So, you know Tom.
No, not anyone on here. The guy I am 'going out' with, hah. Well, last night at the school dance, for a Christmas present, he gave me two pairs of earrings.
He MADE them. I like them, alot. And their blue, and I love blue. :)

But, the problem is, my ears aren't pierced.

They were, but they closed up.
And there is no way in the world my parents will let me pierce them a fifth time.
I don't want to hurt his feelings by not wearing them, but I don't want to beg my parents. And I REALLY don't want to lie to him, because I like him, alot. :(

Help. Please. :(

Honestly, Cass, I'd go with telling the truth.

If you explain to him that you really, REALLY love the earrings, and the thought, but that your ears have closed up, I'm sure he'll understand.

Honesty is the best policy :)

The thought is what counts, especially since he made them for you, with your favorite color. Maybe you could make them into clips? I'm sure thats not that hard to do.

Maybe you could put them on a necklace somehow.
That happened to me once--I had a ring from my BF and I smashed my hand on a door and it got all bent & I couldnt get it on my finger anymore, so I just explained what happened and put it on a necklace.
So maybe somehow you could alter it so that it could be attached to a necklace? THat's a really sweet gift too!!

I think those two ideas are great.
Telling him the truth would be best, then you mentioned he made them himself, so maybe you could make them into a necklace together.

:)

Oh, yes.
I kinda left something out.

Everytime after I got my ears pierced, the only earrings I could wear is the one pair they pierced them with.

It's weird. I've tried a few different pairs before, but they just left my ears red, itchy, and in pain.

My dad thinks I'm allergic, and that's one of the reasons he won't let me pierce them again.

I think I'm a bit stupid when it comes to this subject. :lmao:

Like others have said, tell him your ears aren't pierced (maybe say you might be allergic to some metals), but you love the gift. Then find a way to make it into a necklace or bracelet.

you're allergic to some metals, and your body rejects piercings. my mom is the same way.

tell him that, but tell him that you really love them. then put them on a necklace or something.

When you say after, do you mean like a week after?
Because if you're not cleaning them properly for the, I think it's 6 full weeks, they will get red and itchy.
And some earrings, like from stores like say Claire's are made with the cheap metal and eventually it'll kind of wear away and it's not good for your ears. My ears are almost always irritated because of the cheap earrings I own lol.

But I think it's very sweet of him to make you those =)

U can buy things from cheap jewellry stores (in aus at least..) That can make any earrings into clip on earrings.
There not the most subtle things though..

just be honest. honesty's the key. I'm sure he'll be fine with it.
