Hi I am new here on this forum.

I don't know if this topic has been discussed and butchered to death several times, but can we give any kind of gifts to to a Disney character for instance such as Belle a 4,000 piece Lego Disney Castle for her to fit as the centerpiece on her bookshelf that she may have on her castle?

or if it is over a certain amount of money where the cast members would tell her to toss that out and donate it charity to begin with?

I mean, I am trying to put some thought into this idea I have, not to be a troublesome guest, etc.... of some kind.

Thanks for reading my long question. By the way, I try asking this question on Disneyland FB and they say that Cast Members are NOT allowed to take gifts or cash from visitors, so I guess they confused me saying that Cast Members are part of Disney Characters as well, so I was thrown off by that.

Anyone can answer the dilemma to my questions on this site about my outrageous ideas I would gladly appreciated your advice and expertise.

Welcome! Characters are cast members so you received the correct information from the Facebook group. Maybe I am not understanding your question and someone else will have a different answer for you.

Well, what I was trying to ask is that with the exceptions of the cast members who are not characters, do the face characters like Belle as for an example accept gifts, because I have seen a lot of people post of themselves doing it on youtube. That is what I would like to know firsthand and if so can you give whatever you want to begin with such as that 4,000 Lego Disney Castle as an example to begin with. I thought it was just highly appropriate, that is all I am trying to ask and I hope I am not confusing you in whatever manners possible.

How would you get that through security?
My guess would be not allowed and inappropriate.

Def dont give her that and def dont hug her.

Cast members are not allowed cash or gift cards - If the reason for the gift is that a child ( or adult ) has an affection or identifies with that character the best idea is a short personalized note and maybe something homemade, like a friendship bracelet or something like that. A 4000 piece Lego set is definitely would be outside the realm of what is appropriate.

Hmmph....... Yikes!!!!!! I see now for slowly clearing up my dilemma. I thought it was no foul harm and was just following the rules. That is all. Sorry, I had no idea that was highly inappropriate. Not trying to bribe any characters here to begin with.

Look, I had zero idea about these weird and somewhat draconian rules IMHO regarding Disney characters to begin with. I am the type of guy who does everything by the book and add in a few more ideas to make things even better. Honestly IMHO, I treat these characters like royalty, like kings and queens and VIP guests to begin with. Believe it or not, they are also human beings as well and as a result, they get all sorts of abuse from the general public lately. You probably know them better than I do.

Anyway, all I am trying so hard to do is to see the flip side of the coin in order to offer them something different aside form all the usual cutsy stuff from kids like drawings, letters, etc..... What else can you name for me? I am not doing this because I want to ask them (i.e: in this case Belle out), or exchange any kind of special favors in return. I am doing this because I know she is a bookworm nerd and in her realm, she has a huge bookshelf somewhere in her castle that she may as well be living in. So to this end, I thought that it might look good as the centerpiece on there. That is all.

These days, most people, although not all, come here don't the core values of Disney again IMHO because they do it to serve their own pathetic selves. Just look at the recent incident and brawl at Toon Town that happened not too long again. It is both despicable and appalling for anyone including myself to continue see this kind of recurring behavior in public. We often live in this society without any sense of shame or even remorse for our own senseless moral compass and inane behavior. Sadly it is becoming a common place in this day in age. Now if I can't do that, than I don't know what I am doing in terms of public service.

I mean, If Walter Elias Disney, the founder and creator of Disney was still alive today, what would he have wanted you to do for him and his characters? Would he have wanted you to do the same as well in return? Even if it means that you wouldn't take a no from him because your excuse deep down means it is impossible or couldn't be done, I don't feel like doing this because I am lazy and but you still would reluctantly do whatever it takes to do so in the bitter end? Would you still be up to it? If it were me, I still damn well do it, otherwise I considered myself NOT entitled to here for that matter is concern. IMHO, he wouldn't be happy and nobody else on the same page with him would be happy either.

To this end, it is not my home, but it is his former home, both Disney world and Disneyland much like a US historical site for that matter is concerned, so it is not just a amusement park that you get have the right to freeload and trash the place as if it is yours and do whatever you want.

Anyway, just my two cents on this moral dilemma. I put a lot of my time and thought into writing this post up and I felt that my voice nor my point of view isn't well received from time to time. I am going to throw in the towel on this frivolous subject and reluctantly close this intellectual moral case. I am done and I am out of here. Good night to you all!!!!!

I think a kind letter letting you know that you appreciate Belle goes a lot further than a $350 Lego set. It is more heartfelt than expensive plastic, and only childish if you make it so. I would prefer that if I were Belle.

And hair flipping because you didn't get the response you want.....:sad2:
