We are taking a family trip to WDW in October :moped: and wanted to surprise my inlaws with gifts from their only grandchildren - they are staying at the same resort as us and coming just to watch their grandkids in the park. They are very, very generous people and have given us alot - emotionally, financially, and with their time. I wanted to surprise them with some small things in their room when they get there and wanted it to be granparent "themed" So far all I have found is a pillow that says "grandma is the heart of our family" or something like that. Anyone have some ideas that would be good for grandma & grandpa and do you think mousekeeping/hotel would put into there room on check in day? or what would be best method for presentation with surprising them?

Grandparents love gifts that kids make!!
If possible, grab a couple of t-shirts, some fabric markers (WALMART) and have them draw a shirt for the trip. It can be grandma with Mickey or just a favorite picture. Have them write their name or doodle if too little to show they did it. Acrylic paints work great for handprints, too and do not wash off. I found these gifts over the years have been my parents favorite ones. My dad still wears the one my DD did when she was 2. She is now 11. Just a thought. You could mail it and have them put it in the rooms or have your kids give it to them when you first see them. Let them decorate tissue paper to wrap it up in. Kids love this and so do the grandparents. Whatever you decide, the thought will make their day!!!!!! :flower: Enjoy your trip! :sunny:

The most wonderful gift is a note written by your children and your selves to them thanking them for giving your children such a wonderful memory of them spending time with your children at the most magical place on earth. When your vaca is done a small little memory book with pics and little journal entries of what each ment to them. They sound like the most wonderful people. Cherish them for you are very lucky, more then you know. I did this same thing for my parents after they had rented a house for all of the extended family. My kids and their cousins still remember it and take out the memory book and talk about it. My dad has recently been determined to have a terminal illness and we are not sure we can do it again this year. Have a wonderful time on your vaca.
