DIS friends I need your help! I am having trouble coming up with a Christmas gift idea for my new BIL. I would like to keep it under $40. I don't really know him as he and my sister live in another part of the country. I do know that he is the type of person who says he will never go to Disney World (I know, :scared1:) and his only interests seem to be Howard Stern, the Yankees and poker. The other men on our list have always been easy to shop for with varied interests and hobbies. I am at a loss on this one!

My sister hasn't been much help with ideas, so I thought maybe someone could help me come up with a great gift. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I just received my order from JCPenny.com. I got all the guys in my family an automobile coin holder/sorter. It fits in the car's cup holder and when the change goes in it records it on a read-out. They come in red, blue and clear. Got one for DH for his birthday and he loves it! And when you take out coins, you can push the buttons to deduct the amout. They are $9.99, and Penny's does have them in-store. Check their website for locations near you. Then I am adding a $10 GC to bring up the amount!

What about something for the two of them?
Movie or dining gift cards?

Well since you said he was a Howard Stern fan. . .how about the Artie Lange's Beer League movie? You could add a Yankees or an I <3 Howard Stern t-shirt and I think that would be good.

Does he drink beer? I always get my BIL one of those gift sets of Beers From
Around The World. He loves it and it doesn't cost me much.

Maybe a subscription to a magazine? There has to be a poker one out there somewhere.

I am in the exact same boat and my sister is absolutely no help. They don't have children yet and they always buy for my kids so I get them a gift together and then something individually. I am at a complete loss as to what to get my BIL.

Loves Howard Stern? Seriously?:confused3 And won't go to Disney? How did you allow your sister to marry this guy??:rotfl: I was going to say movie or dining gift cards as a pp suggested. Also, if he's a Starbucks fan, you could get him the Christmas blend and a travel mug. There is a ton of Yankees logo stuff. Also, a really good emergency kit for the car is good. Lots of luck! Men are always the hardest!!:rolleyes1

Well, you just sold me! I just bought 5 of them! :rotfl:

Glad the idea was helpful! I received mine today via UPS. Nice box to wrap. And as I was looking at them, realized they would make great gifts for our pastors too! Ordered 2 more!

And I'm a firm believer that there's something every guy would like at thinkgeek.com

Since he likes Howard Stern what about a copy of GAry Dell'Abate's book? I think he's sterns producer and is often on the show.

He is signing books in nj this weekend and maybe you could call the store to order a signed copy?

I believe tts called They call me baba booey.
