I have requested and received information from Jane at "Gifts of a Lifetime", for a special event I would like to plan for our upcoming October trip. She has quoted several different options, and all events seem to be deviations of a scavenger hunt. The prices seem a bit high for what is offered, but I would like to see if anyone else has used her services, and if indeed you were happy with the event.

Thanks for your help-

I dealt directly with Jane for our November '01 trip. I wanted to leave a little gift from Mickey at our check-in for our 2 DS (at the time 7 and 2 1/2.) We worked with each other over many e-mails and her suggestions were very helpful. At check-in there were two gift bags waiting for my boys with their autograph books, pens, guest of honor badges and some Disney goodies! Each was addressed to them and signed by Mickey and friends. It was a wonderful surprise for them and helped make our trip begin on an extra-special note. Jane was wonderful and I highly recommend her! Good luck!!

I worked with Jane on a special Christmas Eve surprise for my friend and Jane was wonderful! We returned to the room after the Candlelight Processional to a Christmas Wonderland. Pixies had come and put up a tree with a multitude of presents and lights and pixie dust all over the place. It certainly was a special holiday and I would wholeheartedly recommend Jane and Gifts of a Lifetime. She's great! Yes, the price may seem a bit high, but you certainly get your monies worth.

Help!

I can't find the website for Gifts of a Lifetime!

Thanks in advance!

Lori

My mom arranged for a scavenger hunt type deal for my 17th birthday on July 16. It was WONDERFUL. It made my birthday one of the most memorable, if not the most memorable, I have ever had. The event was basically a scavenger hunt around Epcot, but they worked it into our already existing plans for those "legal" to drink around the world. It was a lot of fun for everyone, and Jane and her "crew" were so nice. :)

I ordered some personalized Guest of Honor badges for DW, myself and our two new wonderful DIS friends fro GoaL. The order process was simple, the badges came 1 week later and all names were spelled correctly. I'd use them again in the future for larger events - they were prompt and professional.

I have talked with Jane on the phone myself... she is one dynamic, creative woman and her pixies are terrific.. I am sure you will be happy with your experience..

Jane and "Gifts of a Lifetime" are terrific. She is so creative and has so many ideas and suggestions. I used them for my daughter's "39th" birthday in June 03. The price might seem high but with all the time and work she puts into the event it is well worth it. She even went shopping and got special pins for me. We planned it months in advance and everything turned out perfect (even though a bird flew off with one of the clues) and what a surprise for my daughter. She was Princess for the day. Crown and all. I won't go into detail of the scavenger hunt because I don't want to spoil it for anyone else but we started off with a special breakfast at the GF. They set up a special table outside right next to the water and you could see the castle in the background. A perfect place to start a scavenger hunt at the Magic Kingdom. At the end we got to meet Jane and her Pixie daughter. They are wonderful people. We laughed about the bird and took lots of pictures. If anyone finds a clue with a green ribbon attached, please let me know. :bounce: I am trying to think of another event I can use her for. It was so much fun and something we will never forget.

I have ordered merchandise from them and found there web site very easy to use. The merchandise was sent to me promptly, packed well and error free.
I have also corresponed with Jane via E-Mail, spoken to her on the phone, and met her at the re-hitch ceremony I surprised my DW with on our 29th anniversary trip this past May. She is a wonderful person, very professional and very freindly. Since it was only going to be me & DW on the trip I wanted someone tho take photos of the event for us to share with the rest of our family. I don't think I could have found a better person to do this for us. Thankyou Jane.

My DD's got together (the eldest was the chief conspirator) and planned a surprise for me during a family reunion vacation two years ago.

As you can see by my userid, I'm a big fan of Figment. My scavanger hunt took me all over the MK following clues that led me to little Figment souveniers left by Jane's Pixies. The scavanger hunt culminated with my riding Buzz Lightyear and when I got out, the Pixies were there waiting for me with a photo scrapbook of my children and a Minnie watch.

I cried from start to finish. It was one of the most precious and memorable times of my life. My DD did say it was expensive, but with the planning involved and the time they spent in the MK on the day of my hunt, I would say it was a bargain.

Jane went out of her way to plan an extra-special event for my MIL, who is blind. She planned the clues to be all sensory, some were by smell, some by sound, etc.

Highly recommend her!! It was a pleasure to meet her, and to work with her on this special event.

I have not ever personally used Jane's services, but I have to tell you all, I was involved in a very special DIS project last summer (we helped a terminal cancer patient bring her kids to WDW before she passed away). Jane was nothing short of PHENOMENAL to deal with. Not only is she an incredibly dynamic businesswoman, but she has a heart of gold. I would use her in a heartbeat, and will probably be planning something for my DS & DH for our trip in January.

Here's a copy of my trip report....

Getting Married at Disney World...

...with the help of Jane and the Pixies.

We arrive at our meeting place at the Polynesian Resort to find breakfast all laid out for us: fruit, muffins and pastries in the picnic hamper; champagne, orange juice and champagne glasses in the cooler; a dozen beautiful pink roses, de-thorned; a polaroid camera; and a card and magic wand.
The card is for Gene. He opens it to read...

He says, "Oooh, Baby," and gives me a naughty wink. Then he opens the card to read...

We break into peals of laughter and after a moment of consideration Gene waves the wand. Jane comes forward to perform the ceremony. We stand in the special spot, the Pixies take our picture and Jane says, "Oh no, you can't get married, you have to prove your love for each other."

Our task is to go to the Magic Kingdom and have out picture taken (kissing) at seven specific locations by 1:00 or I will turn into a pumpkin. But first, breakfast. We save most of the fruit and pastries for later, but we still have a bottle of champagne and it would be a shame to let that go to waste. The Mimosas are yummy and I'm happy to report that the champagne glasses made it all the way home intact.

Then it's off to the Magic Kingdom to accomplish our task.

Jane meets us at the Swiss Family Treehouse. We show her the proof of our love for each other. Jane gives us our Bride and Groom hats, and with a wave of her magic wand, performs the wedding ceremony.

We say our vows and Jane pronounces us, "Still Married."

She takes more pictures of us and gives us the roll of film. And we give her a rose.

As we were on our quest, we started giving roses to the people who took our picture. This was so much fun that after our event we went looking for people to share the roses. Gene pointed out an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair and I traded him a rose for a kiss on the cheek. Then we found a handicapped little boy who was at WDW through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We spent a few minutes talking with his parents and then gave them a rose. We left the Magic Kingdom with three roses and gave them away the next day. Both of us got so much joy out of sharing the roses that Gene suggested we buy some flowers on our next trip just so we can give them away.

And they lived happily ever after...

I used Gifts of a Lifetime once and they were wonderful. Ordered two gift baskets to be at the resort when my friend checked in with his two daughters. The girls loved them. Highly recommend Jane.

I have a Scavenger Hunt booked for August in the world showcase.

It is called "Simba's Confused summer" and will have my DD9 looking for Christmas ornaments on the hottest day of the year :p

My DD's name is Noel - Simba heard that Noel was coming to Disney and thought it meant Christmas... it's a cute plan that Jane came up with including the 1st clue and letter being delivered to the hotel

I am really looking forwad to surprising Noel with this hunt - I will let you all know how it goes in a trip report.

I can't say enough good things about Jane & her pixies!

My first experience using them surrounded a bad time in our lives - we had just gotten married in June, two days after finding out that my MIL's illness was, in fact, pancreatic cancer. Just a few days into our 2-week honeymoon in WDW, we were called home, as her health was rapidly declining. Needless to say, it wasn't a very happy time for us. A few months later, when we decided to try our honeymoon again, I wanted to somehow cheer DH up, if that was possible. I kept hearing about Gifts of a Lifetime, so I decided to email Jane, explaining the whole story. She responded with a lengthy message, suggesting a few things that would brighten his day, without being too over-the-top, considering what we were going through. Those were the best dollars I've ever spent.

THEN, last year we went back to the World to celebrate my 30th birthday. I knew DH was planning something, but I didn't know what! Well, on my big day, we came upon a bench with brightly decorated mouse ears that had my name on them. There was also a laminated paper announcing that this was to be my birthday celebration. Without going into too much detail, I was sent on a bit of an adventure before meeting up with hubby again to renew our wedding vows, disney-style, in front of the castle, with Jane as master of ceremonies. It was pure magic! I don't know what he paid for it, but whatever it was, it was well worth it - it's a memory I'll always cherish. In short, hire Jane & her pixies - they really do work magic!

We are staying at the Contemporary. I plan to get there very, very early August 15 for a pre-checkin. If I order Guest of Honor Badges for my daughter and three friends, how can I expect to receive them if they are delivered to the resort?

Thanks for posting this - I'm so glad to hear all these rave reviews... I had the website bookmarked but was unsure.

Can someone give me an idea of what you paid for the gift baskets you had delivered at checkin for children? Including GOH badges, autograph books, message from Mickey, etc.

Thanks!
