Girls Only Disneyland Trip ~ Old thread, link to new one in first post

Ok I am back home for now before I have to pick up the girls from school.

I have the pics downloaded. Here is one of both girls. Since Shelby dressed up Katy wanted to wear a dress too. Only problem is her hair got in her face. HMMM....

And then mom took these so not the BEST pics but anyway this is Shelby doing her poem.

And the blanket is a prop by the way. It was a poem about falling asleep in class.

They were allowed to bring one prop if they wanted too. Anyway I go pick them up here in a few and then tonight we are going to see about going to the dollar movies and seeing Inkheart. We wanted to see that when it was at the regular movies but never got around to it.

The girls and I BOTH want to see that new one too that has Mathew Perry and Zac Efron 17 Again. YUM!

She's only up in Seattle...most complicated part of getting to her is getting from the freeway to the UW. Her sister needs to wait until she's out of ICU and into a normal room...then they'll tell me what room and what time.



Capri, my mom always took us to the MD about a day too early, too. He would always tell her "if you brought them in tomorrow I might be able to do something, but not today". He was also awesome b/c he ALWAYS did the lab tests BEFORE doing anything else.


Kelly, that's just rotten about the system. I have some friends in support roles to gov't in Sac'to...I kinda feel like going to them to have a chat! Though the main one is dealing with a nasty computer virus he got from a Facebook application (he's most likely having to get a new computer, it will not come off his computer), so I'm not sure I can tear him away from all of that...

I might have mis-spoken by blaming an actual application... but this is what he wrote about what his computer "has":

"The one named SATALA.WORM! Just don't click on any files that may look quite legit."


He also said "the virus will come to your inbox from someone you know on Facebook -- designed as an innocent question -- or -- if you're lucky -- a telltale "you gotta look at this! LOL.""

In his case it came from a newspaper editor..my friend works with state gov't and is normally getting things like that through FB (funny, eh?) so he didn't even give it a moment's thought...clicked and boom.

And then his email sent out emails too...I have a Mac so I'm relatively impervious (no one designs viruses for Macs, no fun to it, and, um, probably most of the virus-creators are USING Macs LOL) but for some reason I didn't even get an email from him about it (have only seen his posts).

I just wouldn't click through from emails you get. If you get an email informing yoiu that someone posted something interesting, just go to FB separately, don't click through the email.

Update on friend! She's still in ICU but is being given ice chips now. She has a clicker for pain, but isn't having to use it much. When she does use it, though, she's out. (which is what I remember before...I hope I'm there when they start weaning her from the morphine clicker...she was so cute the last time when that time came)

Her sis will call me later to tell me the room and what time the nurses are OK with people showing up. Hubby is thinking of taking E up to work with him...movies on his personal laptop, headphones, snacks, and alone time with papa...he's the only one there on the floor on Saturdays so it *might* work.

I'm miserable with chills and cramping......

Luke is sick again with a temp of 101.5.

Ryan is on his way to the doctor again (DH taking him) with a temp of 102.6 and an ear that hurts like the dickens.

I think our house needs to be sealed in plastic and sterilized!

I am AZ born and raised, never lived anywhere else, family moved here when we were still AZ territory! Took the name in honor of the greatest action hero, to me, Indy!

There's nothing worse than not getting what you paid for, especially at DL. Glad everything worked out. I took the Walk In Walts Footsteps, learned a little bit, could have lead it myself, the cm, with all my comments and questions kept looking at me like why are you on this? But the pin was cool!

Now that my kids are a bit older its still weird that I have time to myself in the Park, but kind of neat too. Im not worried about travelling by myself, just that I wont know anyone. What was that comment about not biting, or most of you dont?
I look forward to chatting with and getting to know you all!

BTW, Albertson's here sells the best non-fat milk ever - Heritage in a green and white carton. It fluffs up nicely for coffee foam too.

Got here just fine--haven't been to a park yet! Yesterday was spent flying and at Downtown Disney. I really liked POFQ--especially the beignets!

Moved over to SSR this morning. Room wasn't readdy until after 5 pm--but I was at the soa getting a massage and pedicure until then anyway. Just got baqck from the Grand Floridian--had dinner at Citricos, It was yummy.

Really tired --will tell more tomorrow, need to get to bed,

oh and my birthday is April 1st (no kidding!)
