Has anyone used this service, especially for a child? I'm interested in hearing the details of your event (price too if you're willing to relive the sticker shock), and if your kids enjoyed it. Always looking to create some extra pixie dust on vacation. Thanks!!

I used them for a Tinker Bell scavenger hunt in Magic Kingdom. It was a few years ago, so I don't remember the actual price, but it was in the hundreds.
It was great though. We steered my daughter toward the wishing well where she "accidently" stumbled upon a note (laminated and fancy to keep as a souvenir) with her name on it - from Tinker Bell. It said that the Jonas Brothers had tried to meet up with her at the concert she went to, but she had left by the time they got to her seat ... Since Tinker Bell told them that we were going to Disney, they asked her to give Becky a gift from them. One note led to another and another .... All over the park. We finally got an autographed photo of them and then back at the resort there was a life size fathead of them waiting for her (these were purchased by me and sent to GOL) ...

I used them a few years back as a surprise for my husband. They planned a scavenger hunt for us around Epcot using our original baby, our german shepherd, as the theme. The clues each had a picture of our dog on them with personalized clues (such as my husband likes trains so they had us go to the train garden). Basically, you tell them a little about you and they will create the scenarios and send to you for approval. They will send you their ideas for free and then you can decide if you want to book with them. Everything was very professional and well planned. When we had a little trouble finding the next clue, someone was always discreetly on hand to give us a little nudge in the right direction. Overall, fabulous experience.

Years ago I did this for an adult friend. I thought my friend would enjoy shopping and getting whatever she wanted. So at HS, we were approached by a Gifts of Lifetime person who told my friend they were looking for people to do secret shopping and she was to purchase whatever she wanted with ...can't remember, but I think it was $100 in Disney Dollars. and then report back on her purchases and why she selected those things. Of course she jumped at the change to "participate in the survey" . We had fun shopping and then met back up with the lady. Talked about purchases for a few minutes and then she presented her with a big wrapped surprise ball, which took her awhile to unwrap and inside the ball was a glass swan and a note. (the swan had meaning to us) and that is when she realized I had set the whole thing up. While she was unwrapping the ball/gift, the GOLT person was taking photos.

Yes, it cost quit a bit, but it was fun to do once. And, the company is legit and dependable. I helped create the event myself, but they will provide ideas for you too.

The only draw back is that it does (or can) eat up a lot of park time.

What do you get for the price, aside from the scavenger hunt? Do you get a gift when you find the final clue? Very intrigued by this!

You buy a gift and send it to them to include. The price is for their coordination and development of clues for the scavenger hunt.

I was really on the fence with this last year and booked it as a surprise for my teen daughter and friend - who are both VERY SHY quiet girls. Well due to a mishap with communicaton between us and GOAL, the event didn't take place as planned. I confessed to the girls while at Disney what I had planned to do yet didn't work out and both girls were relieved it didn't work. I think for a small child it is believable or for an adult going along with it would be fun. But for teenage girls, could be dicey....
