I will be purchasing a gift card from the resort shop at the all star sports to pay for our meal at sanaa as it is in the cashless trial. Please can someone tell me I if gift cards come in set amounts(eg $20,50,100) or if you can charge them up with whatever you want to put on them?

Where you notified that Sanaa would be cashless when you dine? What I can find online is that it only affected Jambo House (Sanaa is in Kidani Village) and was slated to end March 30 2018.

I thought the same, I phoned to book the table and the cm I spoke to checked with guest relations who said it was cashless. I'm going to get a gift card just to be on the safe side though. I've also booked it as a surprise anniversary dinner for dh so he also can't pay if it's cashless and I've got a card sorted :rotfl:

Why wait until you get there?

Do you have a Target "Red" Card (the debit card).
If not, look into getting one.

If you buy the cards at Target with their Red Card you get 5% off (all purchases, including Disney Gift cards)! So that $100 anniversary meal will only cost you $95.
The downside is you can only buy them in $50/100 demoninations, but you can combine them into one card for convenience.

Anything you have left over can just be applies to your hotel, to other meals, to souvenirs, etc.

It is just a pain to buy that many at Target since the highest denomination they seem to have is $100.
I personally stock up on them before my trips to save 5% on practically the entire trip. You could save hundreds on an entire trip.

Also Sam club have gift card for a discount. I always get a $500 one for like $475 and then use my Disney CC to pay for it so in the end I save about $20

Unfortunately I am travelling from the UK so getting one before hand isn't really an option for me. The easiest option for me is to run down to the shop at the resort and pay cash for one there so I don't have to pay credit card fees for using my card abroad
