Gingerbread in the oven smells heavenly!

This is my first time making it. Hope it tastes as good as it smells.

Mmm, couldn't agree more! I made a batch last week and froze half of the dough. Well, all the cookies from the original batch are gone by now so I reckon I'll be using up the rest of the dough tonight!

Another smell I love and associate with Christmas is oranges and cloves. When I was little my mother used to push whole cloves into oranges to make patterns. We would then tie red ribbons around the oranges and hang them throughout the house - smelt gorgeous!
