How could I forget this.

Thankyou again for your thoughts and prayers for my Sister. I really appreciate it. :grouphug:
I thought it would be cool to find her a really sassy hat to help lift her spirits, and cover her head when she loses her hair. Or a really beautiful scarf. :thumbsup2

Or both :thumbsup2
I put you in my prayer request today at church
I'm starting to worry because my dad had thyroid cancer last year (surgery & radiation were successful), my uncle was diagnosed with colon cancer about 1-2 months ago, had surgery, and thankfully they were able to remove all of it and now my aunt is diagnosed with breast cancer:sad2: And they are all blood related. What's weird is that my grandparents did not have any cancer at all, my grandfather had and pretty much died of complications to diabetes (he was in his late 80s). So I guess this is "scaring me straight" to start exercising hard core and eat super healthy.

No complaints from me for Hojo's either. And I was very impressed by the way they handled my "rash" after the fact. But with that said, I wouldn't mind moving to another place. Close to the entrance would work for me. And if we could swing a great rate onsite, even better. As you know, I don't mind more peeps to a room. We did 5 last time. Doesn't bother me.

That'd be awesome if we could find a great AP rate for PP or even DL hotel for next year!

I roomed with Stacie (as well as Steph, Michelle, and Amy Sue) and rooming with five ladies isn't hard at all. Two or three of us would shower at night and the rest of us would shower in the morning. But then again none of us were doing any serious make up or hair primping. We were all about the parks!

Invite yourself all you want. The more the merrier. But I don't think we can do more than 5 to a room. That would be agains fire codes.

fire code, shmire code

I'm a bed hog too but otherwise like having a roommate. I don't know what the rates are but someone posted online they were happy at a Dl resort with a one bedroom suite that slept four that had two bathrooms.

But for planning ahead, Beth is right that we won't know the discounts until too late for most people on the DL resorts. I'm flexible about the hotel choice. I'm sooo type A, I'd like to reserve my hotel and work out the roommate situation now! :)

I'm cooking my corned beef today because DH won't be home for dinner on St. Patrick's day. I prefer to bake it with an inch of water in the pan but I think I started it kind of late - put it in around 2:45 and it's almost 3 lb. Would like to serve it at 5:30....?

What they don't know won't hurt them!

or us, for that matter.

My friends and I have done this but not at a Disney hotel. We went to the beach and three of us girls were squished in one double bed but in the other room 7 boys had to coordinate sleeping arrangements :lmao:

I'm with Beth--3 to a room is good for me. I was fine at Hojo, but would love to stay at PP or DLH if we could get a good rate as I have never gotten to do a MM since I have always had an AP!

Quick post!
On the cable channel 'WE', they are showing Disney weddings!! They are sooooooooo cool and beautiful. It started at 5:00pm my time!

Scarves can be really pretty. I had a coworker in the NICU with breast cancer, and on her first night back, we all wore scarves in her honor. Even the female babies got scarves. She cried and cried when she walked in and saw all of us. It was a fun night, and really provided great stress relief for the night. We were all so worried, it was nice to have something to laugh about. :)

I love how we are all into the planning once again! To think that I was worried that I'd miss you all after our trip. What was I thinking!?! :lmao: What a great group of Divas we are!

Heather

Hi ladies!

I skipped church again. I have not been to church for almost two months! I teach in the sunday school and I feel so bad. Between being sick, then Maddie being sick, then vacations---it just isn't working out for me on Sundays. My future sister in law had her bridal shower today. Well, as much as I did not want to miss another sunday of church, I felt i had to go because this is my future sister in law. KWIM? Anywho....talk about awkward...

There were some gifts that made me want to sear out my eyes with a hot knife. I mean, this is my brother we are talking about here. I don't want to know what she plans on doing with him on their wedding night or what she is going to wear. Gah...my mom was there too. I think she wanted to crawl under a rock. She also got some adult entertainment, if you kwim. Not that I am against any of that. I am down with being romantical...but I just don't want to think of my baby bro doing any of that.:crazy2:

Mel...I am sorry to hear about your sister. I hope that her chemo is successful and she will be able to say she is a survivor. :thumbsup2 She will continue to be in my prayers.

Heather! You poor thing! Is yogurt all you can eat? I'm in agreement with Beth, go get yourself a nice milkshake from Jack in the Box. They are sooo good! Feel better soon!

Steph---I hope you feel better, too!

I can't remember what else I wanted to say.

I don't do a lot of primping. I put on make up or I look scary :scared1:
then I have to straighten my hair...or its :scared1:

But other than that. I can get in out.

I bet the boys had interesting arrangements.

That is the best way to use that kind of news. I'm sorry about your aunt but the success rate is very high for b.c. You should tell your doctors and always keep up on your tests but know that this doesn't mean you will follow suit. Count up all your blood relatives who never got cancer!

And enjoy every day. More trips to DL! :cheer2:

That's how I am. I don't do what I would consider a lot of primping either. I put make up on to keep from scaring small children, and I do my hair to keep from scaring old men.

Wow you take all the fun out of it. The children are fun to scare. They run screaming to their Moms, and the old men turn all white and look like they are going to pass out. Good times.

Well, all the Best Westerns have the Entertainment Card rate, but I believe Trudi was mentioning the Best Western Park Place Inn - right at the crosswalk.

Yes, thats the one. I had forgotten the full name, but it was sure nice to just cross the street and be at our hotel. When you're tired the HoJo sure seemed far away !!

Yes we are, aren't we. And I'm glad that you are still hanging around. I thought that this trip was going to be your one and only to DL, so it's nice to see you haven't left us. :goodvibes

That was such a wonderful and kind thing you did for your co-worker. The best kind of medicine if you ask me!! :grouphug:

Or both :thumbsup2

Well it is always a good idea to eat healthy, and exercise. But please don't let this get to you. You are far too young.
I'm thankful so far, that your Dad and Uncle are doing good. I pray that for your Aunt too.

Thankyou January!

About your brother.......................Aw...........he's growing up too! But, I'd have to say, that those kinds of gifts are usually good just for the friends and close in age showers. Not usually showers that Moms go to! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Sorry you don't get them anymore.

We just happened to catch it, as my DH was looking for a good movie to watch. DH promptly fell asleep, and I was a happy camper! :goodvibes

Tonight was a special dinner.
Steak in olive oil fried up with scissors I cut strips of small red and yellow peppers and onions then slathered with Emeril's Italian herbs, pepper, and salt. I drained on paper towel and served with the strips on pepper and onion on top. Fried in olive oil potatos O'Brien with spices the when brown added left over canned corn. Two pans and pretty fancy but the house now smells of sweet onions, peppers, and spices. Rather nice.

that is my food porn for the night, lol.
