Giftcards @ Starbucks

Just a quick question! We have a couple of Starbucks gift cards and we were wondering if we could use them at the Disney Starbucks? Not sure if they only accept Disney gift cards or if it can be regular gift cards as well. If you know the answer, we'd love to hear! Thanks so much!

They definitely work at the Downtown Disney location. It is just like any other Starbucks location. I don't believe that you can use them at the Starbucks in the parks because those are similar to other restaurants in the parks. At those locations, you can charge purchase to room if staying onsite and apply AP discounts.

You can use Starbucks giftcards at the ones in the parks, and earn those stars. And I'm 99.99 percent sure that we used our apps at the one in DCA, too; they pulled the scanner out to use it, it wasn't right out there on the counter like at a more normal store.

Not in the park; you can use your Starbucks card to pay but no to redeem rewards. It is similar to going to the Starbucks in a store like Safeway or Target, etc. where you can earn stars, and use the card but not redeem the rewards.

the DTD one though you should be able to; we will be testing that this Aug when we go.

I received a Starbucks gift card and I was able to use it in DCA with no problem.

As others have said, you can use a Starbuck gift card to pay for items at the two Starbucks locations inside the parks. I've used my phone app at both locations without any problems. You can earn stars, but you cannot redeem rewards. A side note, but if you are an AP holder, you can get your AP discount at the two Starbucks locations inside the parks as well.

1. Can you use your gold card to redeem Starbuck's rewards, like free drinks, at the Downtown Disney location?

2. Can you purchase drinks with a Disney gift card at Starbucks INSIDE the parks?

Answer to question #1: Yes, your gold card freebies can be redeemed at the DtD location. The DtD location is Starbucks owned and run, so it works just like a regular Starbucks. The only difference that I've noticed is that the DtD Starbucks does not sell bottled water (per their contract with Disney), but they do sell refillable plastic water bottles and they have a spigot with filtered water for customer use.

My sister has a card she got in Montreal and it has never worked in the US. But you could buy a card at the DTD store, they sell LA, OC, and a few other CA designed cards. And Vegas too. You should be able to use the app, there's WiFi at the DTD store. But the app will have to have a US card on it.

I've noticed that they also don't sell Fizzio drinks, probably because Disney tells sodas.

You can use canadian starbucks cards in the states, they use a daily exchange rate that automatically comes off your card.

Just an fyi...you DO NOT earn stars at the two park locations, but you do at the DTD one! I was just there a few weeks ago and checked my app just now and I did not earn stars for the purchases I made each day in the parks, but did when I used it in DTD.

Are you sure the card was registered? If the purchases show up online or in the app in your history, email Starbucks and ask for your stars. They're really responsive when purchases don't convert to stars.

Oh yes, my card is registered! You don't earn stars at certain SB locations, in the parks, Target, Safeway, etc... Only stores. I was in DL in March and also did not receive stars for the two park purchases. But received them for the purchases I made at Starbucks on my way down to Anaheim and back home!

We were at the parks from August 1-7. DH's app shows that he received a star for his purchase in the Market House Starbucks on 8/5 and another for his purchase in Fiddler, Fifer, and Practical on 8/6.
