Gifts To Rooms

Somewhere I read there was a company that delivered gifts to rooms before sailing does anyone have info on this?

there are also gifts available from DCL...you get a little brochure together with your travel documents...you order by phone in advance so that it's in your room when you get on the ship....
i ordered a gift for each of my kids and my husband and they were waiting for them when we got to the room....(with my messages on the attached cards)...
it added a nice touch....all 3 of them were very surpised as i hadn't even mentioned the possibility of getting gifts....they didn't know it was available....

I have used both the Perfect Gift and Magical Treasures!! The Perfect Gift is a wonderful shop that does superb work and personalizes each item selected. Shirley and her staff work with you to create "magic!"
The presentation of her Gift Baskets is just amazing!! We enjoyed her work so much, we ordered baskets for dear friends who sailed last month and they raved about them. As always, Shirley and Norman took a great deal of time with me to ensure that they selected the right things for MCazer, her DH and their delightful DD and DS.

Magical Treasures has some unique DCL merchandise but my only problem was that the gifts were laying on the bed in our stateroom in Disney Cruise Line Shopping Bags, stapled closed with a typewritten card. We cherish DH's Coffee Mug and DS loved his DCL Duffle. DD and I both received the pillowcase, storybook and cookies. All wonderful memories. We were just surprised by how they were presented - perhaps that has improved or perhaps it isn't a big deal with 99.9% of the population and we are weird.

Just my 2cents worth.

The DCL one is now called Gifts Ahoy and carry similar stuff that you can purchase at WDW but Shirley can customize a basket with anything you want. I am working with her right now to put together a basket for my DD who loves Tigger. I don't know when you are going but I am travelling in January and will let you know just how awsome it was. Also, Shirley was just named the official provider for the DIS.

what Ginny said is true, about the way it was left on the bed in just a bag with a card attached....
i think the next time i'll order from both DCL and the perfect gift...assuming DCL has something special (which it did when we sailed, although Barb said they've changed their selection)....

Well, gee - I'm beginning to feel <I>really</I> special! On my cruise in May, someone sent me several items that appeared to come from Magical Treasures. A Plush Ahoy Mickey was in front of the pillow on the bed, in clear wrap with a big ribbon and bow in DCL colors. In front of him was a DCL coffee mug, also in clear wrap with a ribbon and bow in DCL colors. <B>No bag with mine!</B> A Mickey pot of roses was placed on the table in front of the sofa. My one and only gripe was that a Mickey cheese board (the big Mickey cutting board with fruit and cheese) arrived immediately after I returned to my stateroom from eating a big lunch at Triton's. Aside from that - No complaints here! I have a feeling that the "presentation" of gifts through DCL is entirely up to the individual (a CM?) who delivers it. I gather the big problem now is that the new Gifts Ahoy is sorely lacking in exclusive DCL offerings. A DCL rep told me they have received many complaints about that and are working on changing the offerings in the near future.
