walk and cuddle with her. Yes, I did say cuddle!

A few days after my parents arrived home from Spain, my mom was laying down on the couch watching tv when my little Jingles just hopped right up and snuggled up with her. My mom was so taken aback because a) she wasn't expecting it and b) because we don't allow dogs on the furniture.

Well, during the time they were on vacation, I always had Jingles cuddling with me but on top of a blanket that was covering me. My mom couldn't say no to the little rascal so now she's allowed on the couch if we put Jingles' towel down. My dad tries to fight it but he'll soon succumb to the soft and furry side :lmao:

My mom took her walking for the first time early last week and was so surprised how good she was on leash. She took her again when we had friends from church come over. I'm so thankful she came to us great on a leash because Osita was HORRIBLE on a leash and sadly that's why we never walked her but took her to the dog park.

Hey Courtney! My fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes and everything else possible is crossed for your mom! :goodvibes

Thank you, Wendellini! I'm going to tell her right now!

Tell your momma I say good luck!

Thank you, Tina! I'm going to let her know! :goodvibes

 Thank you Melody!

Stupid FB. I know the closer we get to our trip I think about Dawn more and more. :sad1:

 I didn't realize Jiminy said that. I guess as an adult I don't pay much attention to words like that. :confused3 I hope he doesn't say it out in public!

I'm HERE!!! I got a new cell phone and I'm trying to figure this sucker out.

Hi Y'all!!! Okra's in the house. Just sayin'....go back to your regularly scheduled Dising.

Did I mention that I am going to DL tomorrow and you aren't?

Night night!!!!

Hi ladies! It's me, dropping in late, after everyone is asleep. The trip is getting so close, it's so exciting!

:dance3:

I totally understand. But to put it in context, the boys turn into ********* in the film, right? So I think that was why Jiminy got away with it.

(saw a billboard for the new Kevin Smith film - it's called Cop Out or something generic like that. He wanted to call it Two (short name for Richard)s but the studio got scared. :lmao:

So I wanted to share with you ladies that my Mom had an interview last week at this place in Westlake Village. She got called back to take an ethics test yesterday and they called back today to tell her she passed and they would like her to come in tomorrow to take a drug test and background check. They told her if she was hired she would start on the 23rd. Please keep your fingers crossed she gets this job. It’s looking really good right now. She’s calling them right now to let the lady know she will be on vacation the 25th and 26th and is that still okay. I really hope she gets hired!!

Wow, she is a Disney diehard! It really sounds close, if she's at the drug test stage. Here's hoping the best!!:wizard::wizard:

Out of curiosity I went to Hoho's website to check the rates and the AP rate has dropped.. I redid our ressies for the lower rate and will keep checking up thru the 23rd to see how far they will come down.. Every little bit helps ;)

Hmmm, well I need to know more about this. Thx!

I'll do the group ride on TOT - just for the picture. It's not my favorite ride, but I'll do it once. I like to be on the inside end, next to the walls because there is more to hold on to. We should do a funny pic if we do it :thumbsup2

Oooh, Courtney, if you have any extra Breakfast Blend, I would :lovestruc some. I'll bring you some Canadian maple syrup :thumbsup2

I'm planning on doing the 12:10 Aladdin on Thursday (it's not on the Wednesday schedule either) before lunch and everyone meets at Rancho Z. I love Aladdin :upsidedow

I do too, and it's going away this year. I'm not sure what time we'll be able to get there, but if we are there early enough, we'll join you!

It's work, but I think it will be fun work. I

Off to a meeting & then retreat! See you all soon!!!

Jane, I can imagine that you'd be sooo good at this. Have a terrific time.

You got it! And yes, they do sell cocktails at Ariels.
.

I wish I had known that last year....

I'm glad you guys reminded me that Callie was in Hawaiii.......totally forgot. I hope her Mom is OK.

Tina, Glad the dryer wasn't serious! I got a chuckle out of your story though. LOL!!

My DD Kaitlyn is going to Fiji in July on a mission trip. My baby....:guilty: My son Derrick did one when he was 20 to the Phillipines. He was gone for 4 months on a MERCY ship that went into the smaller islands to help the islander's medical issues. He even helped do a circumcision one time. Another time they went down a river to a real remote area. They had to have the army with them to protect them. Dear Mom did not know this at the time..........thanks goodness. The ship also had pirate drills, just in case.:sad2: The organization was called YWAM. Some of you might know about this program. All in all, it was a great experience, but I was sure glad to have him home. Kaitlyn is doing her with an organization called Students International, and will only be gone for 2 weeks. Those are going to two REALLY LONG weeks. But this Mom has to have faith that she will be fine. :littleangel:

I'm sure too. It sounds so wonderful, the experience of a lifetime and to do so much good.... ah.

Callie reported that the doctors said the cancer had not spread - so very very good news for Jane. She is so optimistic and positive, this is how you heal! :cheer2:
I say all the ride wimps do a group Monsters ride after drawing then, or a group Soarin' ride. Although Tina, your offer to hold your bag is the best one I've received yet! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Oh, that is such a good idea, Heather! Yes! I only just figured out that the woman really talks to you, so I've never talked back. :rotfl:As a true Ride Wimp (tm), I love knowing there is a plan B for us.

Count me OUT for TOT and IN for Monsters!
I love Monsters. Half the fun is what Roz says to you at the end. Once she asked me if Bree & I were sisters and once she told me to bring her churro.

Yea!!!! Linda, read above... :rotfl2:

This is so great. It's getting closer... :yay:

It's late and I better be off to bed so I can get out of my apt before noon since it's calling for rain tomorrow and I'm off to DTD to get the tickets for HOB.

I hope everyone has a good night/ morning and a wonderful Friday.

Oh and by the way, 20 MORE DAYS UNTIL OUR TRIP

I'm up after a coughing fit. :guilty:

D-yeah, the boys turn into donkeys, and he says it before they do, but that is why. I really don't care other than I don't want Nathan using that as his new 'go to ' phrase. A few weeks ago, his phrase was 'oh, crap' not horrible, but not the most polite. The problem is that I want to raise him to be polite and respectful, if I could get over that, life would be easier! :lmao:

OK, I've got cough syrup and tylenol in me, I'm going to try this sleeping thing again.

Oh, and I ordered my gift cards! (I like to have all my Disney money on them except for some cash, it's less for DH to worry about, and I can spend with less guilt! :thumbsup2) The trip is feeling real to me now! pirate:
