Hey guys...
So I just booked a hair appt. for Saturday morning at a place I've never been to, so I need some help with a couple of things.

Most of you guys know how I look/know how my hair looks, so can you help me pick out a new haircut! I want to keep it long still, and I want side swept bangs (right now my bangs are just part of my hair--they're as long as my top layer) I don't really want alot of layering. Anyways, if you guys could post any pics of long hairstyles that you like/ would suite a round face PLS do! I would much appreciate :goodvibes

Also, I've never been to this place before so how can I make sure that they do what I want. I'm not very good at being assertive when it comes to hairdressers for some reason so do you guys have any tips?

As you can probably tell I'm kinda nervous--I havent had my hair cut in over a year! Any help would be REALLY appreciated.

Caitlin I think you'd look really cute with shorter hair! I, personally, think you'd look cute with something like this:

Long hair I can'tm help you with. I don't look the best in it so I don't really look at long hair. I can say tho that I love thick, long hair.

I'm the same way as you Caitlin. I cannot seem to tell them how I want my haircut. I don't know why it's such a problem for me! That's why I've had the same haircut for a few years which is just straight with no layers....I hate telling them what I want done with my hair. It's like a mental block or something!! Anyways, I'm probably the worst person to ask for hair advice though. I'd go to the site the previous person linked. I'd also definitely look through magazines or online for people with a face shape similar to yours and if you like their hair use that as a reference when you go in. Personally I would try to find hairstyles that I like and then take it in and try my very best to talk to the hairdresser about it and ask then how it could be modified to better fit my face.

I searched for hairstyles for round faces and found this site with kind of creepy looking models...it's probably similar to the previous link.

Thanks so much for the help ladies!!

I'm worried because the woman I talked to had a heavy spanish accent and didn't seem to speak english very well. so i hope i can communicate what i want to her/whoever is doing my hair. pray for me! lol

thanks for the sites, they're really helpful. And I like that length Sonya! I dunno if I could pull of a full fringe like that though! (or im just too chicken to try :P)

I kind of like something like this:

I like that length of hair and length of bangs, so I hope I can bring that and hopefully the stylist will be able to adapt it to my face. -fingers crossed-

Cait, you could def pull it off. Me, well "they" say I can but I dunno based off the model I just tried on.

Like you, I HATE LAYERS! OMG biggest pain in the put ever invented.

I hate layers too.
I can't do crap with my hair because of them.
My hair is plenty long and I still can't braid it.

I saw a picture of Cameron that looked similar to that on one of the sites I looked at. I thought it looked cute!

I couldn't do the bangs like Sonya showed. For one thing they would be driving me mad because I'd feel like they were in my eyes. Plus I just couldn't do it...it's too bold and too hard to hide if you get tired of it. If I were to get bangs again (haven't had them for almost 9 years), I would get them to the side like you want and in the picture you showed. They would be much easier to pin up or hide.

Yup, Layers=SO annoyinggg.
I haven't cut my hair in a yr + and my shortest layer is FINALLY long enough that I can braid my hair without things flying out all over the place.

I grew out all my layers. They annoyed me because when ever I tried to do anything with my hair random pieces would stick up or stick out...soo annoying.

Totally agree with you about the bangs. Last time I got my bangs cut I hated them and luckily they were long enough to pin up haha.

Straight bangs I like on myself, but you can't do much with them other than straighten them.

Side bangs I like, but mine are driving me nuts. Like I haven't cut my bangs in a year and they won't tuck behind my ear, they fall forwards.

i love layers, lol.
short choppy up top and a side fringe. if my fringe ever grows out. and if these layers ever get cut right.

I don't know how you look.:confused3

But, you could try looking in some magazines for ideas. Also, make sure the hairdresser is a good one. I went to a same salon, but a different haircutter. They were pretty new and cut there finger while cutting my hair. That scared me.:headache:
