Yeah, I was scared of that too when I first started using tampons.
I usually wear pads, just cuz they are more abundant in my house. lol

I have a funny story from the first time I used a tampon!

I didn't want my mom to be in the bathroom with me while I put it in (that's kinda awkward, me with my undies around my ankles and my mom there telling me where to stick it. I don't care if she's my mom and she's seen it all before, it's still really weird.) So there I was, all ready to do it, but I had no idea how. So I'm reading this piece of paper that came in the box of "teen" sized tampons, my bare butt in the air, and I'm staring at the tampon thinking.."that goes WHERE?!" It had diagrams and everything.. I was horrified!

The first time I got one in, I was like YAY.
But then I was like oh right, I have school, I don't want to try to take this son of a gun out there.
So I freaked out, pulling on the string trying to get it out... twas painful, but it was probably because I was nervous.
Is it like hard to get out when it's absorbed like nothing or something?

I get scared that the string will break as I'm changing it...
Another reason why I usually just use pads.

It was painful.

Which is why I'm scared to death to use tampons!

I'm 15...and I've yet to try tampons. I want to but my mom is paranoid about them because she doesn't like them so she won't let me try them til I'm older. It sucks a lot. Luckily I haven't had any conflicts with IT. I'm just waiting for one where I actually need them! lol That kinda sounded weird. XD

Not really, you just need to relax.

I think so, cuz the bare cotton or whatever it is scrapes against it. But when it's been used, I guess it's....slippery...so it glides out.

Aww, tampons aren't that bad. I find them to be much more comfortable than pads.
I have yet to encounter a tampon horror story and I've been using them since I was 12!
