call me old fashioned, but if it is a relative.. a savings bond it not.. there are tons of stimulating toys for the senses out there...

Yeah, I really do love that my friend got oldest DS savings bonds for the first 2 years. No more after, and never for youngest DS. She's so good at finding the best gifts, doing it for 2 years in a row and then going back to the usual stuff.

But I too look mostly at bath toys for that age. The bath crayon things and squirters mostly. That and board books like PPs have said.
