Donna - Yes, I made it on Peter Pan...it looks so new and fresh. There are not a lot of changes but the changes they made are nice.

I worked today just steps from Disneyland! I ran out of the hotel right at 5:00 to go to DTD and then to watch EP. I love that parade! I also bought the HM pocket watch for Bob's son's birthday. It is very cute. All of the HM pins are cute and it was hard to decide which one to get him but he really wants a real pocket watch and I thought maybe he'd like that one.

I have a convention the next two days at the Anaheim convention center.

WHEW so much going on I know I will forget something.

For the vegas gals, sounds like they are having fun but then I KNEW they would be!

Heather I am glad you liked the story. It was so sad and yet a nice story because of what Disney did for that family. And yes I cried as well!!

Capri I am glad that your dad is hanging in there. More prayers and hugs to you! Keep us updated!

Donna and Vicki I am so jealous that you guys are getting to go to DL so often. You lucky ducks! Sounds like you had fun!

As far as me I went in to work yesterday and it was a bit crazy. Mom's first day back after her trip and the girls were being crazy and it was just tough trying to get everything done and having them there. I will be glad (in that respect) when they are back to school. But otherwise I am enjoying having them home. Getting to sleep in and spending time with them is nice.

We had lunch yesterday and I asked my mom if she had told my dad yet about our trip to D.C. and sure enough not only had she NOT told him she told me she wasn't going to be able to go. GRRRRRRRR. I knew something like this was going to happen and SHE was supposed to be paying for it. I TOLD her I couldn't pay for another trip with everything going on between me saving for Feb and esp now that we decided to go in Oct and now with Shane's pay getting cut. So she says that she will buy Shane a ticket if he wanted to go in her place and she will pay for our room but we will have to pay for everything else. YEAH RIGHT. I was so angry and at first I told her just to cancel it but we have been discussing it all night and trying to think about where we could go and use the airline credits cuz the girls were just devestated. They have been SO looking forward to this trip since before school got out. I thought about the free dinning at DW but it is RIGHT before school starts and still a little more than we can afford right now.

So then we looked at going to North Carolina and then NY as we have friends there but now we are going back to the orig plan and we may still go to D.C. and just stay a few days and then take the train to NY and see our friends. It is still up in the air at this point. We are trying to figure out what we can afford etc.

Anyway then last night we went to swim and there was a huge screw up with the ribbons and some people got none and some got only a few like us. This seems to happen every year. Last meet Shelby got a 5th place ribbon when she was supposed to get a 3rd now THIS. I swear it is always something. One of the moms said she didn't care if she even got her ribbons but it is a big deal to the girls because that is how they measure their progress. It shows their times and they like to have them and they deserve them, they earned them!

Anyway today the girls and I are going shopping for our exchange and then just to swim tonight. So kick back day. Then tomorrow I have a doc apt and tomorrow night the girls have their team pics FINALLY for swim so no practice! Then nothing the rest of the week. I don't know yet what we are doing on the weekend but I am so looking forward to a nice break. Actually 2 weeks in a row. YAY!

Kelly--sorry for your trip getting messed up. Could you use the flight credit for your trips in Oct and Feb? Then maybe do a "local" trip with the girls to someplace like Tahoe?

Did anybody watch John and Kate last night? I've watched the show since it started. Their life is now just a big sad mess! I feel so bad for the kids, and I wish they'd just quit the show and get real jobs.

I bet Jon and Kate don't even need to work, they made so much dang money off that show! I totally feel bad for their kids, so sad. I wasn't surprised with their big announcement though.

Thanks Tina. I actually thought of that except I had already bought our tix for Oct and I only need one ticket for Feb and it is WAY cheaper to fly to OC from Sac so that wasn't going to work.

But anyway we have been talking it over like mad and I think we are going to do like I said. Just use the orig tix. Mom said she would buy Shane a ticket and still pay for the room and we just have to scrounge up money for our food while we are there. Luckily most of the museums and stuff in D.C. are free. And when we are in NY we can stay with our friends. So we will see how it all pans out.

I don't watch Jon and Kate but I have been hearing about all their mess and I agree it is really sad esp when SO many kids are involved. SOO sad!

Oh my, the hives took a turn for the worse today. I woke up and went to urgent care. The doctor said it wasn't from the spray tan and that it was something I ate. He said I'm not allergic to anything but it could be a fluke. The steroids I was on weren't the right ones and they gave me a shot and 2 different meds. Now it's all over my face and my forehead and chin are COVERED. I took pics but you don't want to see them... it's awful But I like to look on the bright side and think about my new wallet and purse that will be waiting for me in Santa Barbara!

Bridgette, the hives sound awful. Interesting that the doc knows it was something you ate. I have a friend who has problems like that once in a while and she can't link it to anything. But your case was so bad, it seems worth it to think about everything you ate so you could avoid this!

Kelly - DC does have a lot of free fun - it will be a good trip.

Courtney, (and Tina) I think you're right about the money they've made. And still they will be making more (some talk of a spin off - "The Divorce of Jon and Kate" <jk> (poor kids)

I am happy to report that the tattoos are just henna ones, not permanent! It appears from conversations yesterday that the highlight of the day was Dick's Last Resort. Ask Marcie about the 100 ounce margarita and a man named Taco...

Last night was dinner at BLT Burger, LOVE and Revolution. Dinner was nice and nearly everyone was there (Dawn didn't join us). Depending on your perspective, LOVE was good, interesting and or a disappointment. There were lots of different opinions in our group, obviously! Sadly there was a technical glitch after the second song that caused a 20 minute delay and it appears that they skipped one number before moving on with the show.

The delay definitely colored some people's opinions of the show, but all in all I thought it was good--although I am not sure that I actually understood 100% of what they were going for storywise and metaphorically. My favorite parts were Help! (rollerblading), Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (a woman performing aerial work on a scarf), Octopus's Garden (great aerial work and really cool puppets that were created by the same man who did a lot of the Lion King stuff and most recently created the new Flotsam and Jetsam and Dumbo puppets for Nightastic!), and of course All You Need is Love (the big goodbye number after the finale).

After the show we went to Revolution for 2 for 1 drinks. It was super crowded when we got there, and a "reserved" sign at one table may or may not have disappeared so that we could sit there! However, once the 9:30 show started the place totally cleared out and we virtually had it to ourselves. Beth, Stacielee and a few others were totally fascinated with the interactive features of the table that allowed them to use it kinda like a magnadoodle--they could draw, move things around, etc. Meanwhile Cheryl and I were totally transfixed with watching the other Divas play with the table, so I am not really sure which was worse! Around 10:15ish Amy and I both called it a night as we had to work today (stupid job gets in the way of having fun), so I am not sure what else happened.

Today Stacie(rita) and Cheryl are going to a spa, Deb is planning to just chill and I think the others are planning to hit Forum Shoppes, the Bellagio and Serendipity III before heading to Tony and Tina's Wedding tonight. Depending on how the day is going I may pop down to the Strip and join them for lunch. Otherwise Amy and I will both be catching up with Theresa and Beth for Ka tomorrow night.

Back from my exchange shopping! I think I got some really fun stuff! I sure hope my person likes it. I have my neuro apt downtown tomorrow so I probably won't get to the post office till Thursday but the girls and I had a fun time shopping and of course they had to get some little treats as well!

Things are pretty silly over here right now because we have the little cousins over for a sleepover. Tomorrow we are leaving early to see Kung Fu Panda at the theater for free! Then we'll either walk or take the bus home.

Hi all...sorry I haven't been on much lately...ditto to everyone as far as having fun in Vegas and bummer to MamaKate! Something even better will come along, I am sure.

My dd turned one today and I totally forgot it was her birthday till I got to work. I felt like such a bad mom I mean, I know she won't know the difference, but it just felt bad. How could I forget her birthday! I knew about it yesterday, why did I forget this morning!?!? We are having her party on Sunday at the park...I hope it is good weather!
