Well, like I said, I am not going to ask again for it, it I don't get it, it's ok. But I did have to make the phone call to try!

Ok, lunch is over, back to work for me. Boo Hoo.
Oh, but wait, I need $$ to go to DL more often, so I guess working is a good thing.:goodvibes

I emailed Lorealle on behalf of the group--will let you know when I hear back. I DID show my Ent. Card when I checked in.

I wonder if your lawyer-voice comes through in written communication?

:goodvibes
Hopefully! :thumbsup2

I showed my card and am still annoyed that they didn't ask me if I wanted the Ent rate for the rest of the week. I mean, did they think a guest would only want it for one night when it was available for the whole week? :confused3
Maybe that's just something I would do. Maybe they aren't supposed to offer it unless the guest brings it up first. Who knows.
Like I said, I'll check my CC statement for a credit when it comes. If I get it, fine, if not, as Linda said, I'm not going to keep going on about it.

Ok so I am feeling like a creep sort of. Or sneaky or something.
OH Hi Molly Where have ya been?
Ok so a few months ago I got a letter from DCS, my child support for my oldest has been the same since he was 1. I have never thought about having it modified, or have even given it a thought. So anyway last wk I got a call. I found it strange. But the call was from DCS saying that they think my child support is extremely low for a child his age and the wage brackets in which we are both in..WTH :confused3 Ok whateva...So then yesterday I get a letter from DCS along with my child support asking me if I have applied for foodstamps? Well the letter had a set amount that I could recieve. WHAT?
Ok so am I am missing something here? I am clearly not poor. But does the state of Washington think that I am? I was confused and slightly amused!! So I called my BFF to tell her about it..both of us are now really confused.
Well long story short, I just finished filling out the paper work to modify my child support. But in a way I feel sneaky. I am not sure why. I just feel bad when he (the donor :lmao: ) gets the paper work. But in a way I am not.
After all he did win $4500 in Vegas last wk, and is sending money for half of Jordans bike. Its a Zebra and honestly the child IS NOT GETTING the bike until he has earned his half of it.

I am sitting here highly amused that I can afford to go to Disney, but the state thinks I need or should apply for foodstamps. :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl2:

Oh, btw...all of that paperwork has given me a huge headache..
Is it 7:30 yet?

Note to self: Move to Washington ASAP!

You're not a creep or sneaky, you're just getting what you deserve! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

OK Divas! I just booked the Kids Suite at the HoJo for October 21-25. She said that they are starting to sell them in July. They are all HWY facing, and price is based on time of year. The kids room is completely seperate from the parents room, and there is a door that can be closed. TWO BATHROOMS! :thumbsup2 They will have the new bedding and a fridge and microwave. The kid's room is pirate themed. I am paying$113.90 a night with our Disboard discount of 15%. The room will sleep 6, so if you can stand HWY side, I bet it would be a great room for those who really want to pack them in. NO roll away in the kids room allowed, but a crib is. There is an AP discount of 20% as usual. I'm excited to check them out!

This is so tempting me to cancel my timeshare...

Ok I am back home from running around and before I go back out again to get the girls I have to say that mom and I went to this Deli for lunch and it was hilarious! There was this WHOLE group of old people there that were all dressed in St. Patty's day stuff. It was a crack up! I was so going to have the corned beef and cabbage but we are having that for dinner so instead I had the lox and bagels. (it was a jewish deli after all) and it was YUM! That is one of my FAV things to eat. Although the corned beef DID look yum! If I wasn't eating it AGAIN tonight I would have had it! It was so cute though seeing that whole group of old folks with their irish hats and little head bands with clovers and they were all drinking their beer and making funny toasts. It was REALLY cute!

Anyway I got home and got all the girls stuff put away so ONE less thing to worry about! WHEW! ;)

That's really weird! I don't think my mom EVER got such a letter or call from the state of CA. Wouldn't have done much good if she did, of course. (which is why I totally let my dad pay for the wedding even though I was 33...making up for those years he didn't pay)

I'm around! We've been in heavy talks, trying to figure out from every angle we can, if we want to/can/should get Cheryl a DVC referral. :) Difficult conversations for anyone, but for us even harder b/c of our known communication issues, so it's been practically a 24/7 (with time off for Robert when he's at work of course) conversation recently. Chatted with the guide we'd met with before (and was the co-leader of the presentation) and he told me exactly what incentives there were when we met with him in '07, OUCH that hurt! Never look at incentives you've left behind....:headache:

I hope everyone is having a good day. Today is the first day we will be swimming.:yay:
The grandchildren are ... t r y i n g... to take their nap..but they are so excitted to swim.

deleted cuz i found the info i was asking about

Ok--so which Diva is getting the crib?

Molly--you should do what your gut tells you. Disneyland will still be there even if you don't buy DVC. My suspicion is that even when the GrandCal sells out, that Disney will then do another DVC at the DL Hotel or the Paradise Pier (both have been rumored). Sometimes my instincts tell me that when a decision is so hard it's because you shouldn't make a decision--jmo.

That's what I thought. My mom never did either.
The amount has been the same for 12 years. Strange just strange.
Maybe its because he lives in Indiana? I dunno...

I found this...the dates are older... but it gives a general outline....so PLEASE don't tell me i'm wronG wroNg WRONG... cuz i'm saying this is old but a general outline to begin with.

What does it cost?
There are two cost components to DVC ownership: the initial purchase price and Annual Dues.

The initial purchase is essentially the fee paid to an entity called Disney Vacation Development to acquire an ownership in DVC. In simpler terms, Disney makes most of its money by selling points in the first place. This is their profit after the tremendous expenses incurred in building and selling points to members.

As of this writing DVC points retail for $104 each with promotional discounts in the neighborhood of $10 per point. The minimum purchase is 160 points, meaning that the minimum amount required to buy into DVC is a little more than $15,000.

Don't panic yet because DVC will help you finance the purchase. More on that in another topic.

The other cost component of DVC ownership is Annual Dues. A "member" in the Disney Vacation Club is actually a deeded part-owner of a Disney resort hotel. One of the obligations of being an owner is to help pay the operating costs and upkeep of the resort. It's similar to buying a home--you pay a large sum up-front (or take out a mortgage) to acquire the property, and then you still have to pay utility bills, property taxes, lawn care, replace the roof, etc.

DVC dues cover similar expenses at the resorts--items ranging from the salaries and benefits of front desk and housekeeping cast members to theme park transportation (bus, boat) to property taxes.

Dues vary by resort and are expressed in terms of a set dollar amount per point. In 2007, the dues at Saratoga Springs Resort are $4.12 per point. An owner with 200 points would then be responsible for $824 in dues for the year. The dues can be paid in one lump sum or debited to a US checking or savings account each month.

So, to buy 200 points you could be looking at $15,000 up front plus another $800 per year ($65 per month) in dues. That may sound like a lot, but check out our Breakeven Analysis and see if you still think so.

Thanks!

Every decision is like this for us, LOL. And just when we've figured it out, someone will say something that makes the other person realize that there's been a misunderstanding, and we have to go back to the beginning. It's hilarious when it isn't frustrating.

And seriously, even dinner decisions can have this sort of thing.

His mom warned us it would be difficult!!!! As soon as his mom found out I'm a Rooster in Chinese astrology she tried to make sure we knew it would be no walk in the park. It's funny b/c my mom was really into "western" astrology and his mom is into eastern. No matter what the reason is, she was right that we have an uphill struggle with decisions!

Thank goodness for that counseling we had while still engaged...without it we'd be nowhere!

Wow... it's all so tempting.
And i'm like a kid in the candy shop when it comes to Disney.

But i need to be still and remember that i could pay off my sons condo with that, or save it for my grandchildrens college.

So sadly, this monkey butler won't be able to get the DVC. Although i want it i want it i want it with alllllllllllllllllllllllll my VeRuCa SaLt hearT!:rotfl:

Credit card is getting too high and on disability there is no way I could afford monthly fees. $800 is too much when the house needs work, my health is not good, and mom wants a recliner. Find me $100,000 and I will surely join DVC but until then I rather waddle and rent an ECV than pay $800 when I cannot even walk into parks without pain.

I need a nap.

I think it's a great investment as space is limited and that's the TOP hotel in this resort area.

I bet it will have great resale value.

It's just not an option for me at this time. But if wishes were fishes i would be swiMMin in DVC points.:wizard:
