Help!! I bumped into an old friend from college at the gym this A.M. Haven't seen her in years. She's having a casual get-together tonight, and it's also her DS's bday, either 20 or 21. Don't have a clue what to get him, and I don't know him or what he's interested in. He does go to West Point. EEEK!

I'm 28, I'd be thrilled with gas cards, target cards, or even Walmart.

I am in a similar quandry, my old friend is about 30 and is a well paid artist who does favors for me all year long in the form of graphic design. I owe him something for all the help he's given me but I can't afford his going rate and we know that. Giving him cash would be an insult, IMO.

I ended up getting him a gift card at EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports). Thanks for the replies!!! (Except for the daughter one, LOL)
