*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

Hi All. DH found out yesterday that they are closing his store...and get this. They are closing his store next monday! 1 week. Supposedly they are keeping him on to maintain the website but who knows what the pay will be or the hours. I am stunned but at the same time kind of excited. We have hated the hours he has had to put in and all of that for years. Now things will change and just maybe that will be for the better! We have family in the area and some savings plus he should be able to get unemployment if the web site thing doesn't work so we should be ok whatever happens.

I voted for Minnies, but I have never done Dinner at Goofy's, only breakfast, so I am looking forward to see what Goofy's have. I am also excited to get to look around the shops at the DLH.

It's a computer store. They sold computers and did service on computers. He has worked there since I met him over 9 years ago except for the one year we were in CA.

Just an update, Sarah's poll has closed and the winner is......

Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen!


So that will be the "official" group character meal for this trip. The vote was close (17 to 14) and I know some of you wanted Minnie's but hopefully everyone will be able to make the dinner and we'll have a fun time with a wonderful group of Divas.

I voted brunch, but that's ok. I'm sure my parents can be without me for a night. I don't want my dad to have to eat dinner alone, so I'll come on behalf of my mom and me!

My wires are always busting on me. It KILLLLZ! I would just pull that thing out and work with one chesticle being held.

I've never had one break, per se, but pop out the side and do some serious damage to my underarm. I agree with January, pull it out and hope no one notices you are lopsided. Or maybe you won't be?

Yay for Goofy's! I've had breakfast there three times and won't do it again (not that it was bad, just the been there-done that thing), but will be there for dinner.

Truly hate it when the underwire comes out or better off when it sets the alarm off at security in the airport. Have to explain that its my bra everytime. Love the extra support but not the pat down I end up gettin!

Just go to the bathroom with a pair of scissors and cut the other wire out and you will be back to even just a little lower lol!

Thanks, Dawn! Unfortunately, our house didn't sell. But we are leasing it out and then renting the house in Coupeville for now. Works for me!

I hate when that happens! It totally hurts. Usually for me the wire pops out, poking my sternum so I just ball up some tissue and cover the wire until I get home. You could also just tighten up the strap to level them out

It's a pretty slow night out here on the DIS. I guess the ladies must be out partying hard!

So I've pretty much settled that if I don't get a job before moving out or soon after I move out that I'm going to use some of my private loan money to buy my AP and pay for the girls' only trip. I know it's not "wise" use but I'm jotting it down under "Personal and Miscellaneous" costs because I will definitely need DL to keep my sanity!
