I'm back from my wonderful weekend in Disneyland. I was sad I had to leave, but am super excited that I get to go back next week!

I hope everyone that is sick gets better really quickly and I hope everyone that is healthy stays that way!

Just a quick hello! I've been getting things done around the house so no time to really chat. And then the kids will be home soon so it will get even busier.

I hope everyone feeling sick is better soon!! That's my big fear now, getting sick before or on the trip.

Oh, and I watched Changeling. It was really good! Anyone else seen that movie?? I simply cannot believe that was a true story. Makes me want to do more research on it to learn more. It was unbelievable and so tragic too.

I may have to get you to tell me the story . . . I'm afraid to watch this movie because I'm afraid it will be too intense.

Very Fun Cristobel, I was just thinking recently, what happened to you!! I don't really know who is in our room at what times, we have four at the moment, but I don't know who will be there when. Stacie is kinda in charge!!

I feel, the more the merrier, more money for churros!!!

I do fear that Stacie will insist I am the one who gets to sleep under the sink. (It's the snoring, I know!!!).

Well it's still touch & go. I initially mentioned it to my mom and she's like "WHAT? YOU NEED THAT MONEY TO PAY OFF YOUR CC DEBT!"
But I'm like "I already have my current bills paid and I will most likely be keeping this job so I'll have a steady income"

She's like "We'll talk about it when you father gets home"

You can always bunk with us again. If you don't mind close quarters. And you may have to sleep under the sink or on the roll away. But I am sure everyone would love to have you with us again.

A little update

* I got called in to do some office work for my city jobs so tomorrow I'm working 8-1p with the city ($13/hr yay!) and then 1:30-7:30p at my bookstore job.

* My neighbor called me for some house work she needs done. She is handicapped so I usually go over and help her out in exchange for free lunch! But since this will be a heavy job she'll be paying me for it! Yay

How much do you think I'll need for next weekend?

Stacie can you PM how much it'll be for the room since we're splitting it up 5 ways for two nights?

the only meal I'll be going to is the breakfast at Storyteller's cafe and I've estimated that to be around $25 w/tax.

Anything else?

Anyone miss me?

I feel like I've been gone forever.

We met our new pediatrician today, and he is wonderful. Yay! Tomorrow we go to Phoenix to get Nathan evaluated. Our new ped sees what everyone is talking about, and is glad that we are going. I must admit, today is one of Nathan's good days, and I thought he'd tell me that there was NO WAY Nathan could be autistic, but he said just the opposite. I guess I need to face the facts. Please pray or send well wishes our way tomorrow. I think it's going to be really hard on me.

I'm so excited about our trip though! Beth, I'm going to Walmart tomorrow to get a tshirt, I hope I can find a bigger size than you did. Usually, I buy their shirts 2 sizes bigger than normal due to shrinking issues. After the initial shrink, I love their shirts though.


Beth, is there any candy left in the tub I sent you???


I've tried to catch up, and saw the mention of coordinating bottoms. I laughed so hard at that one. It reminded me of our new underwear conversation.

So, to those of you who have been before....is there a breaking in phase when wwe meet? I feel like I really know some of you, and wonder if it will be hard to relate the same way in person at first?

When I went on the trip to DW there was a bit of breaking in time. We met at the Wilderness Lodge for dinner and kind of stood around saying who we were and our screen name and then one of the girls was just being her saracastic self and it broke the ice...that and the Roaring fork dinner! It gets easy fast, it just can be difficult remembering the person's name and screen name - thank goodness for nametags!

We had Ryan evaluated in Phoenix too, well Scottsdale actually, at the Melmed Center. It turned out to be a positive experience for us.....I guess because it made us feel better informed.

I'm trying to remember a breaking in phase last year. I remember meeting for our first dinner at the Jazz Kitchen, and for me it was easy to relate to everyone! I felt like I'd know them for years.....which some of them I had, but only online.

Actually I think it'll be even better at the pizza party......a more intimate activity with lots of fun interaction. I can't wait!

So, to those of you who have been before....is there a breaking in phase when wwe meet? I feel like I really know some of you, and wonder if it will be hard to relate the same way in person at first?

I've met many people "in real life" that I knew cyberly, and it's always a little bit odd. First there's relief that everyone is actually female, and not some big male "galoot" that's been tricking you. Then it's sometimes a bit quite. Then someone will share how completely strange it is...everyone laughs...and then within an hour you're laughing and having a great time.

That's how it's been each time I've met someone from a message board, at least.


Oh, and since some people know each other (like I know Cheryl, and a bunch of people from past trips know each other), there will be a feeling of being left out most likely, but just know that that's only coming from your head (and almost everyone will be feeling that way), and the feeling will fade.

There's also the realization that not everyone is the same as they are online...for instance, I'm fairly outspoken online, but I'm actually quite shy in real life. I'm quiet, I hang back, and so on, even though online I'm not really like that. I'm sure others are different, too!

Yeah, I think it is one of the best. Too bad our insurance didn't cover it. We had to pay out-of-pocket for the evaulation, and couldn't go back for any therapy because we couldn't afford it.

So I did MASSIVE research, read lots of books, bought some educational aids from the "Different Roads to Learning" website, and did my own therapy with Ryan at home. We didn't really have a choice......but you know......I think I did okay.
