Just a quick note as the connection is not so good. We have had such a happy time with our grandbabies. Tomorrow we go to my grandmothers, their great great grandmothers! Then we start for home, and will get there saturday night.

I think we'll end up with several mini TRs from this weekend since we are all sort of doing different things. Some are with family and some aren't. But we are all meeting for Jane's birthday!!

Hey all! I made a Disney cake last night that turned out great!!!! I will post a pic when I get a chance! Our Disney planning meeting with DSIL went well, though it was very loud due to the 6 kids we had playing around us! Crazyness! I only have a couple more loose ends to tie up and then the trip will be all planned! Hope everyone is having a great day!

You don't have to have your entertainment book or card to BOOK the room. You just need it when you check in. They don't ask for the number or anything. Just FYI. Sarah

Hi Beth! I am good, my work is just not very consistent. Some months I average 60-70 hours a week of active working. Others I barely have enough to do to take 4-6 hours a day (then I get to check the DisBoards). This is the main reason I have not succumb to the FaceBook.

Ugh! So I spent all day at the court house for jury duty. Spent all of it in the jury pool room. Only left for lunch. Feel like I wasted the day.

I just did a bout of Jury duty a couple weeks ago. Got called up to one, but they let me go pretty much straight away. I love Law & Order, so was kinda hoping to get called. But the strain it puts on the rest of your life is just crazy (my work says that you are to be working during breaks/lunches/etc when serving on a jury).

Hello! Just a quick drive by hi today! Tuesday and Thursday are the bar exam days. Been studying for the bar exam and other than stopping by and doing facebook here and there, I've been pretty consumed with studying and being a mommy. Trust me, that's enough. I wish I could catch up here, but it will have to wait. Hope everyone is fine and dandy, and those who aren't I'm sending hugs.
Good news, though, my MN is back on! I'm so excited! We leave early Sat. morning, Aug. 1. We're driving, so wish me luck!

Have a great Vegas weekend girls! I'm jealous (again!).

My tags are all from things that I've said on the thread. Last Fall/Winter, we had the best time teasing some of the girl's about the Monkey Bride in HM. That turned into a story about Elvis, and I acted scared.

We all told our children's birth stories and baby shower stories (or lack of baby shower stories) back in the spring. I opened my big mouth and talked about my uterus. The tag fairy even posted on our thread to heckle me about it.

We were talking about our style in the 80's and some even posted photos back in the spring. I brought up the shirts that changed color in the sun and/or with heat. I mentioned how mine became obscene due to the size of my 'girls' (my father wouldn't let me wear it in public), and the tag fairy felt the need to heckle me again. (Love you tag fairy, mean it!)

My hovering around quote is what I had placed under my name because Molly made the comment to me once that for being a black raincloud, I was awfully happy. The tag fairy just made it colorful for me!


That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I had the day off work yesterday, I had a doctor's appointment and an orthodontist appointment. I just took off work and made a day of it and went shopping too! I'm go glad today is Friday!

Courtney, do it tomorrow. Weekends are not always as easy I've found, esp when you need to book the ent rate.

I'm going to call on my lunch break today!

We saw it last week and I enjoyed it. I would see again. But, I have not read that book yet (I'm in the process of reading book 2) and I heard that a lot of the book was left out and most fans that read the book were kind of disappointed.

Aren't these mutually exclusive? I just got a Costco card for the first time (just to get new glasses -- Consumer Reports recommended them) and even at opening on a weekday it's a zoo.

Morning ladies! Happy Friday!

Well yesterday the girls and I just hung round the house and did chores although while I was in the living room Katy decided to play jr chef with her easy bake and made a HUGE mess in the kitchen. It took both me AND Lynn to clean it up. She had flour EVERYWHERE. It was at LEAST an inch tick all over the counter and down in the crevices of the drawers and cabinets beneath and then ALL over the floor which she had tried to clean up with the mop and then turned it into this paste! UGH! Kids. Everyone says they are messy when they are toddlers, I think not. They can make WAY bigger messes when they are this age I tell you!!

Anyway then last night was the swim team party. We got there pretty early which was good to a point because we got a seat in the shade but we had to wait FOREVER to eat which just reminded me even more how MISERABLE I am going to be on Tuesday when I can't eat all fippin day. UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO not looking forward to this AGAIN! Anyway then they did the awards and just like I thought the girls each just got their regular trophy. Neither one of them got the most improved or coaches award this year. But luckily I had prepared Katy and she did ok. I did feel bad for them though because they swam SO good and got NOTHING at champs. Our old team at least gave them kids ribbons for everything. They got medals for 1-3 and then ribbons for 4-20 that were really nice big ribbons. Then for 21 on down to the end they had this nice participation ribbons that at least said what place you got and your times etc so you knew. That way the kids had SOMETHING for what they swam. My girls swam 7 and 8 events respectively and got nothing for it and they did pretty good. In fact in their best strokes they came in 19th and 20th out of 100 swimmers but because of this stupid leagues rules you only get something for top 10. I don't know why they do it this way at this league cuz it is nice for the kids to have something for their accomplishments because even 19th place is pretty darn good out of 100 swimmers. But anyway last night over half of the kids had some kind of medal and I felt really bad for the girls but they took it really well so that was good. They just worked SO hard and I hate to feel like they are ignored on this team. Esp like when they never got to swim their best strokes the whole year until the last meet. I was ready to quit this team but Shane said no that we should leave it up to the girls. Then Katy was really upset at champs because she didn't make it into the top 10 and wanted to quit but I told her that there was NO way she was going to make it into the top 10 on this team. There was WAY too many swimmers that had been doing it longer and that swim year round etc. I told her that she is very good considering her level of skill but that at THIS point she can't compete. She needs more time to get to their level. So hopefully she gets better and eventually we may consider putting them in year round but I don't know if "I" am ready for that much committment LOL. 2 hours every morning and 3 every night? UGH! LOL

Anyway then at the very end they had a nice slide show and there weren't a ton of pics of the girls but a few cute ones so we went ahead and got it. I wish I could download some of the pics off it cuz there is a GREAT one of Katy doing the butterfly and a really cute one of Shelby being silly. But it is a slide show and not just pics and I don't know how to do that. But hopefully he is going to have just indiv pics on his website that we can download and then make prints of. So we shall see.

Anyway today I am off to work and then Shane is off either tonight or tomorrow to go camping. I don't know WHAT'S going on with Lynn although she supposedly went to that interview yesterday and then said she didn't want the job. I am wondering if she even really went cuz the timing didn't add up but whatever.

Next week starts vacation bible school so that will be fun for the girls and I have the house to myself for the week. Although I am NOT looking forward to Tues and Wed cuz of this stupid test. The only good thing I guess is my test is early wed morning so hopefully I can be done and over with and have the rest of the day free. I am hoping that I don't feel bad the rest of the day!

And then I can be free to finally get ready and think about my trip which is a week from next wed! Which by the way Thanks Cheryl for the thoughts!
