Girls Only Disneyland Trip ~ Old thread, link to new one in first post

Becci~ Did the glasses ever make it? Road trip sounds fun.
Next summer I think I want to take my kids on a road trip on I-90 to Boston.
I love Boston!! I love the east coast, even though I have only been there in jr. high. But I LOVED IT!!

Debra I SO know what you mean. Mary P can come to MY house! Once swim starts it is NON stop for months. We have swim 5 days a week and then meets ALL day Saturdays so our ONLY day off is Sundays but then of course we have Church so NO rest for the weary!! Then we go STRAIGHT from swim to soccer. With our old team we at LEAST got a week break but not with this team. It starts a whole month earlier and goes later! UGH!

But it is a much better team so you do what you gotta do. Then soccer practice starts bascially August 1 but in this case probably August 3rd but our swim team champs probably won't end till that weekend of August 2nd and so sam diff. So they will butt up against each other. Girl Scouts is the entire school year but LUCKILY our leader is on swim AND soccer so she usually doesn't start stuff till like Oct and ends in May. Then next year as SOON as soccer is over in Nov the girls want to do basketball in Jan. So busy busy!!!

I am glad they like it though. Keeps them out of trouble!

But anyway I had to wait forever at the lab place and at least they didn't lose my paperwork this time although the lady behind the counter was a B!!

I have to have my blood drawn almost exactly 12 hours from when I took my meds the night before and I just asked her a question and she liked to took my head off. But I did ask this other lady about my migraines and she recommended accupuncture so I may try it cuz I have heard it works and at this point I have done everything else!

Anyway then I went to Target and got ALL the basket stuff PLUS the egg dye and we usually hide chocolate eggs in the yard too cuz I can only do SO many hard boiled eggs. BLEH!

Plus they had some really cute dresses and stuff and shelby was needing some so I went a little nuts but she was needing some stuff and I just LOVE their stuff.

Plus I was checking out the Nintendo's for her birthday. UGH! She JUST got a stupid gameboy not that long ago but of course they don't make them now. FIGURES! Anyway so had a productive day. Now I am at mom's office and as soon as they are done with their office meeting we are going to have lunch then I am going to head home and organize all my "stuff".

Oh and Beth as far as Twilight is concerned, uh that will be going in "my" easter basket thanks

My opinion of on site: Not really any closer. The maps will tell you that, and I have experienced that too. Well, except Grand Californian of course. Or at least some of it. But, it is nice to not walk on street with the locals

When I stayed at CCI, we got a premium room and had breakfast delivered. It was really quite lovely. But those rooms are small. Absolutely no place to put any extra luggage. At Hojo's, we had space for food, space for luggage, space for souvenirs, space for toys. It was awesome. Family trip that is. Ladies trip was pretty spacious too, but not as big as NQQ1.

Don't tell anyone, because I don't want them to think I am nuts, but I have the kids King Suite at Hojo's reserved in Dec. for another family trip. Hoping this time my Mom will take time away from wallowing in her misery to come and have some fun with us. I am dying to see the layout and pics of the Pirate theming etc. The descriptions says two rooms, King bed and bunk beds, two baths, plus it's a suite, so there should be kitchenette and sofa (it says sofa bed). It actually sleeps 6! It is $164 at high season, but I think I will get the 20% AP discount. It is about $135 in lower season though. How many divas would fit in that?? I could share a king bed with anyone!

Is that an invitation?

Well, I called Joanne today about the refund and while she was very pleasant, she was doubtful I would get a refund. The reason was because I did not book and Ent Rate when I reserved and did not show the card and inquire when I checked IN. I did ask when I checked OUT and the man said I had to call Lorealle. I tried to explain to her that others in our group had a card but I thought Lorealle said she would extend the Ent Rate to ALL of us regardless of if and when we produced a card to the front desk.

I am not going to fight them on it, since it's $60 ($15X4 days), but if I don't get it, I think it shows poor customer relations on their part.

We are going to Ohio to pick up my son's Service Dog. The dog is currently in training and we need to be there for a 11 day training and certification process. We are not flying because last time we flew with Jack it was he!! on earth. I really wanted to jump off the plane. He has issues with going into unfamiliar places, especially small places.
So anyway, a road trip it is! I actually am looking forward to it because we will be driving through parts of the country I have never been to. Jack does really well in the car and travels the 7 hours to Disneyland without a problem and never even naps. He just stares out the window for the most part. We are hoping he does the same for this - even though it will be 5 days straight of driving!
We are taking I-80 the majority of the way. Then cut down through Indiana at some point and into Ohio. We are going to Xenia, Oh - suburb of Dayton.

Oh, well, that's a good reason to go! We took 40 from CA to MI and we stopped to see things like the Oklahoma City bombing memorial which was sad, but interesting to see. And on the way back, we went a more northern route and saw the Mall of America and Mount Rushmore. So road trips can be lots of fun.

I tried to explain to her that others in our group had a card but I thought Lorealle said she would extend the Ent Rate to ALL of us regardless of if and when we produced a card to the front desk.

One thing Lorealle told me, and I remember posting it but it was like three threads ago, LOL, was that each person/room needed to have their own Ent card and be prepared to show it. She said they were really cracking down on that. And in fact, this was the first time I was actually asked to show my card.

I still don't know if I will receive a credit or not, and I did show my card. They said to just check my statement. So we'll see.

I hope it works out for everyone, and I do think that since the rates became available while we were there, and they saw that some of us had the Ent rate for Sunday, upon check out they could have said do you want the Ent rate for the other nights and asked to see the card again.
Not that they had to do that, because that would have meant less money for them, but to keep repeat customers it just would have been a nice thing to do.

Good Morning everyone and Happy St. Patrick's Day! I am having some serious Disneyland withdraws! I was only in the parks for 2 days during the DIS ladies weekend. Not enough! Actually only long enough to make me want it more!
I really want to take the family back in mid-May. I don't think it should be crowded but the ent. rate is not available at HOJO. In fact, when I try to check rooms on their website it says they are full? In the middle of the week in mid-May? Strange!
Anyhow, we shall see. Maybe I should just call them.
I have a road trip from California to Ohio to plan out for August and that is what I SHOULD be doing! But somehow planning 5 days (each way) of 8 hour car rides just isn't as fun!

I was looking for May 14-17 and NOTHING! My DD 20th b-day is May 14 so we of course have to go then.
