I'm a Yo-Yo'er, I lose it for a special event than once it's over I go right back to my bad ways. I just fell like I can't help it, I love the taste of food. Unfortunately theres not many thing I don't like to eat.
My weight can go from 125 to 170 in what seems like overnight. I was sitting at an altime high last Saturday 170lbs.

With the help of a doctor I've started another new way of eating plan, this time I'm going with the low fat plan. I've tired the Low Carb and gained the weight back plus some in no time at all.

I've been starting my day with breakfast: 1 cup of fat free yogurt, a fruit flavor, plus 8 oz of fresh fruit, 1 large cup of decaf tea with equal and no fat milk.

for lunch: I try to have a salad with 2 oz of chicken or turkey or tuna fish packed in water, 2 tbls of no fat dressing 1 serving of fruit and a cup of fat free yogurt. If I have to work and can't get in a salad then I have 1 piece of bread with my 2 oz of meat on it and some carrots and apple slices.
I drink plenty of water all day.

for dinner: I have 4 oz broiled orange rough, or baked chicken breast and serving of steamed rice white or brown or I could have a small baked potato and 8 ozs of steamed or raw veggies.
for dessert I have a serving of fresh fruit
I have a cup of sleepy time tea before bed.

Been following this for a week now and I've lost 8 lbs, I know most of it is water weight but it sure helps to keep me motivated.

It sounds like you've got a plan and it's working for you! Congratulations on losing 8 pounds!! I bet you're feeling lighter on your feet already!

There are people following every sort of plan here, so I'm sure you'll be able to get any help and advice you need about low-fat eating. I'm doing low-carb but I'm always happy to support and encourage anything that works!

Welcome to journaling! I find one of the most helpful tools in weight loss is having a solid eating plan and it looks like you have one. (I just need to stick to my eating plan myself.;) ) You have already lost 8 pounds. That is wonderful!:Pinkbounc A great motivator too. :teeth:

I was in the middle of posting what happened to me today when my computer went off line, lost the whole post. It's way past my bedtime but I'll be back tomorrow to check in with you all.

Again thank you, I hope you all have a great day tomorrow with many pounds and inches behind you. Oh!!!! LOL!!! I don't mean where you sit either.:teeth:

Welcome to WISH and congrats on your great 8 lbs-loss start!

I'm just the opposite - put on weight on a low-fat, low cal diet. I'm slowing losing on atkins. I've been a yo-yo all my adult life too and got really tired losing the weight and then having it return, with "friends".

Everyone's body is different. I'm so happy that your plan is working for you.

If you ever get discouraged - we're here for you...all of us. WISH is the best place for support.

Again thank you, you all are a great group here. You've made me feel very welcomed.

Laurie I glad you're doing good on the low carb. It's not for everyone, I tried it and lost but I didn't feel good the time I was doing it.

This week has been the hardest one for me. I've been working every day, I usually only work 1 or 2 days a week as a sub. mail carrier. That means I've been outside alot, I suffer from allergies of everything I think. I believe that this year has been the worst ever. Yesterday I came home feeling like a Mach Truck ran me down, aching all over.

DH has been taking pity on me and taking us out to dinner. I've tried hard to be good but being so tired from work I've not much cared.
Now it was not a total wash week I did manage to lose 1 lb.
I will give it my all next week.

33 more lbs to go, 5 months till Halloween cruise. This time I've got to keep it off thou, going on the Disney Magic, Aug 20, repo cruise from Calif. to Orlando.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday weekend.
 
thank You Wilderness01 i am feeling better today but yesterday was not a good day.
I wasn't the only one in my office, (USPS), sick 3 others came down with the flu like symptoms. We were starting to get worried :confused: but we are all feeling better now. Just a flu bug going around, thank goodness.
 
I am so sorry I've not posted here much, to much work and not enough time for the boards. Not enough time to exercise either.

But, I've been sitting on 15 lbs gone for over a week now. YES! YES! YES! I'll be happy if I get any 15lbs off by the end of October.



Bye-Bye 15 pounds.

I had a losted another 4 pounds since my last post. My goal is to be at 140 by Aug 28. I only had 11 pounds to go,,,, until yesterday. I was bad, we went to a pool party.
I had to work so I rushed to get finished as early as possible, I didn't take time for lunch. By the time we got to the party I was starving. There was tons of great food, everything looked so good. I loaded up on all the wrong things, heavy carbs, and yummy desserts, plus I had 2 glasses of wine.
I got on the scales this morning and saw a 3 1/2 pound gain. :eek:
Oh well! sometimes you've got to have a piggy out day.

Today is a new start.
My goal is to be at 140 by Aug 28.
