Gift Ideas? (Teacher/Secretary)

I posted this over on the Budget Board, but it didn't generate much response. I was hoping some of you here with children or those that are teachers or work in a school could help.

Hi all, I thought if anyone can help generate some awesome ideas, it'd be the DIS.



My good friend (and current co-worker) is moving on and going towards a career that fits her overall life-plan. She will be starting with the school department in at least a week's time. She will be a secretary at a middle school, and it will get her foot through the door.

I'm sad to see her go, we've become really close friends, but I'm happy that she will be getting into an area she wants to have a future in (she wants to eventually be a guidance counselor).

Anyway, I'd like to get her something for her desk, and since I know that teachers / assistants / etc. in school systems usually have to supply their own extras, I was wondering if anyone here had some ideas of a gift that would be especially appreciated?

Post it notes....pens...pencils...tablet...paper clips...staple less stapler etc.
and put everyting in a little basket or paper holder.

HOw about a nice pen engraved with her name on it. You can get some really nice one's at THings Remembered pretty reasonably priced. or how about a name plate for her desk!

Awesome ideas, I'm thinking of putting a little basket together of notepad, post-it etc.
