Gin at UO

Strange thread I guess but does anyone recommend a good gin drink at UO and where? Gin is typically our go-to when we get an alcoholic beverage, well our fave at least. We had a nice gin raspberry iced tea at Finnegan’s recently but it got me thinking if there’s anywhere else that has a good drink that’s gin based.

Being that we spend most of our time in Strong Water Bar where most of our drinks are rum based, we haven`t had too many gin drinks at Universal.

However .......one of the barmen made us up a blood orange gin drink, it was called something like honeybees knees or similar.It had gin, blood orange juice, lemon, honey simple syrup..I think that was it.

We also had a Singapore Sling in NBC after asking the barman to make it up for us.....gin, Grand Marnier, Benedictine, cherry brandy, pineapple juice, bitters and fresh lime...I think that was it, and maybe club soda?

But, most bar staff will make anything up if you ask them.

Yeah - I dont recall many Gin drinks to be honest - more Rum and Bourbon - and of course the typical tequila and Vodka drinks for the most part- they can probably make anything you ask for though .

My absolute favourite is at Vivo: The Allegro - $14. Miller's Gin, lime juice, simple syrup, champagne.
