I live 3+ hours away and have a pass. I just made the SO Cal zipcode, although this year I upgraded to a Deluxe, cuz it made money sense.
AW...I hope he feels better real soon!Thanks everyone for all the well wishes for Ryan. Boy oh boy, he's been really sick all weekend. Poor guy stayed on the couch wrapped in a blanket all day Saturday. Then he was throwing up Sunday morning and stayed in bed all day. He didn't even play any video games while lying in bed. That's when you KNOW Ryan is sick! He didn't even want to talk at all.....and he wanted it very quiet because he said noise made his tummy sick. He's still sick, but I think he's getting better. He's home from school today, and I'm hoping he starts to make an upswing soon. I did manage to get a couple of popsicles and a little bit of a milkshake in him yesterday. Hopefully today he'll do better.
I wanted to requote on this, cuz it looks like I put a rotiflo smilie next to my comment. I didn't, and I think it showed up from someone else. I feel bad, cuz it makes it seem like I'm laughing. I'm not really guys!!!
Uh oh! I hope it doesn't make its way to your whole family!!!Well, just a bit ago we got a call from the school. Luke is sick too. Justin had to go pick him up, and he's now home looking pale as can be with a fever and a tummy ache.
He was perfectly fine this morning.....his usual happy, bouncing off the walls self. A couple hours later.....BAM! His kindergarten teacher said she was sick with it all weekend and that it hit her like a cement truck. Great.

Well since she hasn't responded yet, she is 24. A rather perfect age, don't you think?Wendy, how old are you? I have the two half brothers who are nice strapping lads (the older is 25 and around 6'4", the younger is around 23 and just a bit shorter) and live in Aptos...maybe I should try to convince them to meet us at DLR sometime.They both need nice girls in their lives! (though I'd need to make sure they have their acts together before they meet nice girls)

The car failed emissions, and so DH is getting it worked on now. Fun Fun!
I did have some fun doing internet shopping this morning though. I got the boys' Easter stuff, and I some clothes for Nathan. It's amazing how big he's getting. He's tall and skinny. I ended up getting him 4t tops and 2t shorts. Whatever works.
My mother is coming April 3rd for a week. I can't wait. I miss her so much. I need to find enough energy to clean though. I need to start today because I don't want Nathan's speech therapist reporting us tomorrow! DH has been trying to keep up, but it's not the same.

There's a little bobcat that lives around here, and is always walking down the sidewalk. Nathan loves her, and laughs and laughs when he sees her. I just hope we never run into her when we are out. Javalinas use our sidewalk for their pleasure also. It connects part of the golf course to a ravine on the other side. I'm beginning to wonder what would happen if I run into those also. I guess all the grass and trees right here attract them. I want to put a bird feeder out for Nathan, but worry it will attract them even more. We will see.

I forgot that not everyone here lives in the desert! The first time I saw one walk past the living room window, I thought..."That sure is an ugly dog!" It took a moment for it to register.

Kelly that is just too sad about your family's friends tragic death. I am so sorry, and please give my condolences to your Mom and Dad.Afternoon all. Well it has been yet another crazy day. I went in to work and I left a message for the detective but just like I figured they DON'T give a rip. I got NO call back and honestly don't expect to. I told Lynn a long time ago I hope NOTHING ever happens to her on one of her little jaunts because if it DOES NO ONE is going to look for her or help her because the police DON'T care!! I feel awful for that ONE girl out there that DOES get raped or murerdered because the police assume that ALL kids are runaways and will eventually come home. It is TRULY sad. I wanted to tell them what we found out and they don't even have the decency to return my calls.
The high school said she is no longer allowed back. She will now have to go to continuation IF and when she chooses to return. She has REALLY done a number on herself. She just keeps sitting on the computer all day. I would LOVE to know who is supporting her with NOTHING in return. Oh well I guess we will figure it out eventually.
But anyway there is nothing I can do but just wait and take care of the kids I have. Tomorrow I go see my psychiatrist and I am going to find out about family therapy for the girls and for us. I also took a picture of her to the girls school and told them I don't want her coming near them. So I guess that is all I can do for now.
Also the REALLY upsetting news of all is I found out that one of the familes on the plane crash in Montana is a family friend!
They released the names and the Ching family is the son of friends of my parents. We have known them for YEARS. The parents Bob and Phyllis were good friends of my parents and the dad Bob is an orthopedic surgeon and I know at least one son is also a surgeon and Brent, the son that was killed was a Dentist in Chico. They had two small children 5 and 3 and the wife was pregnant. I am SO devestated. I feel just AWFUL. When I read the names I just KNEW it was them and then did a search and saw a picture of Brent and Kristen and it made me sick to my stomach. Brent, Brian and their younger brother are all around my age and I used to play with them when I was a kid. I don't know if they will have a public funeral or not but I am just sick about this.
I know that the parents are still up in Montana but I told my dad I don't know if he should try to call or just send a card or wait to hear or what. I am just in shock really.
So so sad. I keep thinking about their family having to go in their empty house and just everything. And those babies. 3 and 5 and their grandparents losing their son, daughter in law and their grandkids. I am just so sad right now.
I also hope and pray that something happens real soon with Lynn. It must be so hard, living on the edge and wondering what in the world is going on with her. Please take care, and try to get some rest.
Of course, we don't let many men enter our world here on the boards unless they are children or an occasional spouse. 
Last I heard of one was him entangled in a grapefruit tree, a very big and 50+ year old grapefruit tree.
At least, I think that is still the plan.
