Ok...I saw this on FaceBook and wanted to get some from the "experts"! :thumbsup2 Give me your best magical moment at WDW that involved a CM. We have had many that involved us as well as ones that we watched happen to others, and I wanted a feel good Disney moment today. :) I can start:

We were there and watched as a special needs child in a wheelchair and her family approached the bus stop. She was all dressed like a princess and looked very excited for her day. When the bus arrived, the driver jumped off and ran to her and said: "You're late your majesty! We must get you to the castle. I know they are waiting for you!" The little girl just beamed while he loaded her wheelchair onto the bus. We were all smiling because we knew that she was having a magical time. When we arrived at MK, the driver again ran to her and said that he needed to hurry because they were all waiting for her at the castle and he didn't want to make her late. He helped her off the bus and they were on their way. It made our day to see that child's trip begin in such a magical way.

That is one of many stories for us....how about you guys? Want to share some Disney magic? pixiedust:pixiedust:

You just brought tears to my eyes....:lovestruc
What a special moment.

For my family it was being asked to be grand marshals at a MK parade. It was our first Disney vacation as DVC owners and made it that much more special.:goodvibes

This one isn't sweet like the first, but it still gives me tingles everytime I think about it. We went for Christmas last year. The bus was PACKED TIGHT at the end of the night, park closing. The bus driver (still so angry I didn't get his name in order to write a letter in about him) started singing Christmas caroles, and the ENTIRE bus was singing along. All the kids, all the grumpy dads...everyone. It was so great! I tell people that I feel Christmas-y at Disney than I do in my cold weather, snowy state!

Ours happened last week to my DS11: we were on our last day of our 8 day stay. He was looking for a hidden mickey pin, he must have asked a 100 cm's, but with no luck, none ever had it. We went to BNC to have dinner and there was a 45 minute wait. So, we went over to the gift shop at BCV. He asked the CM to see her pins, which she said "absolutely". He looked and said: "thanks, but you don't have the one I'm looking for". She then asked him which one, so he told her. She replied: "just a minute". She went to the back and brought out a board of pins and there it was! He was so excited. He was going to give her one, but she said: "no, you just take it". It's the little things like that, that make Disney such an awesome place.

My daughter was 2 1/2 years old on her first trip to disney. We were on Main street and I was holding her watching the fireworks when she put her two hands on my cheeks and turned my head so I was looking right into her eyes and she said "Mommy I lubba you". I was hooked by Disney right then and there

My best moment was on our honeymoon.

First, I'll start off by saying that I have a silky terrier named Jasper (well technically he's my parents dog since I no longer live there) who has an underbite. It's the cutest thing. So one time, when we were visiting Animal Kingdom a few years ago, we went over to the Affection Section where you could pet the goats. There was one that I loved because he reminded me of Jasper, since he had an obvious underbite...more than the other goats there. So I said to my friends "Look, it's Jasper!" One of the CM's happened to overhear me and said "His name is actually Jasper." I was so excited about that! So of course I had to take lots of pictures with him. Every trip after that, we would always ask for Jasper, and a CM would point him out for me.

On our honeymoon, I did the same as always, and asked again for Jasper. Unfortunately, a CM had to tell me that he was retired and no longer hangs out where people can pet him. He was getting older and was being taken care of behind the scenes. I mentioned to him that it's probably weird for a guest to ask for a specific goat, but I explained my story as to why I always look for Jasper. We were talking for awhile and about wedding/honeymoons (since he also mentioned that he was getting married later that year).

I guess he realized he liked my story, because he told me that he would take Jasper out just for me! He couldn't come out to the area for petting, but he had another CM go get him so I could see him and take pictures with him. And sure enough, it was the Jasper that I remember! I know it may not seem like a big deal, but it totally made my day! :)

This story brought a smile to my face and reminded me of a similar story. We were at WDW over spring break in, oh it had to be 1989. We were at EPCOT late one night and the monorail station was slammed with people leaving the park. The ramps were full all the way down and beyond. It took what was probably forever to get through the line and onto the monorail, but it didn't seem all that long. The Cast Members working the monorail that night had started singing Disney songs and the line joined right in.

Last week when I checked into BLT, CM Betty at the front desk without my asking gave us the 5th floor even numbered north tower room. I had a sv reservation so the 5th floor was the highest floor she could give me. I would have been happy with any room, but it's nice that she made the effort to give us the best room available.

We had been trying to adopt our kids for about a year and the issues we were having made it look as if we were not going to be able to keep the kids even though they had been in our house for a year. At the time they were only two and three years old. When the adoption was final we decided to celebrate with a trip to Disney. My son lived and breathed Buzz at the time. We tried to explain that Buzz may not be there the first day we went to the Magic Kingdom but we would find him later in the week.My son being the stubborn two year old he was had to dress in all his Buzz attire just in case. Well low and behold Buzz was at the entrance to Tomorrow Land only 5 minutes after our arrival. My son went up to him and was in awe. The CM that was with Buzz looked at my son and asked him where he had gotten all of his Buzz stuff. My son looked at him and said my new Mommy.I immediately burst into tears and everyone looked at me like I had lost my mind but to this day and he is 14 now we always get a picture with Buzz. Disney magic at its best making new memories for new families.

I think our magical moment happened 1 night at MK when we decided to ride Big Thunder Mt. during the fireworks (all 3 DD's favorite ride) and as soon as we go on the fireworks finale was happening and it was very cool. After we got off (DD's were very much into pin trading) there were CM supervisors wheeling carts and DD's asked to trade pins with them they pulled out a bunch of brand new cast member pins and gave them to the girls. Ironically they were the baseball series Tigger, winnie etc... and all three DD's play softball and DH and I have been coaching for years. It was perfect!

OK... that last one had me in tears.

My magical moment was just 3 weeks ago. My DM, DS and I were in Epcot. It was a really hot day and he wanted to wait on line to see Jasmine and Aladdin because "Aladdin is Daddy's favorite". Ok so we wait in the hot sun. We are the next people on line when he decides "No I don't want to see them, I'm scared" So I tell him in my not-so-nice-angry-Mommy-voice "We waited 35 min in this line so I am going to see Aladdin and get his autograph" My turn comes and I walk up to Aladdin and say "Matthew over there in the stroller is shy and doesn't want to come over, but will you sign his book?" Aladdin took Matthew's book, walked right out of his designated spot and over to my son's stroller. He took a long time interacting with him and just chatting. He didn't have to do this. He went out of his way to do a nice thing. My son wound up being thrilled. I had tears in my eyes. But I don't think the people behind me were to happy bc it was right at the end of the Meet N Greet. I hope no one got turned away bc of Aladdin's good deed!

And may I add that 10 min later my DS was NOT afraid to run right up to the 7 foot Beast and give him a hug!!!

We were staying in BLT for a week. My daughter had a piano recital the day after we were to get back home. As she was anxious, she inquired with BLT staff whether there was a piano she could simply practice a bit during our stay. The BLT staff found a piano at GF. The piano was kept locked but the concierge at the GF asked her when she wanted to practice and met her every day at the designated time to open the piano and then came back to lock it back up.
Obviously this is something that was not necessary but the CM went out of her way to help my daughter. We of course wrote a nice letter to the disney admin and the GF mananger commending them.
It's the little things they do to make the stay more pleasant.

For our January, 2010 trip we booked the Illuminations cruise as a birthday present for my mom. It was just our family on the pontoon (mom, dad, wife, daugther and me). Our exceptionally awesome boat captain let our daughter drive the boat. Out daugher was 3 1/2 at the time. While the rest of us were getting sick spinning in circles (:rotfl:) she was having the time of our life.

She now thinks she gets to drive every boat we get on. Not sure what that means when we board the Disney Dream next year :scared1:.

Either way, it was so cute to watch her get to drive the boat and chat it up with the captain who was a lot less concerned about how close we came to objects than we were.

Unfortunately, she was only a part-time cast member who worked full-time elsewhere. Best CM I've ever interacted with.

This is a memory from our first trip to WDW in 1988. Our DD Alyssa was 5 and Mickey had always been her favorite. We did the character breakfast at the Empress Lily, and Alyssa just quivered with excitement when Mickey came over. I fell in love with WDW at that moment. Alyssa doesn't really remember it, but I have the *Polaroid* (does anybody remember those?) to prove it!

And in November Alyssa is so excited that she'll be able to bring her daughter Abby to WDW as a *first* vacation. She's planning on buying her mouseears!

We were in Fantasyland at MK Thanksgiving week, let's just say it was busy. Anyway, my kids were loving their pin trading with CMs and asked a CM near Peter Pan's Flight if they could trade. She offered them one of the Magical Moments pins (probably not the official name). The kids were pleased but they already had one from a previous trip and knew they were special. So rather than take it they wanted to let another person have that moment.

The CM was so nice; she took our family to the front of the line at Peter Pan's Flight. The line was LONG -- over an hour; and we just hopped right on. That was so cool and the kids talked about it for quite some time.

Loving hearing the other stories!!
