Gift cards?

I seem to recall seeing something about gift cards that can be pre-purchased to apply towards shopping onboard, and beverages. Am I loopy? If there is something like that, what are the parameters, and how do you pre-purchase it?

Buy Disney dollars and save them to turn in when you board on your account. Someone mentioned the Simon gift card, but you can't use that. You can take the Simon card to a Disney store and get Disney dollars for it. That's what I did.

If you go to the Disney cruise site, select gifts, the order form has an option to contribute toward your shipboard account ahead of time.
