Gifts for parents!

Any ideas about what we should get our parents?? I really want it to be sentimental but I am out of ideas right now...good thing I have a whole year to think hehe! I still have both parents and my finace only has his mom.

We are giving our parents "Parents" albums w/ professional pics from the wedding! Also, I got my mom a pendant with a small heart inside a larger heart. I got it at bluenile online (I'm not able to put the whole address, but you know how to get there! )

My best friend got her parents engraved wine glasses and a really nice (ie:expensive) bottle of wine...cousin got the parents gift certs for a weekend away at a bed and breakfast...stuff like that!

Thanks for the help missyprissy! Did you wait to give your parents their gift until after the wedding? Did you give them anything at the rehersal dinner?

I don't know what your budget is but as you are getting married at DLR it might be sentimental. You could purchase one of the bricks in the Espland (sp?) betweeen DCA and DL with your parents wedding adte on it. We bougt one for ourselves with our wedding date and it looks really nice. They come with either an acrylic or wooden replica which if you order it early enough can be presented to them at your rehearsal. Just an idea.

-personalized hankies (i got ours from newtraditionshankies.com)
-picture frames with a photo inside
-time together, an afternoon at the spa, a special dinner together during your trip
-jewelry or cufflinks (we got our moms pendants that opened up & had our photo inside)
-something personal that they enjoy or collect
-photo blanket/pillow (i made my aunts who were readers photo pillows similiar to the ones on personalcreations.com except they matched their home decor)
-handwritten thank you note
