You know the type ex. Ryan Seacrest, etc. Why have men started to become so feminine and suddenly feel the need for facials and eyebrow plucking.

How do you feel about it? It turns me off

Hey, my SO has an earring and he's not girly. I think he just secretly wishes he was a pirate.

I don't like feminine men as a rule. Or women who spend a lot of time being concerned with their looks either, for that matter.

I agree to an extent. I have known plenty of manly men who could have used a little more grooming without it lessening their manliness! There are lots of men out there who could use a little waxing and still be manly.

My DH gets his eyebrows trimmed with his haircut. And he tweezes in between. Trying to talk him into a wax(eyebrow), but he claims whimpiness.

After watching an episode of What Not to Wear last week he decided he should use something other than soap and water on his face. So we went to the store and he picked some stuff up.

Men can still be manly with a little grooming. I am trying to talk him into a manicure without the polish because he adjusts patients with those fingers/hands! I think I might get him one for Father's Day. Just from me. I'm sure he will be thrilled.

I think I'm quite manly enough even though I've been called a metrosexual. (Means I know the difference between lime green and kelly green, know how to cook something other than Kraft dinners and how to groom myself. ) I use facial cleanser instead of soap. I use fabric softener. And I too have an earring.

I believe the term for these "girly men" is Metrosexual.

It is a growing demographic, and is being persued and promoted by advertisers as a growing segment of the cosmetic/fashion industries.

I think it's just a plot to get our money. What man needs more than 3 pairs of shoes? Workboots, sneakers, and dress shoes to match every suit we own.

LOL....you ladies sound like my friend Jerry!!! Jerry is gay and his husband is a real manly-man (looks like the dad from American Chopper!). This just tells me that it takes all types.

I'm just glad the pressure to look good is finnaly being spead around some....now if we can just get to the point where the only expectation is natural beauty combined with good health. )

well i dont like "feminine men" persay. I dont like groomed guys to begin with. but i guess i dont like "manly men" either. To be honest I like grungy guys. but i do like guys that wear girl pants so i guess thats feminine. i like sensitive guys and usually the "manly men" arent like that.

Personally, I don't think that there is anything wrong with a man who wants to take care of himself. It does not mean that they are any less manly. There are some manly men out there that could use some pampering if you ask me.
