Well the place I got my swimsuit last year is right on the beach, and I loved the suit I got so much that I don't think I'll ever shop anywhere else for bathing suits again! But anyways, that doesn't help you at all.

Really, you can buy bathing suits anywhere in the spring, but I find little boutiques usually carry better stuff than department stores. I don't think there's a Sportchek in the states, but if there is, they carry really good bathing suits for competitive or regular swimming.

Price means nothing its quality, not the name brand. I had 3 different swim suits last year and my favorite, the one that lasted all summer and the was the cutest was from TArget for prolly around 20 (top + bottom). Being rude on the boards when looking for help won't get you any help.
Maybe you should speficy what your looking for exactly. What is apporiate (sp?) for your father to see you in, its not like your dad is checking you out.
And if you don't want something for 2$(you can't even by 1/4 of a suit for that at most palces) specify your price range, what stores you like etc.

I really have problems with people saying that.
It's ridiculous, Wal Mart can make quality clothes. Wal Mart has good prices. Maybe you don't particularly enjoy their clothing, but that doesn't make their clothes bad. It doesn't matter where your clothes come from or how much they cost really, but what matters is the person wearing it likes the clothing and feel good in it. Their clothing is every bit as normal as what you can get elsewhere, I've seen tons of kids who usually only shop at A&F and other stores like that show up in Wal Mart flats. And guess what? She's probably the best dressed girl around. You can pair a 400$ prom dress with some fake diamonds from Target or Wal Mart. Nobody cares if they're real or where they came from. Usually people only ask if they like it, and if they're asking to make fun of you, then they're not worth your time and they've got to grow up.
And, I'd also like to say, many people can't afford (this is not directed at ANYONE) or dislike paying more than 40$ for a bathing suit. I think it's ridiculous to pay more than 40. Why spend 80 dollars on a bathing suit you'll wear like for one summer (and maybe not use that much) and then the next yyear you'll turn around and buy a more expensive one.

Pac Sun. Pricey but worth it in my opinon. If your gonna pay money, atleast like it. Also you could get a cheap one at Target/Walmart. I dont know what kind of swim suit your looking for. A serious swim suit? Bikini? Tankini?
