Yeah, I never did the platform shoes. It was one of those, "if you want them, you will have to buy them with your own money" from my mom. I was always scraping together my pennies and babysittin/weed pulling/picking strawberries with migrant workers to pay for my horse, none to spare for buying shoes. I'd likely have killed myself anyway!!!

I only had one pair, but I loved them. Weren't they called ciggarette legs?

Oh, and I think we have had the age battle before, and you beat me by a couple. I'm 47....but have a DD8, so I have to act younger!!!!;)

cccdisney... my youngest granddaughter has asbergers.. {my spelling is off:goodvibes}......i found some cute ribbon charms on ebay with the autism puzzle on it..and then my oldest granddaughter put the charms on them and gave them to her brownie troop. They were so inexpensive and reallty turned out cute.

That sounds really cute! It's amazing how many families are affected now. Something relaly needs to be done. More research, more funding, more hope.

Hello Ladies,
Happy news for me, as I am always scheming for another reason to visit the parks you know. Just found out that my work's leadership conference will be in San Diego Oct. 19-21. I will be finished fairly early on the 21, and am thinking of heading up to Anaheim and going into the parks, and then going in on the 22 before flying home that night. So, it would be Wed and Thurs for me in the parks. Will they be closed early?

Hey cool! I will be arriving around the 21st. I will have the family in tow, but would love to see you again sometime.

AmySue... aahhh... i'm so sorry..i hope you feel better.

OkRaH!

Now i wanna know what kinda shoes a stripper named OKRAH wears:rolleyes:

:rotfl: That's so funny! I like my 'okrah' dipped in batter and fried. Yum!

Have a great night everyone. Tiffany sparklesweet is tired...

Lol. I'm definitely tired & think my eyes are blurry. I read I was always scraping together my panties...

Hush!.... Move along. Nothing to see here. ;)
I owe the tag fairy dinner at Yamabuki and a tub of popcorn for my hissy fit. I have ruined so many things in life that way. I hope she understands.

I think I owe someone else here dinner at Yamabuki, pokes Mary Jo.

Now you ladies got me thinking about that song "Muskrat Love", make it stop, lol.:lmao:

Tomorrow night you said?

Yep, Yamabukie, 8 PM, April 2 2009
You can have anything on the menu. I rarely do Asian food but I am certain I can get one there. I am buying.

I need to get a nap then head out to DLR to do research for that lady with the two little girls who are hypersensitive, one on a feeding tube. She needs pureed food, baby stuff, I need to check on nurses, and find yogurt. Of course I will be checking the quality of food in parks, lol. I will rent an ECV for this trip. I plan to spend 4 hours nonstop researching.

If you need anything lt me know.:grouphug:

Thanks! The jigsaw puzzle ribbon has become a common "pattern" for autism. Here is a quote from the Autism Society of America on why:
"The Autism Awareness Ribbon - The puzzle pattern reflects the mystery and complexity of the autism spectrum. The different colors and shapes represent the diversity of the people and families living with the condition. The brightness of the ribbon signals hope—hope that through increased awareness of autism, and through early intervention and appropriate treatments, people with autism will lead fuller, more complete lives."

I am bad at explaining things so it is easier for me to quote!

WOW!! I did not know this.

I *DO* Believe in Tag Fairies!:flower3:

I BELIEVE IN THE TAG FAIRY!!

Now Mary Jo, if I have to discuss my uterus in my tag, then I think it's only fair that your panty issues are up for grabs. :rotfl2:

I :lmao: everytime I see that tag you have.

I'll try to make it -- I've been wanting to go to that restaurant, & it'll be nice to visit. But, I'll pay for my own -- otherwise I can't go. :)

I had California rolls for the first time in December, and developed a taste for wasabi - even though too much gives me a head rush & I can't breathe (crazy, huh). Yesterday, while at work we went to a little salad bar for lunch, and I got the Santa Fe salad (normal choice for a Mexican, I would say), but then got cucumber wasabi dressing. Oh my gosh - to die for. Lol. Those two flavors were delicious. Oh well, just thought I'd share (still thinking of food w/wasabi early in the morning).

I love California rolls and that is weird as I do not do crab, avocado or seaweed. It is a major sensory thing with me and I can eat 6 of those. My grandmother was Chihuahuese but I did not get a desire for spicy food. That wasabi stuff is addictive.

Yamabuki has only until the 11th until it closes and two of those days are their normal days off. I wonder what they will put there. I would love to find a Thai restaurant that does not drowned everything in soy.

As for the puzzle and autism we at disAbilities see autism as one big puzzle to solve. Space is not the final frontier, the brain is the final frontier, vast and unsolved mysteries.

Morning all.

Ah Amysue, another gal like me, migraine sufferer. That sucks. Sorry to hear that. I get the hormonal headaches and until I got on stuff constantly I got them EVERY flippin month but ask your doctor about Frova. That is a new drug for just "that" time of the month. I really am not happy about doing the hormone therapy and as I said in my other post I am going to see about other options. But before I started doing what I am currently doing which is basically taking hormones all month long so that I basically don't HAVE periods I was getting SEVERE headaches every single month during that week. I mean I was on my butt for that entire week every month. I get SEVERAL triggers though and my topomax helps a lot with the OTHER stuff but not the hormonal headaches.

I have to be so careful though about everything. Allergies trigger them and certain foods, if I get too hot or cold I mean you name it but the hormonal ones are the WORST.

So anyway ask your doc about the Frova.

Anyway today I was "supposed" to have the day off but mom is now going to Truckee TODAY since they are taking us to the airport on Sunday so it looks like I have to go in to work TODAY instead. BLEH. So hopefully it doesn't take me all dang day cuz the girls have their short day at school too but then at least I have all day TOMORROW to hopefully get my stuff done.

Anyway then tonight is just Survivor, CSI and Eleventh hour and that's bout it. STILL no ghost whisperer tomorrow night and not sure what's on the agenda for Saturday but I am sure it will be last minute prep to leave.

Yay only a few days left!!

Oh and p.s. my friend e-mailed me and she is in the WRONG hotel! We are staying in the Ramada Maingate right across the street, well she is in the Ramada in but like a mile away! I TOLD her which one and yet they STILL got the wrong hotel. UGH! I don't know WHY they put so many of the same named hotels on the SAME street! My aunt did the same kind of thing a few years ago. We were staying at the Fairfiled inn Marriott and she made ressies at a Fairfield Inn but in Anaheim Hills. WAY far away. And this was in the middle of July but LUCKILY they were able to get her a room. But our friends are only coming up for a day and at least they are just down the street but still! It just amazes me how many times I can tell people something and they STILL don't get what I am saying LOL.

Oh well they aren't us disers who are geniuses at planning! ;)

She didn't even have her tickets and wanted a 1 day 1 park ticket too and wanted to know about discounts and I told her I seriously doubted there was such a thing although they ARE so cal residents so I said to look into any kind of local discounts cuz that is the only thing I could think of. Otherwise I didn't think there was anything.

Anywho. That's bout it for me today. You gals have fun and don't talk so much. I can't keep up! ;)

See yall later!

You do have me beat, by 1 year. But I couldn't imagine having an 8YO now. My youngest is almost 14 and that's killing me right now!!

Hi ladies!! My name is Terrie and I'm pretty sure that I'll be joining you next year on the all girls DIS trip to Disneyland!!!:cool1: I'm sooo excited!!! I even asked my mom to go and she said yes, she'd go!! She's never been to DL or WDW, so I'm so excited for her:goodvibes!!
