Girlfest 2006 fun for all

We are having the first ever Northern Michigan Girlfest at Disney Septmeber 28-Oct 3!!

We are leaving behind the following: husbands, children, worries, problems, and most of all our jobs!!! We are headed to Epcot for Food and Wine festival, MNSSHP, and lounging at the pool, getting mani and pedi's, and FREE food for the entire vacation..even though the free food ends in September, as long as your package starts while it is valid it will carry over until you check out!! How cool is that..5 ladies so far, the more the merrier!!
We've got the Disney ants in our pants!!

Ar you aware that the National Fantasy Fan Club (NFFC) will be having their first ever East Coast convention 9/29-10/1 at the Swan, including a large Show and Sale on Saturday.

As a Northern Michigan Guy (even if I am a troll-not the bad dis kind, rather, the name for anyone in Mi who "lives below the bridge"), let me wish you a Magical time!! Can I be an honorary Yooper? Went to school at LSSU! Where are you staying?

My sister and I will just miss your girlfest, we are having a girls only, NO children or husbands allowed trip.
We are very excited, our dates are Oct 10-17.

Okay, maybe more women for the (hopefully) women fest! I will be there with my baby sis (turning 40! Woo Hoo!), me (42, breast cancer survivor - 4 years! Woo Hoo!), and my eldest sis (47, Florida hurricane survivor 2005! Woo Hoo!). We will be there September 26 through October 3. No kids (this time), no husbands. Just us, preparing for the laughs. And we are expecting it to be a great time! I'm sure we'll see you there (though I don't know how I'll know you!!). It's strange how some people gravitate to the same things.

One of BBWfan's Girlfest fellow travelers signing in I've been part of the DIS Family for a number of years now and still "lurk" daily. Can hardly wait for September 28th to arrive. Have been to Disney too many times to count but always with my kids for my very recent ex-husband, (spent our 3 1/2 week honeymoon at WDW many years ago). I'm very excited about creating some new spouse-free memories of Disney with my galpals!

I am also one of the BBWfan and Deno2 fellow travelers. We can hardly wait to eat our way through Disney. Deno2 turned me on to the DIS last February when I planned a Disney vacation for 13! It's been very informative. I don't remember - how many days before we leave?

Well there will be a TON of ladies down at WDW that weekend. There is a "party" of about 60 already going. Check out the DisMeet board and the Dis Ladies Only thread. They are a very friendly bunch. Feel free to come over to say hi on the thread. If you're going to be in any of the parks at the same time...Just look for our Lanyards.

Our groups a bit younger but we have 8 going down Oct 8-14. Two adult women and 6 teenage girls. We've got a GV at SSR so we're looking forward to lots of pool time, lots of good eating (thank you DDP) and hopefully some great weather.
