Hey all.....I htought I'd just pop on really quick. I am sooo miserable. I went to the doctor's this morning, and I have a very bad case of mono. I'm sooo sick.

I had a great time and wish I could talk with you all, but I feel like I've been run over by a truck. My neck/throat is so swollen, I can't talk.

I am surprised you are up at all. When I had it I didn't get out of bed for weeks. Heck, I even stayed home for a couple of months. It was the worst thing ever. I wonder where you got it from? Who were you smooching?

I don't think you all are making it over to the WISH thread, so I'm reposting my invite here as well...

So who wants to go back to Disneyland with me this Labor Day weekend?

I would like to invite all of you to join me for the Disneyland 5k and 1/2 marathon http://www.disneylandhalfmarathon.com taking place Labor Day weekend Friday, September 4 - Sunday, September 6, 2009.

I know all of you can at least walk 5k as we did that many times over this past weekend! And nothing like having a goal (fun goal no less!) to keep you motivated and on track. So go to the website and register! Cost is $40 for the 5k and $120 for the 1/2 marathon. And yes, you can walk these events.

I'm going. Beth's coming. NOW WHO'S COMING WITH US??

Just wanted to let everyone know we got home ok. Heather and I got back to our home town about 11pm last night.

Glad you made it home safe and sound. It was so nice to see you again!!

A 5k isn't so bad. I might be interested in doing it but what scares me is the crowds Because I know after the 5k I will want to do some rides and it will be packed!

I figured being Labor Day weekend it would be a zoo! I'll probably just plan to snack my way around the park after doing my 5K.

My family will be in DLR from Sept. 4th-9th to celebrate Ty's 2nd birthday. There's no way that I could do the half marathon, but I could definitely be talked into walking the 5k with a group of Dis friends!!!

I've wanted to do the 1/2 Marathon for the last two years but I haven't wanted to do it by myself.

My aunt ran it the very first year.

Oh No Heather! That's horrible news! I can't believe you were such a trooper through the whole weekend and feeling as awful as you probably were.

I hope they are able to give you some good meds to keep you comfortable while you recover, sweetie!

So I had mono in high school. Does that mean I can't get it again? Can I be a carrier? Sorry, but I am a bit worried about my family and need to prepare just in case. I know Stacielee's family was dealing with it recently, but the incubation period wouldn't match up for her to be a carrier.

I hope everyone else gets some good sleep this week and takes all their vitamins and immunity boosters!

Me too! I know I could do the 5K but the 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles in 3 1/2 hours) would be a challenge. Maybe I could start running with my aunt. She's done the L.A. Marathon a few time. 26 miles!

No, you won't be a 'carrier". If you had it, you have the antibodies. Unless you brought something with her saliva on it and gave it to the family, no, you shouldn't worry. Also, the younger kids who get it won't be bad off. Bad cold/flu like symptoms and thats about it. Most won't know they even have it. Older teens and adults are the ones who get it bad. The older you are, the worst it can be. Unless you shared cups or forks or stuff, you shouldn't need to worry.
