As far as the hotel/motel, if we have an on-site option, I'll go with that, if not, Hojo's is ok, I do like the premium rooms a lot better - I booked one (asked to be next to Cheryl on Floor 7) for the Oct mini-meet.

It doesn't matter to me. I did prefer last year's rooms to the ones we got this year. It was bigger and I liked having the extra sink outside.

I checked the first page and cannot find it. Can you link me to info on the April and October mini meets. I am especially looking forward to October since that is my birthday and usually those are lonely days with no hugs, gifts, cards, nothing so that is going to be my month finally.

Hmm...I am having a memory. There is some way to call in and give them the UPC code and they can look up the number and see if anyone has claimed the reward yet. If not, then they can give those to you. Can't remember where I saw that. So, if you have the box, it may not be too late! I probably have a ton of these but am too lazy to check it out.

Besides the HOJO and the onsite hotels, I would consider the Candy Cane Inn. It looks cute, bright, and cheerful. Plus people say it has a nice continental breakfast and a great private shuttle to/from DLR. However, they never seem to have great deals there for some reason.

That's where I would like to try.

Beth, I read the reviews on Trip Advisor - people love that Candy Cane Inn so I don't think they have to offer deals, as it's small. But one of the recent reviews said it was too far. I felt HoJo was as far as I wanted to be from the gates (but of course closer is better).

Yeah, they always get rave reviews. Hojo is a little closer but the CCI does have a shuttle so maybe that wouldn't be too bad.

I have stayed at the Candy Cane Inn. The rooms are lovely. The shuttle is every 30 minutes, so it could be convenient if you had a watch. Seemed I was always looking at a 28 minute wait, so just walked most of the time. It seems farther than HOJO, but really isn't too much so. No short cuts though, and we were at the back of CCI. Rooms are very small. I would not want to share with more than one other in that location.

Can I ask which room you were in? Was it a standard, deluxe or a premium?

When is that poll over with?

It ends on the 18th, so if you haven't voted anyone, there is time!! So far the Feb. 25 - March 2 dates are way in the lead.

The charms are made to slide. I couldn't even get mine on to slide though. I wish I could have. I bet it's really pretty!

It is weird (the tongue complaint), but considering how important it is, it must be awful. What about a topical numbing gel, like you get at the dentist/hygenist (just had my teeth cleaned today)?

It looks ok - the problem is they're sliding all over the place. I guess if I fill it with more sliders, it will be better. But yes, I love the mesh.

Last year, Dec I think, Disney came out with little 3" Mickeys. Designers came up with concepts for the paint. They're sold blind, so you don't know which one you are getting. You either love these or hate them, they are not typical happy Disney Mickeys. They can be a little twisted.

I'm a fan.

Kid Robot and other lines did this first. There is also a vinylmation pin line, but we think they made more of those because pins are easier to produce.
