I am wanting to give my little princess she is 3 little gifts from Tinkerbell each day.. something really simple like the Walmart princess crayons that are 94 cents or the princess markers that are like $2-3.. etc...

Has anyone else did this and what did you leave and etc.. how did you leave it etc etc..

I thought about using glitter...

Thanks for any advice.. i just want to make our trip really magical but yet not leave expensive things.. just stuff to get her excited.. like stickers and such.. she is only 3 so it don't take much...

Have you checked out the link entitled The Fairy Godmailer? It's isted on Disney for Families. Dis-ers who will be at WDW before your trip will send your DD a postcard from her favorite character at WDW. Cheap and definitely a great surprise. And you can pay back your favor when you're down there on your trip. All for the cost of a postcard stamp!

yes! I am very excited about that as well.. I am so excited about the fairy GodMailer! That is the neatest thing I have heard about!!

I thought about surprising her with a neat basket of goodies... like princess and pooh fruit snacks.. goldfish goodie bags, rice krispies treats etc.. all like in a goodie basket that says Allison's princess treats.. like sprinkle pixie dust on them etc... I think she would be so excited... I am trying to think of other things I can get to put in there.. can you tell I am beyond excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read a tip on All Ears a few months back from a mother who left a special present from one of the Prinesses on their hotel bed. When they returned her dd found the present with a special note from Cinderella (or whoever it was). I'm planning to stop by the local Disney Store before we leave and pick up a gift from Cinderella. Not sure how I'm going to leave it out...maybe tell dh to take care of that while I take dd to the food court for breakfast. It will mean a lot to her though!

I think y'all have great ideas and are great mommies to do this for your littles ones.

I am of the thinking that a trip to Disney is special enough....and having 5 kids I would end up in the poor house giving "tinkerbell gifts".

Maybe someday I'll be able to do this magical treat.

We do the tinkerbelle gifts every year. The kids really look forward to them. I get Disney gift bags at the dollar store and use them to put the gifts in each night. I've gotten really cute Disney items from the dollar store including princess memo pads and erasers, Disney items from walmart and tons of Disney princess things from Claire's boutique and the lots of Disney stuff from Disney store sales. I keep my eye out all year long. Even the party stores will sometimes have Disney party favors (like bubbles) on sale. HTH.

DS LOVED Peter Pan and one night after seeing him have a horrible day I wrote a note on the computer from Tink - I found some Disney Clip Art and put Tink pictures all over a piece of paper and just wrote him a note saying how Peter heard that things aren't going so well and that she was assigned to check up on him at night and she would kiss him while he slept and make sure he had good dreams

so periodically I've repeated that over the years - and sometimes leave a small gift

I actually think that he prefers the notes! He's 6 now and I don't know how long I can keep up the charade - but Tink has come in so handy as a special friend for him.

When we bought the house we've lived in for about a year - I had a treasure hunt in each room with notes from Tink - "go to the room that will be mommy and daddy's room" etc - he loved that tink was able to find him in his new house!

Good luck and have fun!

that is such a great idea to shop all year! I will have to remember that.. I am coming so close to leaving soon now that I just look for dirt cheap stuff.. I can't wait though...

to the mom with 5 kids...

you could just leave a note from Tinkerbell with glitter sprinkled everywhere saying have a great trip etc..... that would be magical itself... have fun! It must be neat to have such a big family!!!

Just thought I'd give us a bump to the top just in case someone has any great ideas! Someone on another thread suggested taking Disney fruit snacks so I thought that's another cute idea for a tinkerbell gift!

I bought a rubber duckie for 97 cents at Wal-Mart this week. Starting to add to the gift. I think our gift may come from Pooh & Piglet. dd is talking mostly about seeing them! I thought the rubber duckie would be cool because she was afraid to take a bath in February at the hotel. So maybe the rubber duckie from Pooh would help.

Still haven't decided how I'm going to get it into the room for her to find it :goodvibes

I love the rubber duck idea! We are packing a seperate suitecase just for her goodies... just an idea.

Ok, I have boys and they just don't get as excited as girls. So does anyone have any good ideas for little gifts to get them excited. We did the postcard thing and the 4 yr. old was sooo excited and the 7 yr old said Right Mom just like Sant Claus ( i thought he still believed, i do ) so it will take ALOT if anything for him. But I can have fun with the little one. Any ideas ??? Leaving in 5 LLLOOONNNGGG Days !!! ::MickeyMo

I love the note idea. I have five kids and I can personalize each one with their favorites. I've also been picking little things up from the buck store to give to them as gifts from Tink. I was thinking about doing it after they were asleep, sprinkle some sparkles on them and leave them a little note and present. I don't think my ds, 13, would be to fond of the sparkles though.

I found a set of Pooh playing cards at Toys R Us for $3. So I think I'm all set! I have a pooh gift bag, the rubber ducky, and cards. I don't want go overboard :flower: So I only spent $5.

Here is the letter I wrote:

We are so happy you are visiting us at Disney World.

We hope you enjoy the surprise presents. Here is a rubber ducky to use in the tub at the hotel. And our favorite cards to play with while you wait to ride the Honey Pots.

We hope you have a great time!!! And we’ll see you on Friday for lunch!

Hugs and Kisses,
Pooh and Piglet

I do this for all 3 of my kids...I just buy the Disney chocolate coins (usually while at DTD our first day, but you can also get them at The Disney Store) and I leave one on each pillow with a note from Tink. So cheap yet sooo much magic (even for 6 yo DS).

And I even do this at home. Our first night back from WDW I always leave a chocolate coin with a note from Tink saying how much she loved having us visit her and she can't wait for us to come back. Then, every once in a while (maybe once a month or so, but not on any schedule) Tink makes a surprise visit to our house and leaves some chocloate coins. DH hates it when I do this b/c the kids get so hyped up and excited that Tink was there that they can't go to sleep...LOL...and that's without even eating the chocolate!

1st, I signed up for the "Fairy Godmailer" list, bless your heart whoever started this idea, it's GREAT!

2nd, night before we go (Tink can fly afterall! ;) ) we are staying in a hotel to be close to airport, early flight.. Anyway while the kids are swimming at hotel pool, "Tink" will have magically left gift #1.. It will be a pair of sunglasses with each of their favorite Disney princess & Guest of Honor badges with their names.

Gift #2 (1st night in Disney) a note from "Fairy Godmother" requesting the honour of their presence at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast the next morning.

Gift #3 (2nd night of Disney) a Cinderella notebook/journal so they can record their thoughts on the trip (of course for my 3 yr old I'll have to write for her)

Gift #4-6 are little trinkets we picked up, like Princess Jacks & Mickey stickers, etc..

This is so much fun, I'm almost as excited to do this as I am for visiting the parks.

Pixie Dust to everyone! :wizard:
